Job Summary
Cicoil, a Trexon company, is hiring for a Production Assembler in Valencia, CA. The Production Assembler is responsible for the assembly and manufacturing of various types of cables used in electrical and electronic systems. The Production Assembler is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of the cables produced are up to standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Cable Assembly: Perform the assembly of cables according to specific work instructions, engineering drawings, or diagrams. This includes cutting, stripping, crimping, and soldering wires and connectors, as well as routing cables and securing them with appropriate fasteners.
• Quality: Ensure cables meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and rectify any defects or issues, such as loose connections, improper soldering, or damaged insulation, to maintain the integrity of the final product.
• Equipment Operation: Operate various tools and equipment required for cable assemblies, such as wire strippers, crimping machines, soldering irons, heat guns, and testing devices. Ensure proper handling and maintenance of equipment to maximize productivity and safety.
• Documentation / Labor Clocking in: Adhere to documentation procedures and scan jobs accurately in the ERP system.
• Safety: Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Comply with company policies and quality management systems.
• Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any production-related challenges. Contribute to a positive work environment by actively participating in team meetings and sharing suggestions for process improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency enhancements, or cost reduction within the cable assembly process. Provide feedback and suggestions to supervisors for improving production methods, equipment, or materials.
• Molding: Place materials into molds and models by operating a foot pump injecting potting material around or into them. Spray or brush mold surfaces with parting agents into molds to confirm smoothness and prevent seepage or sticking. Use depth gauges and hand tools to insert and adjust wires, cores, tubes, fittings into molds while aligning the parts and workpieces for proper assembly. Separate parts from molds using a drill to open up molds and check removed workpieces or products for accuracy. Clean excess material from product with cutters and other cleaning tools

The Production Supervisor leads daily operations on the shop floor, ensuring safe, efficient execution of complex Class 3 and Space Addendum assemblies. This role is hands-on and highly visible. Power Connector’s Production Assembler is critical in contributing to the fundamental changes that are transforming Power Connector. This position is instrumental in enhancing and strengthening our manufacturing processes by executing on our internal manufacturing and quality processes and procedures and contributing to continuous improvement and optimization efforts. This position’s primary focus is to assist, contribute, and execute on the team’s strategic plans for manufacturing stability and improvement.
Power Connector’s Production Assembler is a dynamic, adaptable, open-minded problem solver with manufacturing skills suited for individual and team contribution. This position is an integral part in sustaining and improving our manufacturing for expansion within our current industry and penetration into new industries. This position enjoys the inherent challenges of executing on manufacturing systems and processes in a diverse, dynamic, and growing organization. This position has a strong influence on the execution of the fundamental principles of deployed manufacturing processes.

ConexSmart’s technicians play a critical role in the production of complex wire harnesses used in aerospace and defense applications. This position is responsible for ensuring all assemblies meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
