The Industry and Processes Global Network Song practice is aligned to the Global Network Song Practice of Accenture and works with clients across their commerce, marketing, sales and services functions. As part of the team, you will provide transformation services driven by key offerings like Marketing, Commerce, Sales and Service. These services help our clients become living businesses by optimizing their retail commerce strategy, thereby driving revenue enhancement, customer satisfaction, cost optimization and impacting business metrics in a positive manner.

Job summary

As a Retail Commerce Senior Manager, you will lead strategic retail commerce engagements for clients. The role requires a strong blend of domain expertise, consulting leadership, retail value chain understanding, stakeholder management, and business development capabilities to shape and deliver scalable, future-ready retail commerce solutions.

Roles and responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end retail growth and transformation programs, including strategy definition, capability assessment, process transformation, capability roadmap development, and implementation planning aligned with client business objectives across store and digital channels.
• Manage client projects spanning customer experience, e-commerce, omnichannel, pricing, promotions, assortment, and operating model transformation initiatives.
• Drive workstreams spanning business process design, requirements translation, and solutioning for core retail functions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders and C-level executives, providing expert guidance on retail commerce best practices, industry trends, store and omnichannel platform capabilities, and operating model evolution.
• Lead the development of assets, business cases, reusable solutions, accelerators, thought leadership, and industry points of view that strengthen the retail offering and support market differentiation.
• Contribute to business development and GTM activities by identifying new opportunities, shaping propositions, developing proposals, and owning solution narratives for retail engagements.
• Identify, prioritize, and scale high-value AI-led/agentic opportunities across retail commerce to enhance business performance, customer outcomes, and operational effectiveness.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience in strategy consulting, business transformation, and leading transformation programs for global clients across retail (grocery, apparel sectors).
• Strong understanding of retail business processes, including merchandising, assortment planning, pricing, promotions, store operations, inventory management, order management, fulfillment, customer service, and omnichannel capabilities.
• Ability to evaluate commerce platforms and technology solutions based on business needs, customer experience priorities, scalability, integration requirements, and long-term value.
• Translate business strategy into actionable transformation programs and operating models
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and C-level executives to drive alignment, secure buy-in, manage expectations, and support executive decision-making.
• Proven business development experience, including opportunity identification, solution shaping, proposal development, and end-to-end ownership of client engagements.
• Team leadership and people development skills to build, motivate, and guide diverse teams across consulting, functional, technical, and delivery capabilities.
• Practical understanding of AI-led retail commerce use cases to improve customer experience, conversion, operational efficiency, and decision-making.

Additional information:

• 13+ years of progressive industry and/or consulting experience in retail, commerce, consumer packaged goods, or related sectors.

• MBA from a Tier 1 institute preferred; MBA or equivalent degree in Business, Strategy, Sales & Marketing.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale retail transformation engagements, including strategy, business process redesign, solution definition, and implementation support.
