Infrastructure
Infrastructure oversees the on-premises hardware and operating systems that power our production trading operations. We optimise hardware performance, analyse Linux internals, and fine-tune systems to ensure peak operational efficiency. Our work is centred on precise performance measurement and targeted enhancements, supporting mission-critical trading systems with speed, stability, and precision.
Cloud
Cloud Engineer delivers the scalable computing and data platforms that support QRT’s research and trading initiatives. We design and manage cloud infrastructure, optimize large-scale data pipelines, and automate provisioning to provide fast, flexible, and efficient research environments. By leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices, we enable researchers to process vast datasets, run complex models, and innovate without infrastructure constraints.
Your present skillset
- Passion for Technology – We’re most interested in your achievements, such as hobbies, personal projects, academic work, or open-source contributions.
- Technical Skills – Examples of relevant experience could include:
- Programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or others)
- Tools such as Git, SQL, and GCC
- Understanding of Linux/Unix system administration fundamentals
- Familiarity with command-line tools and shell scripting (Bash, Python preferred)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus & PromQL)
- Familiarity with Python and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Mindset – Proactive, curious, and unafraid to ask questions, with the confidence to suggest and implement optimizations that improve performance.

Interview Process:

- Technical Assessment - Selected candidates will be invited to complete a coding challenge designed to evaluate core technical and problem-solving skills.
- Assessment Centre / Online Interviews - Shortlisted applicants will proceed to interviews, conducted either on-site or via Microsoft Teams. These will assess both your technical expertise and your alignment with our culture and values.
