Job Summary
Provides complex administrative support in the coordination of operational tasks involved in the day-to-day administration of the Communication Department, including undergraduate and graduate programs as well as programs associated with High Impact Practices: internships, practicums, study abroad, global experiences and scholarships, Fulton School Podcast Studio, Public Relations Agency and Lab, Public Communication Master's Program, amongst others. Collaborates with chair and faculty on department programs, initiatives and experiential learning opportunities/events, including developing, supporting and coordinating existing and new forward-facing projects, recruitment, retention, and marketing efforts for programs. Monitor and maintain multiple department and student group budgets, course delivery and academic programming in conjunction with department chair. Provide support in the implementation of strategies to provide department courses, research, events, and other activities to deliver experiential learning opportunities.

Authority and Accountability
This position is supervised by the chair of the Department of Communication who, in turn, reports to the Dean of the Fulton School

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 3 years of administrative support experience
• Demonstrated computer skills with competency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Knowledge of Workday and MS Teams

Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

The position is a full-time, non-exempt state role with comprehensive benefits.
