Molding Technician

Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00
Position Summary
The First Electronics Corporation (FEC) specializes in the manufacture of over-molded, extra flexible, multi-conductor, fully EMI-shielded cable assemblies, harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies custom built for military applications and harsh environments. FEC also produces electro-mechanical assemblies and systems for custom applications, all with no minimum quantity requirements. FEC is AS9100D and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified.
The First Electronics Corporation’s Molding Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining molding machines to over-mold electrical cable harnesses and components. This position is also responsible for the assembly and manufacturing of various types of cables used in electrical and electronic systems and for ensuring the quality and functionality of the cables produced are up to standards.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Prior experience with cable manufacturing or working with rubber materials, cable types, connectors, and electrical components is desired but not required. The company will train in all duties required to perform the essential functions of the job.
Knowledge: No prior knowledge is required. Training will be provided on reading electrical schematics, blueprint drawings, and internal FEC/Trexon processes and systems.
Skills: We look for team members who demonstrate attention to detail, patience, and manual dexterity, pride of workmanship and an ability to understand training principles for proper cable and wire manufacturing techniques.
Essential Position Duties

Termination Technician

Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00

Summary
The First Electronics Corporation (FEC) specializes in the manufacture of over-molded, extra flexible, multi-conductor, fully EMI-shielded cable assemblies, harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies custom built for military applications and harsh environments. FEC also produces electro-mechanical assemblies and systems for custom applications, all with no minimum quantity requirements. FEC is AS9100D and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified.
The First Electronics Corporation (FEC)’s wire and cable termination team is responsible for ensuring wire signals and the electrical integrity of wire performance meet the requirements of the customers’ designs and expectations. This position is responsible for wire preparation, insulation removal, pin crimping onto the end of an electrical wire conductor that will be inserted or soldered into a connector. Minimum vision (aided with magnification) requirements and an ability to understand and carry out work instructions and take supervisor instruction are also important in this role.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Prior experience with IPC-620 cable manufacturing and proficiency with any of the tasks detailed below is strongly desired and a major advantage, as well as being able to communicate and share in the English language; however, is not required. The company will train in all duties required to perform the essential functions of the job
Knowledge: Training will be provided on internal FEC/Trexon processes and systems, as required for this position. Training for the role will include removing wire, insulation, tinning the wire, using a crimp tool to crimp a contact onto the wire, and using proper insertion tools to insert wires into connectors.

Kitting Clerk

Position Summary
The Kitting Clerk is responsible for accurately pulling and preparing materials, components, and documentation required for cable assembly work orders. This role plays a vital part in ensuring production efficiency and minimizing downtime by maintaining organized kits and verifying all items are complete and ready for assembly. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The employee must efficiently use one or both hands, alone or with the arm, to handle or assemble objects and have the capability to lift up to 35 pounds.
This role also requires frequent bending, kneeling, and the ability to climb and work on ladders daily. Individuals should be comfortable working at various heights and performing physical tasks that may place stress on the knees or lower back. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Pay: $18-22/hr (depending on experience)
