Our businesses share a devotion to innovation, independence and rigour in their fields of expertise. We empower people to understand and tackle the critical challenges and changes facing the world. Our analytical rigour, global expertise and evidence-based insights enable individuals and organisations to make sense of these shifts and chart a course through them.
We deliver analysis and insights in many formats to subscribers and businesses in 170 countries through our three businesses, The Economist, Economist Enterprise and Economist Education, which uphold our global reputation for excellence and integrity.
Economist Enterprise is the B2B division of The Economist Group, bringing together our data, analysis and commercial capabilities in one place. As part of the team, you’ll work at the intersection of insight and impact - helping organisations navigate global economic and geopolitical change, make better strategic decisions, and connect with influential audiences.
Our work combines the analytical depth of the EIU with the reach of our media, content, events and client solutions - offering a unique opportunity to shape how leading organisations understand and respond to the world around them
About The EIU & The Role
The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) is the research and analysis division of The Economist Group. We provide insight, analysis, and data that help governments, multinationals, and financial institutions make better decisions in an increasingly complex global environment. We are seeking an Account Executive to help grow our presence across the region. This role is suited to a commercially motivated seller who enjoys creating opportunities, engaging key decision-makers, and taking responsibility of deals from first conversation through to close. You will sell EIU’s research and data-led solutions to organisations navigating geopolitical, economic, and regulatory change, working with a range of stakeholders including business leaders, strategy teams, and data-adjacent functions. The role offers strong exposure, responsibility, and the opportunity to deepen expertise in information and data-led selling over time.
The Account Executive, ASEAN (Singapore-based) is a 360° sales role for a strong outbound seller who can take responsibility of opportunities from creation through to close.
You will manage a defined ASEAN territory, driving new business through proactive prospecting and consultative engagement with senior business and data-adjacent stakeholders. The role requires commercial curiosity, thorough execution, and comfort selling information and data-led solutions into complex organisations.
This is a broad, meaningful role with visibility across the business and scope to grow depth in data-led selling over time.
What you’ll do
• Own the full sales cycle across your territory, from prospecting to close.
• Generate pipeline through consistent, high-quality outbound activity.
• Qualify and progress opportunities involving multiple stakeholders and longer sales cycles.
• Engage confidently with senior executives and data or analytics teams, tailoring your message to different buyer personas.
• Use Salesforce and modern sales tools to manage pipeline, forecasting, and deal progression with discipline.
• Build trusted client relationships and deliver against revenue targets.
What you’ll bring
• 5-8+ years’ experience in a full-cycle sales role within SaaS, information services, or data-adjacent B2B environments.
• Proven ability to prospect, build pipeline, and close new business.
• Experience selling consultative, insight-led solutions to key decision-makers.
• Commercial comfort with data-led propositions, including analytics workflows and APIs (deep technical expertise not required).
• Strong Salesforce hygiene and forecasting discipline.
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate autonomously across ASEAN.
• Based in Singapore, with regional travel as required.

Economist Enterprise’s Policy & Insights team combines qualitative and quantitative research techniques to generate new insights to support the marketing and communications objectives of businesses, governments and international organisations.
The role of Senior Expert, Energy & Environment plays a key role in the delivery of Economist Enterprise’s independent thought leadership research programmes, ensuring the highest standards of editorial quality. As our journalism spans an ever-growing archive and range of formats, helping audiences find, explore and understand our content within our products is central to delivering long-term value. Search and discovery are not simply navigational utilities, but core expressions of how our journalism is structured, explained and trusted.
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Principal Product Manager to lead Search & Discovery across The Economist’s web and app products. This role brings together responsibility for how users actively find content through search and how they browse, explore and build reading habits through discovery.
This role is ideal for someone who is both strategic and hands-on - someone who can set a clear vision for a complex, editorially-grounded product area while also driving measurable improvements to engagement, satisfaction and long-term subscriber value.
The role
The Principal Product Manager for Discovery & Personalisation will own how subscribers find, explore and return to The Economist's journalism across web and app. This is a senior, cross-cutting role spanning two closely related disciplines:
Discovery. Owning the on-platform representation of our content - search, navigation, browse patterns and conversational interfaces that allow users to interrogate the archive and find authoritative journalism efficiently. This includes keyword and semantic search, ranking and surfacing logic, and generative AI features such as Q&A, content summarisation and conversational discovery experiences. A key part of this work is establishing the evaluation frameworks and human-in-the-loop processes that ensure AI-powered features are grounded in user trust and consistent with our editorial brand.
Personalisation. Owning the recommendation and ranking algorithms that drive browse-led experiences — helping subscribers decide what to read, watch or listen to next. This means defining the behavioural signals and contextual inputs that feed personalisation models, partnering with data science on model development and evaluation, and ensuring our systems support habit formation without narrowing editorial perspective.
The role interfaces with Web, App, Data science, Editorial and Analytics teams.

The team consists of 3 designers - from Mid-weight to Senior level - working across registration, conversions, purchase flows, subscription management and help centre on app and web. You will partner with peers in engineering, product management and marketing to raise the bar of design, experience and product thinking in teams that are re-imagining and optimising crucial steps in our subscription funnel to drive new acquisitions and retain subscribers.
Your role will be to connect product and business strategy with the product teams across the e-commerce and subscriptions area.
