Program Description:

Off-Cycle Intern Analysts in Hong Kong will have the opportunity to work across the Strategic Advisory Group, Restructuring & Special Situations Group, and Private Capital Solutions:

The Strategic Advisory Group consists of one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry, and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions of the past twenty years. Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries, including financial institutions, healthcare, industrials, energy, power & utilities, real estate, and technology, media & telecommunications.

The Restructuring and Special Situations Group advises large companies, governments, and creditor groups in financially distressed situations.  The group has been involved in most of the largest and most high-profile reorganizations that have occurred in the last decade.  In a restructuring transaction, a wide range of strategic advisory services are provided, including advice on recapitalizations, reorganizations, corporate valuations, exchange offers, distressed mergers and acquisitions, and raising debt and equity capital.
 

As a division of PJT Park Hill, the Private Capital Solutions practice is one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry, and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions since the team’s founding in 2008. The practice is fully integrated within the broader PJT Partners platform, leveraging the firm’s global relationships to deliver superior results across the private capital universe. Our highly specialized team focuses on delivering independent advisory and execution services to financial sponsors and institutional investors across a broad spectrum of strategic transactions including:

• Financial Sponsor Solutions: fund recapitalizations, fund restructurings, tender offers, preferred equity / other debt-oriented solutions, management team spinouts and portfolio asset sales

• Structured Liquidity Solutions: securitizations, refinancing of illiquid financial holdings and joint ventures 

• Institutional Investor Solutions: divesture of private fund interests, valuation of private fund interests, transaction structuring and execution support

Responsibilities:

Off-Cycle Intern Analysts will work on a wide range of transactions across all three of the above mentioned Groups, including sell-sides, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, recapitalizations, private placements, leveraged buyouts, restructuring, continuation funds and secondaries transactions. Off-Cycle Intern Analysts are expected to be involved in the development, structuring and financing of transactions and will have the opportunity to attend internal and client meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions. Off-Cycle Intern Analyst work will include: 

• Financial analysis and modeling

• Drafting of client presentations

• Preparation of memoranda for internal and external use

• Conducting financial and other business-related research

• Coordinating complex and often time-sensitive processes  

• Assistance in the execution of transactions

• Active involvement in client facing situations

Qualifications:

Requirements:

To be considered for the Off-Cycle Internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Fluent English-speaker and business proficient in at least one Asian language

• Currently enrolled as a full-time university student or recently graduated (graduation date no earlier than June 2026)

• Anticipated graduation date: June 2026 – June 2027
