As part of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Test organization, you will help implement and industrialize automotive electronics products such as Infotainment Systems, Audio Amplifiers, Telematics Control Units (TCUs), and other connected vehicle platforms.

What You’ll Be Part Of
As a Regional AME Test Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the test strategy and manufacturing test infrastructure for next-generation automotive products. Working as an individual contributor, you will partner with cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, manufacturing, suppliers, and global technology organizations to develop reliable, efficient, and standardized test solutions. Your work will directly impact product quality, production efficiency, and the successful launch of new technologies into manufacturing. How You’ll Make An Impact
- Develop manufacturing test concepts, specifications, and validation strategies that ensure product quality and support successful product launches.
- Lead the development and implementation of hardware and software solutions for test equipment, enabling reliable and efficient testing throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product development, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams to deliver robust test systems that meet customer, regulatory, and production requirements.
- Optimize test processes, cycle times, and test coverage to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce quality risks, and lower operational costs.
- Drive continuous improvement by introducing new test technologies, measurement methods, and industry best practices into manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate test equipment deployment from concept through commissioning, ensuring systems are ready for prototype builds, industrialization, and serial production.
- Contribute to global engineering standards, knowledge sharing, and lessons learned activities to strengthen test engineering capabilities across HARMAN locations.
What Makes You A Strong Fit
- Strong understanding of manufacturing test engineering principles, including test concepts, validation methodologies, and production test systems.
- Ability to design, develop, and troubleshoot test equipment hardware and software in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of C# programming for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing test applications and automation solutions.
- Solid understanding of electronics fundamentals, including analog and digital circuits, measurement techniques, signal analysis, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of measurement techniques, data analysis, and test coverage optimization to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and international engineering organizations.

- Understanding of automotive quality standards and processes, including IATF 16949 requirements.

- This role is based in Székesfehérvár, Hungary and supports global automotive manufacturing and engineering activities.
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required to support suppliers, manufacturing sites, and engineering teams.
- Professional working proficiency in English is required to collaborate effectively with global engineering and business partners.
- This role requires close cooperation with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and external suppliers.
- The position involves supporting both new product introductions and serial production environments, requiring flexibility and effective prioritization of activities.
