Account Manager
VML is seeking an Account Manager to support the day-to-day activities over a large account in the sports betting space, with a focus on sports partnerships and production. You will be one of the client contacts, ensuring client approvals are secured, objectives are achieved, and local legislature is adhered to in a semi-regulated category. You will communicate externally with the client(s) and internally with the account team to keep all apprised of project status, updates and changes.
What you'll do:
- Build rapport and credibility with client based on trust, sound counsel, responsiveness to client needs and flawless execution.
- Collaborate with creative, project management, production to develop solutions for client.
- Serve as creative and executional project lead; guide the day-to-day development of client marketing projects from start to finish; secure required client approvals (e.g. creative briefs, budgets, creative materials, etc.); ensure progressive steps in the process are approved with adequate time to meet schedules.
- Develop and update both client and project documents including: creative briefs, estimates, project timelines, media plans, status reports, and other supporting materials.
- Review all documents and creative work prior to submitting to client for review.
- Keep agency team informed of client requests and changes; anticipate potential problems; proactively develop solutions.
- Organize client presentations, meetings and conference calls, and prepare relevant documents, including agendas, meeting materials and conference reports.
What you'll need:
- 1-3 years of advertising or related marketing experience, with agency experience preferred.
- Focus and interest in the sports and sports betting sector, with preferred client experience in a regulated category
- Strong organizational skills with an innate ability to attend to detail across states and legislature
- Knowledge and experience executing across 360 tactics and large scale production
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to build relationships and collaborate across teams, departments, vendors and clients to successfully accomplish work
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and professionalism
- Ability to effectively managing multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously
- Proactive approach and positive attitude
