Role and Scope of Position:Responsible for providing analytical support for Eversource business functions. This could include participating on task forces, special studies, business cases, financial and economic analysis, cost benefit analysis, development and monitoring of metrics, etc.
Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.
Essential Functions:
- Analyzes processes and data and converts this into value added thinking and information.
- Provides timely, accurate, and actionable information needed for operational leaders to make critical decisions
- Identifies opportunities for process change or continuous improvement and facilitates the acceptance and implementation of the change.
- Understands information technology solutions and how they apply to business needs.
- Performs or assists in ad-hoc querying and reporting as requested by Eversource management or personnel.
- Works with various departments throughout the Company analyzing data and processes.
- Develops reports, prepares and delivers presentations, writes procedures and performs other activities as needed.
- Performs and implements special assignments as necessary.
- Maintain a current and forward-looking view of staffing and workforce availability so leadership can identify resource gaps before they affect daily operations, emergency preparedness, or storm response.
- Convert operational information into concise reporting and analysis that helps leadership identify Safety trends, performance gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the management team with financial visibility and disciplined tracking of regulatory, compliance, and organizational commitments.
- Responsible for storm restoration and emergency assignments.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Knowledge/Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, statistical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiar with budgeting and accounting concepts.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, charts and building functions, required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Word and Power Point, preferred.
- Experience with electrical utilities and electrical distribution systems, preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience may be considered or the equivalent in combined education and experience is required
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related is required
Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
