本組織は、こうしたPlayStationビジネスの成長をFinanceの立場から支えるチームです。ゲームタイトルやパートナー取引に関するロイヤリティ、ゲーム制作・ハードウェア・R&Dに関する会計、連結・財務報告、税務、さらにはグローバルでの業務プロセス改善など、PlayStationならではの幅広いテーマに取り組んでいます。

組織はグローバル横断の組織となっており、米国・英国をはじめとする海外のAccounting / Tax / Financeチームや、ソニーグループの関係部門とも日常的に連携しています。国や地域、専門領域を越えて協働しながら、変化の大きいビジネスをFinanceの専門性で支えていく環境です。

本求人は、Accounting / Tax領域におけるオープンポジションです。

特定の業務領域に限定して選考するのではなく、これまで培われてきた会計・税務の専門性、ご経験、今後のキャリア志向を踏まえ、SIEのAccounting / Tax領域における複数のポジションから、ご活躍いただける可能性を幅広く検討します。

ゲーム業界での経験や、以下に記載するすべての業務経験は必要ありません。事業会社で経理・税務に携わってきた方はもちろん、監査法人、税理士法人、Accounting Advisory等で専門性を培い、今後は事業会社の一員としてビジネスの意思決定や成長により深く関わりたい方も歓迎します。

主な業務内容

これまでのご経験や専門性、志向性に応じて、以下のような業務を担当いただくことを想定しています。

【Corporate Accounting / Reporting】

・単体・連結決算およびIFRSに基づく会計処理
・財務実績の分析および経営層・ソニーグループへのレポーティング
・監査法人対応、内部統制に関する業務
・日本・米国・欧州のFinanceチームと連携したTechnical Accountingおよび会計処理方針の検討・アラインメント

【Finance Operations / Process Improvement】

・Accounting / Tax業務におけるプロセス改善、標準化
・データ分析やAutomationを活用した業務高度化
・ERPやFinance Systemを活用した業務プロセスの改善
・AIをはじめとする新しいTechnologyを活用したFinance Operationの高度化
・為替・資金管理等のTreasury業務
・Global Finance Projectへの参画および関係部門との協働

【Business / Game & Content Accounting】

・ゲーム制作、ソフトウェア、ハードウェア、R&D等に関する会計業務
・ゲームタイトルやコンテンツに関するロイヤリティ計算、会計・税務処理
・パートナーとの取引や契約内容に基づく会計対応
・新規取引や新しいビジネスモデルに関する会計・税務面からの相談対応

【Tax】

・法人税、地方税、消費税等の申告および税務対応
・国内外の新規ビジネスや契約に関するTax Advisory
・海外Taxチーム、ソニーグループ税務チームとの連携
・Tax Risk Managementおよびグローバル税務戦略の実行支援

求められるスキル・経験

監査法人・税理士法人・Accounting Advisory等で企業を外側から支えてきた方にとっても、これまで培った専門性を事業会社の中で活かし、ビジネスの意思決定や成長により深く関わっていただける環境です。

必須要件

以下のいずれかの領域における実務経験をお持ちの方

・事業会社における経理、決算、財務報告等の経験
・監査法人における会計監査等の経験
・税理士法人または事業会社における税務経験
・Accounting Advisory等、上記に準ずる会計・税務領域における専門経験

加えて、以下のスキル・経験をお持ちの方

・Accounting / Taxに関する基礎的な専門知識
・社内外の関係者と円滑にコミュニケーションを取り、協働しながら業務を推進できる力

※経験年数そのものではなく、これまで担当された業務内容、専門性、役割等を踏まえて総合的に検討します。
※ゲーム業界での実務経験は問いません。

歓迎要件

・日商簿記1級・2級、公認会計士、USCPA、税理士等の資格、またはそれらに相当する会計・税務知識
・IFRS、連結決算、財務報告に関する経験
・SAP / S/4HANA等のERPを使用した経験
・Excel、Power Query等を活用したデータ処理・分析経験
・AI、VBA、Automation等を活用した業務改善経験
・海外拠点や海外クライアントとの協業経験

語学力

・英語を使用するグローバルな環境で働くことに前向きであること
・実際に必要となる英語力は、担当いただくポジションによって異なります

海外のFinanceチームとのメール、チャット、ミーティング等で英語を使用する機会があります。

現時点での英語力のみで判断するのではなく、必要に応じて学びながら、グローバルな環境でコミュニケーションを取っていく意欲も重視しています。語学力向上を支援する研修制度も用意されています。

Who We Are

PlayStation operates across a diverse range of businesses, including game content, digital services, hardware, game development, and R&D, on a global scale.

