We are seeking a leader to join us as a Lead Designer, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram. This position will report to the Manager, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram.

This position is located in Downtown Houston. Work schedule is Monday - Friday in office.

The Senior Designer, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram is responsible for interpreting and creating Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), which are detailed engineering drawings that visually represent the layout of a process system, including piping, equipment, and instrumentation within an industrial facility; essentially, they are experts in understanding the intricate details and symbols used on P&IDs, allowing them to analyze process flow, identify potential issues, and ensure accurate design and operation of the system. 

Responsibilities:

Understanding of and ability to work with process engineering:

• Strong grasp of block flow, process flow, material selection diagrams, as well as the different types of equipment used in various industries. 
• Strong understanding of project/CAD life cycles and workflows.
• Ability to clearly comminute via phone, email, and in meetings.

 Proficient in P&ID symbols and standards:

• Accurately interpret and utilize the standardized PIP symbols used on P&IDs, including those related to valves, pumps, instruments, and safety devices. 

 Experience in design and review:

• Review P&IDs for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with engineering standards, identifying potential design flaws or safety concerns. 
• Experience running P&ID Teams of four users or more with High Value Centers.

 Knowledge of relevant software:

• Experience with the P&ID design software is required.
• 7+ years of experience SmartPlant P&ID
• 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD/MicroStation

Roles where a P&ID Lead Designer might be involved:

 Project engineering teams:

• Contribute to the development and review of P&IDs during all phases of a project. 
• Understanding of Pre-FEED, FEED, Detail Design, and EPC aspects of Capital Projects.

Operations and maintenance teams:

• Analyze P&IDs to troubleshoot issues, plan maintenance activities, and understand system modifications. 
• Understanding of the needs of Plant Operations and Owner P&ID use and functionality.

 Quality assurance teams:

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures related to P&ID documentation. 
• High understanding of the Database over picture needs, as well as the ability to do project wide picture and data audits.

 Training and development:

• Provide training to engineers and technicians on how to read and interpret P&IDs effectively.
• Mentor other team members when assigned to your projects, or if they ask for help.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in science/art or relative field
• 3 or more years of experience as a SPPID Project Drafting Lead
• Experience as a CAD Lead Designer preferred
• Good knowledge of P&ID design software like SmartPlant P&ID or AutoCAD

The Senior Project Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

• Focal point for technical issues/coordination between EPC and owner furnished equipment suppliers. Liaise with home office engineering for the resolution of technical issues that cannot be resolved at site.
• Participate in project safety program through safety walks, attending safety reviews, and providing safety input into designs, procedures, and activities.
• Manage liquefaction scope RFI process between EPC and Owner Furnished Equipment suppliers.

 Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience with design, construction, or operation of petrochemical infrastructure. Experience representing asset owner in these roles is a plus.
• Broad base of general engineering knowledge including mechanical, electrical, and I&C.

This person will be responsible to bulkload piping specs in S3D catalog and make the necessary configurations to ensure that all spec components can be placed correctly in the Smart3D (S3D) model and are represented appropriately on deliverables such as Isometrics and Reports. This person will lead and mentor other team members supporting piping specification development and update in SRD. This person must have a working knowledge S3D modeling environment and must have the ability to configure and troubleshoot issues related to piping specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Setup and configure the SRD instance for Venture Global standard pipe specs, in collaboration with IT, Engineering Technology admins, and Project Engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

• Responsible for leading the entire piping materials team and scope on assigned projects, including work done in overseas offices. 
• Responsible for all material subsections of the piping discipline including material specifications, specialty items, material take-off, and material requisitioning from beginning to final issue.
• Develop, oversee, and ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Track and report progress during project execution.

Responsibilities:

Understanding of and ability to work with process engineering:

• Strong grasp of block flow, process flow, material selection diagrams, as well as the different types of equipment used in various industries. 
• Strong understanding of project/CAD life cycles and workflows.

 Proficient in P&ID symbols and standards:

This position will report to the Manager of Structural Modeling, Design and Draft. This position is located in our Downtown Houston office and is Monday - Friday.

Position Summary 

Senior Structural Designer ownership of structural design packages and modeling strategies, ensure accuracy, constructability and efficiency of design deliverables. You’ll be responsible for mentoring Jr. designers, ensuring quality deliverables and driving digital innovation in modeling and drawing automation. Sr. Structural Designer should have 5 –10 years' experience in FEED design, engineering, fabrication, and construction. 

Job Knowledge

• Experience in large scale Petrochemical, LNG onshore project.
• Lead the development of detailed 3D structural model and drawings using Tekla Structures and S3D. 
• Will assist or review the cost estimates and quantity take-offs for on-going projects, proposals, forecasts, and change-orders. 
• Shall provide technical guidance to contractors/vendors and will generate sketches as needed. 

Responsibilities 

• Experience with automated drawing generation with model-based QA/QC workflows. 
• Experience with Tekla Structures, S3D, & Navisworks. 
• Generate and check fabrication level drawings, general arrangements, and material take-offs. 
• Review the submittal from EPC contractors & internal engineering team for Piling, Foundations, Module & Stick Built Steel Pipe Racks/Structures, and provide technical guidance & constructability review comment. 
• Reviewing, monitoring and ensuring compliance requirements are met for the design (e.g. Standards, specification, model, and local codes and regulations etc.) 
• Regularly performs reviews of vendor documents to ensure specifications and data sheet requirements are met. 
• Considers multiple solutions and makes good decisions based on good data analysis. 
• Manages several different assignments simultaneously. 
• Help develop and enforce modeling and drawing standards. 
• Mentor Jr Designers. 
• In office 5 days week. 

  Qualifications 

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with 5 yrs experience or 10 yrs experience in lieu of degree. 
• 5 -10 years' minimum relevant experience in refining and petrochemical industry, LNG Project, preferably with EPC experience. 
• Travel – 20% expected. 
• Self directs work with limited supervision. 
• Provides guidance, leadership and training to less experienced designers and engineers

We are seeking an Instrument and Control System Senior Designer to join our project team in Houston, TX. 

This position will report to the Principal Engineer, Instrument and Controls.

The role will be part of the team responsible for ensuring that the Plant Instrumentation and Control Systems operate as per design, in a safe and reliable manner with minimal downtime.  

Responsibilities: 

• I&C design/installation technical authority
• Ensure contractor adheres to project and international standards
• Provide design solution to upgrades and modifications on existing facilities
• Assist Commissioning and operation teams to troubleshoot and isolate control system issues
• Participate on Factory Acceptance Tests
• Review staffing and progress of assigned systems deliverables
• Review and approve bulk material substitutions (cables, cable glands, tubing, tubing fittings, etc.)
• Review and approve temporary modifications to I&C equipment
• Provides input to weekly site engineering report

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, preferably with specialization in Process Control, Control systems, and Instrumentation.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience working with instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with:
• Plant Instrumented Control and Safety Systems Honeywell and Emerson CHARMS), Honeywell and Emerson CHARMS), Fire and Gas Systems, and 
• Operational Technology Networks, fiber optic, wiring design.
• IT Network installation for PAGA, Security, CCTV, LAN and Access Control
• Field Instrumentation installation for process measurement including cryogenic applications (e.g. Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, etc.)  Control Valves, Shutdown Valves (Air, Gas, and Motor Operated), Analyzers (H2S, Moisture, etc.) Gas Chromatographs, Flow Metering Systems (Ultrasonic, Coriolis, Differential Pressure, etc.) and their transmission systems (e.g. 4-20mA, Hart, ProfiBus, etc.)
• Packaged equipment instrumentation and installation.
• Experience in LNG liquefaction facilities highly preferred
