This role will be responsible for helping to navigate a full free-to-play business model, and responsible for discussing, advocating for and determining the strategic elements needed for the title to be an ongoing success.
The ideal candidate needs to be experienced at managing a large team of direct and indirect reports, and will have a good understanding of a wide range of leadership, management, communication, and production practices. They also need to be able to help drive and motivate the team and help to cultivate a positive team culture. Ultimately, this candidate will be a problem solver and not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. This will include everything from in-the-trenches problem solving that arises in the development processes to high level team planning and career coaching.
Work with your key reports to create an organizational structure, processes, and project plan that allow the team to produce high quality work efficiently on time and on budget
Work collaboratively with multiple teams to proactively get results and outcomes
Passionately articulate goals and team principles to help form a stimulating and fun work environment and culture
Identifying and helping guide the team around potential hazards that come up through the normal game development process
Help define and set best practices and make sure they are communicated out across the team
Help the game team navigate all stages of the development process.
Help build and strengthen the communication between teams and locations.
Own quality of the product and be the player advocate to the team
Help foster a positive culture
Effectively communicate the core experience of your game to other parts of the Zynga organization, and help ensure that your product leverages the ideas and resources of the larger organization
Above all, flexibility and adaptability are key.
10+ yrs of experience leading and guiding multidisciplinary teams through all stages of development with at least 2 games shipped as Executive Producer, Development Director or Game Director. Mobile experience preferred.
Understands how to lead multi-disciplinary teams to create and grow great games
Extensive knowledge of and fluency in the game development process. Understands the ins and outs of game development from concept through live operations
Able to motivate, support and guide others to attain successful outcomes and business objectives.
Experience with various project management tools. Jira a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong analytical skills, along with a keen attention to detail.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $190,000 and $235,000 USD per Year.
The pay range for this position in Illinois at the start of employment is expected to be between $170,000 and $220,000 USD per Year.

Coordinate game and partner team relationships. Influence partner team strategy based on deep experience.
Create new methodologies for the company by using technology, platform, or channels to drive business value in new ways.
Lead execution of large scale projects with interdisciplinary complexity. Work closely with production to improve processes.
Ensure team’s product decisions are based on strong analysis. Define analytics standards in partnership with an analytics manager.
Inform and validate roadmap/product direction through proactive customer engagement methods and Consumer Insights partnership.
Assume ownership of outcomes for the entire product team. Consistently identify product risks and develop mitigation strategies.

7+ years of experience in product management in game development.
Ability to simultaneously handle complex design challenges across multiple projects/feature areas.
Capable of managing expectations and presenting effectively to the team and senior executives.
A strong manager who ensures reports receive mentorship, training, and feedback
Experienced in facilitating effective cross-functional group communications. Able to adjust communication style as required..

As a key feature owner and technical contributor to the foundation and success of slot machine creation, the Senior Game (System) Designer will independently drive feature implementation, working closely with artists, developers, and other team members to bring a unified vision to life. Create and implement slot machine designs and mechanics, from current industry favorites to new social casino innovations.
Shepard the creation of slot machines from preproduction to launch.

Drive interdisciplinary efforts, own the development process of slot machines and ensure our quality standards are met.
Be highly motivated and independent, looking for opportunities to improve the development process at every stage.
Prototyping experience - You will be responsible for creating the functional framework for art, programming, and math teams.

Zynga is looking for a dedicated and passionate Senior Product Manager who can own projects, drive results and directly impact business performance of large-scale games. As Senior Product Manager, you will work closely with a cross functional group to write product specifications, drive features through launch and understand metrics to make data driven decisions.
Own the Product Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle for new features and optimizations, from initial concept and specification writing through to launch and post-launch analysis.
Design Features: Author clear and comprehensive product specifications, user stories, and wireframes to guide the development team.
Execute on Strategy: Partner with leadership to inform and execute the product strategy and roadmap for your area of focus, ensuring alignment with our core business goals.
Be Data-Driven: Define, monitor, and analyze core metrics and KPIs. Use a hypothesis-driven approach to design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to drive continuous improvement.
Lead a Cross-Functional Team: Collaborate daily with engineering, design, art, and data science to balance business objectives, player experience, and technical investment.
Be the Voice of the Player: Translate player feedback, community insights, and market analysis into actionable product requirements and innovative feature ideas.
Drive Results: Take full ownership of your features' performance, consistently tracking results against defined expectations and communicating outcomes to the broader team.
Product Management Experience: 3+ years of product management experience in gaming mobile apps.
Strong Product Sense: A proven ability to concept new feature ideas, understand the competitive market landscape, and deconstruct user-facing problems.
Analytical Acumen: Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; a natural curiosity for data and the ability to use it to make informed, high-impact decisions.
Exceptional Communication: Outstanding written, oral, and presentation skills. You can effectively articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences, from small teams to senior leadership.
Execution and Organization: Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Collaborative Spirit: A team-first mentality, with experience interpreting community feedback and a passion for sharing insights that help other PMs grow.
Passion for Games: A genuine passion for games and crafting fun, compelling, and exciting user experiences.
Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $108,900 and $161,160 USD per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program. Regular, full-time employees are also eligible for a range of benefits at the Company, including: medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage; 14 paid holidays per calendar year; paid vacation time per calendar year (ranging from 15 to 25 days) or eligibility to participate in the Company’s discretionary time off program; up to 10 paid sick days per calendar year; paid parental and compassionate leave; wellbeing programs for mental health and other wellness support; family planning support through Maven; commuter benefits; and reimbursements for fitness-related expenses.