Our Finance organization supports the growth of the PlayStation business through a broad range of Accounting and Tax activities. These include royalty accounting related to game titles and partner transactions, accounting for game development, hardware, and R&D, consolidated and financial reporting, tax, and global process improvement initiatives.

We work as part of a global organization, collaborating closely with Accounting, Tax, and Finance teams across the U.S., the U.K., and other regions, as well as with relevant teams across Sony Group. This is an environment where you can work across countries, functions, and areas of expertise while supporting a fast-evolving business through Finance.

Role Overview

This is an open position within our Accounting and Tax organization.

Rather than hiring for one specific role or area, we will consider opportunities across a range of Accounting and Tax positions based on your experience, areas of expertise, and future career aspirations.

Experience in the gaming industry is not required, nor do we expect candidates to have experience across every area listed below. We welcome professionals from corporate Accounting and Tax functions, as well as those who have built their expertise in audit firms, tax advisory firms, or Accounting Advisory and are looking to apply that expertise more directly within a business.

This is an opportunity to bring your Accounting or Tax expertise into the diverse and evolving PlayStation business while expanding your experience into new areas across Finance.

Please note that, as this is an open position, it may take some time to identify and introduce a specific opportunity depending on your background and current hiring needs.

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on your experience, expertise, and career interests, you may be considered for responsibilities such as the following.

【Corporate Accounting / Reporting】

・Support standalone and consolidated closing processes and accounting treatment under IFRS
・Analyze financial performance and prepare reporting for management and Sony Group
・Support external audit and internal control activities
・Collaborate with Finance teams in Japan, the U.S., and Europe on Technical Accounting matters and alignment of accounting policies and treatment

【Finance Operations / Process Improvement】

・Drive process improvement and standardization across Accounting and Tax operations
・Enhance Finance processes through data analysis and automation
・Improve workflows through the use of ERP and Finance systems
・Explore and implement new technologies, including AI, to improve Finance operations
・Support Treasury activities, including foreign exchange and cash management
・Participate in global Finance projects and cross-functional initiatives

【Business / Game & Content Accounting】

・Support accounting for game development, software, hardware, R&D, and related business areas
・Manage royalty calculations and related accounting and tax treatment for game titles and content
・Provide accounting support for partner transactions and contractual arrangements
・Advise on accounting and tax matters related to new transactions and emerging business models

【Tax】

・Support corporate tax, local tax, consumption tax, and related tax compliance activities
・Provide Tax Advisory support for new domestic and international business initiatives and contracts
・Collaborate with overseas Tax teams and Sony Group Tax teams
・Support Tax Risk Management and execution of global tax initiatives

What We're Looking For

We are looking for professionals with a strong foundation in Accounting or Tax who are interested in working across a wide range of PlayStation businesses and new Finance topics, and who can collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Candidates coming from audit firms, tax advisory firms, or Accounting Advisory backgrounds are also welcome. This is an opportunity to bring your technical expertise in-house and become more directly involved in business decision-making and growth.

You should have experience in at least one of the following areas:

・Corporate accounting, financial closing, or financial reporting
・Audit experience at an accounting or audit firm
・Tax experience within a tax advisory firm or corporate environment
・Accounting Advisory or other comparable Accounting or Tax expertise

In addition, we are looking for:

・Foundational technical knowledge in Accounting and/or Tax
・Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders

We assess candidates based on the scope and depth of their experience rather than years of experience alone.

Experience in the gaming industry is not required.

Preferred Skills

・Bookkeeping, CPA, USCPA, tax accountant, or other relevant Accounting or Tax qualifications, or equivalent knowledge
・Experience with IFRS, consolidated accounting, or financial reporting
・Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or S/4HANA
・Experience using Excel, Power Query, or similar tools for data processing and analysis
・Experience improving processes through AI, VBA, automation, or related technologies
・Experience working with overseas offices, global teams, or international clients
・Willingness to work in an environment where English is used regularly; the level of English required will vary depending on the specific role

You may use English in emails, chat, meetings, and other communications with overseas Finance teams. We value not only your current English proficiency, but also your willingness to continue developing your skills and communicate effectively in a global environment. Language development support is also available.
