JOB SUMMARY: Production Workers are responsible for various duties in the assembly of a variety of food products to be sold in Holiday/CK Stores.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Open various bags and boxes of ingredients to ensure that the bins and totes used at the assembly line are kept filled throughout the shift.
• Assemble sandwiches on a production line using various frozen ingredients including meat, sausage, cheese and egg
• Wrap and label assembled sandwiches.
• Rotate duties and production lines as directed.
• Pack products in boxes; seal, label, and palletize boxes.
• Using a pallet jack to move products.
• Assist in keeping the work area clean and organized as needed.
• Notify Line Lead, Floor lead, Distribution Manager or Plant Manager of inferior product issues or equipment that is not working properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by HSF Management, Supervisors and/or Leads
• Perform all duties in compliance with USDA or FDA, OSHA and state and local regulations and company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Must be 18 years of age or older           
• Have the ability to comprehend basic verbal instructions and read product labels.
• Must be reliable and dependable; available to work Monday through Friday plus Saturday if directed to do so by HSF management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 5 pounds repetitively and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently while performing repetitive twisting and reaching motions with hands, wrists and/or arms.
• Ability to bend, squat and reach above shoulders occasionally
• Ability to stand for an entire shift.
• Must be able to keep up with production line speeds
• Work in an environment that is between 35- and 40-degrees Fahrenheit for an entire shift.

LIMITS OF AUTHORITY

• Can stop line operation at any time for safety and quality issues.

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:

• No minimum education requirement; High School diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.
• 1-Year experience in a food production facility preferred.

Level Increase Structure:

Level 1: Perform daily tasks on the assembly line, maintaining production pace (e.g., handling eggs, sausage, and other proteins). Open and prepare ingredient bags for use, ensuring bins and totes at the assembly line remain stocked throughout the shift. Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate good workplace behavior. Pay Increase: $0.50

Level 2: Be fully trained in all assembly line stations, including ingredient handling (e.g., cheese) and packaging functions. Maintain production pace across multiple stations, including the top label and wrapping stations. Demonstrate leadership and coaching abilities when needed. Exhibit strong communication skills and teamwork. Pay Increase: $0.25

Level 3: Efficiently feed the line with buns while maintaining controlled wrapper speed. Sustain production speed across all assembly and packaging stations, including wrapping and labeling. Be fully trained and certified to operate a power pallet jack. Follow supervisor instructions to ensure productivity goals are met. Adhere to all company safety policies and operational regulations. Pay Increase: $0.50
