Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and versatile Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, and supporting the broader financial operations of the company. You will touch upon all aspects of the accounting cycle and play a key role in supporting our growth.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the processing of supplier invoices, employee expense reports, and customer billing. Ensure timely payments and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.
• Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist the Finance Manager with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, prepayments, and standard journal entries.
• Taxes & Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of Swiss VAT returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations and Swiss accounting standards (Code des obligations).
• Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
• Process Optimization: Continuously look for ways to improve, automate, and streamline accounting processes and internal controls.

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Brevet Fédéral de spécialiste en finance et comptabilité (in progress or completed), or CFC d'employé(e) de commerce with a strong accounting focus.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years of proven experience as an Accountant, ideally within a fast-paced corporate, startup, or scale-up environment.
• Technical Skills: * Solid understanding of Swiss accounting principles (Swiss OR).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems or accounting software (BI a plus)
• Languages: Fluency in French and English is required (both written and spoken). German is considered a strong asset.

• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Highly analytical with problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, handle confidential information, and meet strict deadlines.
