What success looks like in this role:

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team supporting Global Cash Management & Fixed Assets & core accounting operations.
• Allocate work, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance reviews
• Drive a strong control, compliance, service delivery, and continuous improvement culture
• Support talent development, succession planning, and team capability building.

Accounting Operations Oversight

• Thorough hold on Fixed Assets & Cash/Bank accounting. Compliance with GAAP & Unisys policies. Planning & ensuring a smooth period close.
• To ensure smooth monthly close of Fixed assets & Bank activities.
   
• To place Strong control measures.
   
• To ensure high standards of Cash/Bank & Fixe assets accounts Reconciliation.
• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations for assigned regions, ensuring timely and accurate execution of close and control activities
• Review and approve critical accounting activities, escalations, and operational exceptions
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of accounting records and operational outputs

• Own timely and high-quality month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close delivery
• Monitor service levels, key metrics, and issue resolution to support regional stakeholders effectively.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with IFRS / US GAAP / Ind AS (as applicable)
• Review financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for completeness and accuracy
• Lead internal and external audit engagements and address audit findings

• Lead transition, stabilization, and optimization of accounting processes into the COE
• Standardize accounting processes across regions and entities
• Drive automation, simplification, and digitization initiatives to improve efficiency and quality
• Identify and implement best practices and continuous improvement projects

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with cross functional teams such as AP, AR, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Business Finance teams
• Communicate operational issues, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders

Demonstrate effective communication through conversations, emails, written procedures, work instructions, and process documentation

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Preferred Professional Accounting qualification: CA / CPA / CMA / ACCA

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in accounting operations, general ledger accounting or financial close
• Preferred at least 2 years of people management experience.
