Yext is seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our growing team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and operating the Company's payroll function, processes, and systems, including global payroll, commissions payments, bonuses, payroll-related taxes, and certain business operations. The Payroll Specialist will partner with and work closely with the HR, Equity, and Finance teams. Reporting to the Manager of Payroll Accounting, this person will be a true partner to the organization, always approaching work with a lens of adding value to the company. 

What You'll Do

• Maintain, operate and update payroll systems/processes on a daily basis
• Manage the payroll cycle for assigned Yext entities (international and domestic)
• Process global payroll, commissions payments, and payroll taxes transactions
• Investigate and drive resolution to payroll questions from finance and HR teams
• Work with HR, Benefits & Commissions to develop processes for the timely reporting, recording and review of bonuses, new hires, promotions and other compensation-related changes.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and controls, SOX as well as compliance with external laws and regulatory guidance.
• Promote proper procedure and infrastructure within company-wide teams and groups
• Work with Equity & tax teams to ensure tax calculations for equity-based compensation awards are prepared, reviewed and timely submitted to payroll for processing
• Close attention to detail to ensure accuracy and eliminate any subsequent adjustments to payroll
• Commitment to process improve and reengineer current systems to build an efficient and scalable payroll process
• Process Restricted stock options recording and Employee Stock Purchase plan management.
• Maintain the payroll email and ticketing system to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner.

What You'll Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration 
• 2 + years of recent, hands-on payroll processing experience; global payroll experience is highly regarded.
• Experience with major Payroll and ERP systems (ADP, Workday)
• Certification Professional Payroll (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a huge plus 
• Knowledgeable in payroll tax compliance and multi-state payroll processes
• Proven ability to maintain data confidentiality and demonstrate strong professional integrity.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

Yext is seeking a highly skilled candidate for a SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager to join its dynamic accounting team within a fast-paced organization. As part of the larger finance organization, this role will assist the leaders of the SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting function in providing the quarterly and annual financial reporting for the company.

Reporting directly to the SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Senior Manager based in the US, the ideal candidate will be a demonstrated leader and team player who excels at meeting deadlines, is extremely detail oriented, and is able to prioritize multiple commitments.  Having a strong background in U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, external reporting processes and internal controls in a public company environment are also required.

Responsibilities

• Compile quarterly and annual financial reporting SEC filings and related releases (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-Ks), including the drafting and ownership of all financial statements, certain notes and MD&A disclosures
• Ownership of supporting workpaper documentation, tie out process, PBC lists, and GAAP checklists
• Project manage schedules of requests across multiple internal/external teams
• Researching and drafting technical position memos related to complex accounting topics for new, unusual or non-standard transactions                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    
• Initiate and drive process improvement projects focusing on enhancing reporting processes and systems and related internal controls
• Work effectively with internal and external parties including revenue and general accounting, FP&A, legal, investor relations, internal and external audit.

• Report on, evaluate, and update operating and non-GAAP metrics as necessary while ensuring accuracy, definitions, and reconciliations are compliant with SEC guidelines.
• Staying current with emerging and newly released SEC regulations with the ability to outline whether new regulations will have an impact on the company, whether current processes are structured to absorb incremental information requests, and design/implement new processes as needed
• Review other external forms of communication including shareholder letters, earnings releases, and presentations for accuracy
• Support management in completing special projects and ad-hoc technical accounting requests as assigned
• Assist in updating and maintaining internal policy documentation for the company

Minimum Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
• 8+ years of accounting experience with Big 4 and private company experience with an SEC registrant
• Strong knowledge and application of GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls
• Excellent project management skills and keen attention to detail with a solid understanding of various filings (Form 10-Q, Form 10K, 8-K)
• Self-starter with commitment to process improvements and the ability to generate ideas and execute with minimal supervision
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships across the organization
• High degree of dedication, effective time-management abilities, self-starter mentality, and ownership of assigned areas from end to end.

Yext is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join its growing and dynamic accounting team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the monthly close process, analytical and financial metrics, team management & development, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen the overall control environment.

Reporting directly to the Director, Corporate Accounting based in the U.S., this position will lead a team of five and serve as the India Accounting Team Lead. Key responsibilities include leading and owning aspects of the close process, such as cash, prepaids, fixed assets, publishers, accruals and capitalizable software, while driving process improvements and automation initiatives. The successful candidate must be a proven team leader and demonstrate knowledge of business and accounting concepts with strong attention to detail.

What You'll Do

• Lead and own month-end close process, including reviewing journal entries, variance analysis, and balance sheet/income statement reconciliations.
• Direct and manage day to day activities related to the close process, process improvements, automation and analysis of business results to support the company’s growth.
• Research and implement new accounting policies/procedures as well as acting as a technical resource to a variety of stakeholders.
• Review accounting transactions to ensure transactions and financial statements are properly reflected and in accordance with GAAP.

What You'll Have

• Degree in Accounting
• 10+ years accounting experience (preferably with Big 4 background or Big 4/private mix & working in US Public Company)
• CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office tools including MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Strong knowledge and application of GAAP, and internal controls
• Leadership experience with a proven ability to manage, develop, and motivate teams
