Supervisor: Director, Finance
Salary: $17.17 per hour. 4% vacation pay and compensation for Legal Holidays will be included on each pay
Classification: C
Estimated Hours of Work Per Week: 10 hours per week
Start and end date of employment: September 28, 2026 – January 2, 2027
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent may perform some or all of the general accounting functions listed below.
Typical Functions:
Process accounting transactions via bookkeeping and expense claims. Assist in the preparation of specific reports and provide administrative assistance with budget preparation.
Enter journal transactions. Prepares deposits and payment requisitions for approval.
Respond to specific inquiries regarding accounting transactions and support departments in resolving related issues.
Support department in assisting internal and external parties with balances and expense reports.
Respond to general inquiries within area of responsibility and file requests. Follow up as required.
Provide support with record keeping.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
High School Diploma with two years of relevant experience in the field of work.
Studying towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (Preferably entering 2nd year)
Must be a McGill undergraduate student
Must possess high attention to detail.
Possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Possess intermediate Microsoft Word skills.
