What is this role like?
We're hiring a Software Engineer for our Infrastructure team — the backbone of everything Topsort runs on. This is not a supporting role. Infrastructure at Topsort is a first-class, mission-critical function. When our infrastructure is healthy, every retailer and marketplace our customers serve gets fast, reliable, and fair auction results. When it's not, we feel it everywhere.
You'll be building and owning the systems that power our real-time auction engine, API platform, and internal developer tooling — at a scale and reliability standard that leaves no room for sloppiness. We need someone who treats production like it matters, because it does.
What You'll Do
- Own the platform - Design, build, and maintain the foundational infrastructure that every Topsort product and engineering team depends on, from compute and networking to deployment and observability.
- Raise reliability - Define and enforce SLOs, build alerting systems that catch issues before customers do, and lead postmortems that actually prevent recurrence.
- Make deployments boring - Build CI/CD pipelines and deployment systems that are so reliable they're invisible. Automate the toil out of every release.
- Manage infrastructure as code - Own our cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) through Terraform or equivalent — no snowflake servers, no manual configuration drift.
- Enable developers - Build internal tooling and platform capabilities that make every Topsort engineer faster, safer, and more autonomous. Your customers are your colleagues.
- Harden security - Implement and enforce security best practices at the infrastructure level — secrets management, network policies, RBAC, supply chain integrity.
- Scale proactively - Capacity plan, load test, and tune our systems ahead of demand — not in reaction to a page at 2am.
- Participate in on-call - We take production seriously. You'll join the on-call rotation and be expected to respond, resolve, and document.
What We Think You Need to Be Successful
We’re open to candidates who don’t check every box but show strong potential.
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, engineering or a related field from top schools
- 2–5 years of software engineering experience with a meaningful portion focused on infrastructure, platform, or SRE work
- Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production — not a homelab, not a tutorial, but real clusters under real load
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar)
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems — you understand CAP theorem, eventual consistency, and failure modes before they happen
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar)
- Comfort with observability tooling — metrics, logs, traces — and the discipline to use them proactively
- A security-conscious mindset: you think about blast radius, principle of least privilege, and secrets rotation without being asked
You'll stand out if you have:
- Experience in high-throughput, low-latency systems (ad tech, fintech, real-time bidding, or similar)
- Familiarity with service mesh, eBPF, or advanced Kubernetes networking
- Experience with database infrastructure and data streaming
- A track record of improving developer experience and reducing time-to-deploy
- Experience at a high-growth startup where infra had to scale faster than the team

We are looking for a hands-on and client-facing Software Engineers, Integrations focused to join our team at Topsort. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in translating real-world business needs into powerful, scalable product solutions. You’ll collaborate directly with sales, product, and engineering teams to support Pre-sales conversations - partner with sales to understand customer pain points, lead technical implementations with Topsort.

- Engage with Prospects & Clients: Work closely with the sales and customer success teams to understand client requirements and propose tailored technical solutions.
- Own Technical Discovery & Demos: Lead technical conversations and run product demonstrations that align our platform’s capabilities with customer needs.

About the Role:
What You'll Do
- End-to-End Assessment of Toppie Display Ads: Run systematic technical audits across the full Toppie display ad stack — from bid request construction and auction participation through creative rendering, impression tracking, and reporting pipelines. Pinpoint discrepancies between expected and observed behavior, reproduce issues in controlled environments, and produce detailed findings that engineering teams can act on immediately.
- Map and Document Marketplace Constraints: Build and maintain a living technical reference of each marketplace's integration constraints — API rate limits, supported ad formats, auction mechanics, event tracking gaps, and reporting inconsistencies. Translate these constraints into concrete engineering guidance and flag blockers that require product or architectural decisions.
- Own Technical Discovery & Demos: Lead technical conversations with marketplace partners and internal stakeholders to validate integration assumptions and surface edge cases early. Run structured demos of Toppie's capabilities to align on what's technically feasible within each marketplace's environment, and feed those learnings back into implementation standards.
- Drive Integration Improvements: Not only flag issues but also own the path to fixing them. Identify recurring failure patterns, advocate for root-cause fixes over workarounds, and partner directly with product and engineering to spec and ship improvements.
- Build Automated Health Checks & Monitoring: Design and implement automated test suites and monitoring tooling that continuously validate Toppie integrations at scale. About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on and client-facing Software Engineers, Integrations focused to join our team at Topsort. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in translating real-world business needs into powerful, scalable product solutions. You’ll collaborate directly with sales, product, and engineering teams to support Pre-sales conversations - partner with sales to understand customer pain points, lead technical implementations with Topsort.

What Is This Role Like?
We’re looking for a driven, strategic, and sharp-witted IT & Information Security Officer to join Topsort and help us build the next generation of privacy-friendly advertising infrastructure. You will play a critical role in owning and scaling our security, risk, and compliance practices, ensuring we meet the highest standards across global frameworks such as SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
This is a highly cross-functional and execution-focused role, where you will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Sales while also acting as a key point of contact for clients on all security and compliance matters.
In this role, you will:
- Security & Compliance Ownership: Own and evolve Topsort’s information security program, ensuring alignment with frameworks such as SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and GDPR. Define, implement, and maintain policies, controls, and procedures.
- Client-Facing Security: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and prospects on security and compliance topics. Support RFPs, security questionnaires, and trust discussions to enable commercial success.
- Risk Management: Design and implement risk management frameworks. Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across systems, processes, and third-party vendors.
- Data Privacy: Ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations. Partner with Product and Engineering to embed privacy-by-design principles across all solutions.
- Audit & Certification Management: Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and successful certification processes.
