THE ROLE

Our ETF Traders are responsible for the design, operation, and improvement of high‐performance algorithmic trading strategies deployed on both electronic trading venues and RFQ trading platforms around the world. Our ETF traders also build and manage relationships with issuers and other trading partners. This team works closely with software engineers to enhance and further develop the firm’s trading strategies. We are looking to significantly expand our market presence in China, Korea and Taiwan.

THE CANDIDATE

• The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3+ years’ ETF experience trading in China, Korea or Taiwan.
• Has strong understanding of derivative products and managing risk.
• Superb mathematical and analytical skills.
• Is experienced in programming and automation – Python and SQL a plus.
• Has deep knowledge and execution capabilities across Chinese, Korean or Taiwan ETF markets.

Virtu's trading desks operate globally across a wide range of asset classes, leveraging our advanced trading technology to develop and enhance our strategies and trading operations across both proprietary and client-facing businesses.

As global markets continue to expand toward 24/7 trading, Virtu is seeking traders who are specifically available to cover weekend sessions. Our Weekend Traders are not expected to work more hours than a standard schedule—but must be open to including Saturdays and/or Sundays as part of their regular workweek.

Our Weekend Traders are risk managers that help to keep our trading systems and strategies running smoothly, providing critical operational support and maintaining our high-performance algorithmic trading strategies. Duties will include:

• Supervising and optimizing strategy performance
• Intraday market and credit risk management
• Basic back office and site reliability monitoring
• Communication and coordination with the larger global trading team

THE CANDIDATE

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field preferred. Strong graduates will also be considered.

The candidate will be responsible for risk management, strategy configuration and implementation and primary market trading. The traders work closely with operations, compliance, brokers and custodians to mitigate risk and generate revenue for the firm. THE CANDIDATE:

• 2-5 years of experience working in a trading support role, or in a comparable role at trading firm or financial institution.
• Excellent academic background. All majors welcome but ones with a quantitative lean preferred (computer science, math, sciences, economics and related fields).
• Bond experience required; knowledge and experience pricing, settling, clearing Fixed Income beneficial. ETF knowledge a plus.

• Research and implement new volatility trading strategies.

THE CANDIDATE

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in options trading at an APAC OAMM (Options Automated Market Maker)

• A solid understanding of APAC options, their pricing and dynamic risks.
• Experience in automated market making in options on indices, futures, equities.
• Strong programming skills, and experience with using Jupyter notebooks.
