WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

• Oversee the growth of agency holding group relationships as a strategic advisor, guiding problem-solving discussions and providing best-in-class client services. 

• Demonstrate the value of The Trade Desk to clients by providing innovative solutions that meet the clients’ needs and our business goals. 

• Lead key agency client meetings in collaboration with business development and trading counterparts. 

• Develop trusting and productive relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. 

• Lead the development of portfolio-specific goals based on the company’s vision and values and responsible for tracking progress of portfolio goals on a regular basis. 

• Become heavily involved in product development by identifying how to build product that provides solutions for our clients’ business objectives and serving as a liaison between our clients and our product team. 

• Manage a small and nimble team of Account Managers; overseeing their day-to-day management, motivating the team by setting clear expectations, developing career path plans, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a high level of performance from the team to develop the next generation of leaders. 

• Manage for team bandwidth, delivering a high-level of account support and reporting progress against goals to management. 

• Communicate effectively with other functional leaders by solving business challenges together, identifying opportunities for growth, and collaborating to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation.

 WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

• Handles the day-to-day trading efforts for a portfolio of accounts, actively supporting more Senior Traders  

• Partners with other business team members to add in-depth product knowledge and develop trading-specific strategies to achieve client goals  

• Owns numerous accounts independently and recognises opportunities to grow accounts; playing a key role in identifying and prioritising client needs  

• Helps to train new and existing clients in all platform operational areas, and to onboard new clients  

• Develop areas of expertise in product offerings and acts as an internal resource for the internal business team  

• Actively pursues ways to grow client business through helping agencies provide new value (savings analyses, campaign planning, performance and measurement, marketing funnel approach, etc.)  

• Assists Senior Traders in onboarding and developing newer traders, and in particular works as an authority on trading-related topics 

• Seeks to provide additional value outside of the role through cultural contributions, collaboration with peers, case study development, new product beta testing opportunities and relaying feedback to our product team. 

• Communicates complex concepts and ideas in a clear and concise manner, across audiences with varying levels of expertise.

• Extensive experience within programmatic advertising 

• Client-facing experience, building and developing relationships as well as confidently presenting in front of clients 

• You're a very strong communicator that collaborates effectively across an internal client services team and leads by example for more junior members of the team 

• Show consistent ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts in a simple, straightforward manner 

• Effective time management skills – ability to prioritise and meet deadlines 

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities. Love to problem-solve, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a dynamic environment

• Optimize client investment and grow existing business by identifying upsell opportunities and new strategic “big bets”.
• Analyze campaign performance, market trends and data signals to generate actionable insights and thought leadership for agencies.
• Develop compelling case studies from successful campaigns
• Work hand‑in‑hand with internal Business Agency Development and Client Services teams to build and maintain a strong, sustainable pipeline of opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in Business Development, agency sales or solution‑based selling within digital advertising.
• Strong existing relationships with agency stakeholders, media leaders and technology decision‑makers.
• Prior experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, DSP, SEM platform or within a leading agency.
• A strong hunter mindset: you enjoy prospecting, opening doors and winning new business.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Experience in sales, consulting or strategic advisory roles is highly valued.
• Advanced knowledge of online media and programmatic advertising, including CTV and data‑driven activation.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment with ambiguity, and able to influence without formal authority.
• Curious and quick learner, able to rapidly grasp new technologies, products and market evolutions.
• Experience managing complex, longer sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong cross‑functional collaborator, able to align internal teams around shared objectives.
• Tech‑savvy, innovation‑driven and passionate about the Open Internet.
