• Drive the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle with a relentless focus on performance metrics, including quality of hire, pipeline velocity, and offer acceptance rates.
• Continuously refine and scale our recruitment processes to maximise efficiency, improve hiring outcomes, and deliver a best-in-class experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
• Lead data-informed employer branding initiatives and recruitment campaigns that measurably increase the quality of our inbound applicant pool for critical tech roles.
• Own the candidate journey from initial contact to onboarding, ensuring every interaction is optimised to engage, attract, and convert top-tier talent.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with a global team to design and build a unified global banking platform. This includes high-level APIs for multiple regions and local implementations, ensuring high availability and observability

About our team

SumUp's TA team is shifting from reactive hiring to a structured, KPI-driven delivery model, and this role is at the centre of that change. You'll be the dedicated TA Delivery Lead for our Run & Grow tribe, the product and engineering teams behind our core merchant-facing products: payments, point-of-sale, financial tools, and merchant care. It's one of the largest and most complex portfolios at SumUp, a niche mix of Software Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and Customer Experience profiles across 80 to100 roles annually, that take real market knowledge and sourcing craft to fill well.

You'll run your own desk while coordinating the wider team, and if you're a skilled recruiter ready to grow into project management and informal leadership, this role is built for exactly that. Berlin's tech talent market is deep but specialised, and this role gives you the structure, the data, and the mandate to hire well in it. Fluent English is essential, as you'll be working across a global team and stakeholder group.

What you'll do

• Run a full recruiting desk for around 15 EP&D roles per year, owning the process end to end from sourcing strategy through to offer
• Coordinate a wider group of in-house and contract recruiters across the portfolio, tracking pipelines, managing workload, and keeping quality consistent
• Co-create the reporting framework from scratch; funnel metrics, SLAs, outreach-to-interview rates, time-to-hire, and use it to predict where hiring will slow down before it does, surface risks early, and make the case for resources
• Develop a predictive hiring model that helps the team get ahead of demand, balancing the speed the business needs with the quality bar we can't compromise on
• Partner with senior leadership to align hiring to business priorities, run a regular hiring forum, and make sure the right roles get the right attention at the right time
• Design and launch an evergreen pipeline model for priority roles, working out which roles need it, which sourcing channels to use, and embedding it into everyday team rhythms ensuring the pipeline is continuously nurtured

You'll be great for this role if…

• Strong hands-on recruiting experience across Engineering, Product and Design roles, with a track record of closing quality hires in high-volume, fast-moving environments
• Experience building or improving recruiting processes: funnel reporting, SLAs, scorecards, with a clear understanding of how to balance speed with quality at every stage
• Comfortable coordinating other recruiters and holding delivery standards without direct management authority
• Confident using hiring data predictively: spotting patterns in the funnel before they become problems, and turning insight into a clear recommendation for senior stakeholders

You’ll be part of our Internal Audit team, reporting directly to the Global Head of Internal Audit. The team plays a crucial role in safeguarding SumUp’s operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement across the business. What You’ll Do

• Lead and execute IT-focused internal audits, ensuring that SumUp’s systems and controls meet regulatory and business requirements
• Uncover insights and improve audit efficiency by analysing data: run queries, extract information from systems, and apply advanced analytics
• Develop a focused IT audit plan, shaping how we evaluate technology risks across the company
• Translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations and present them with confidence to management and stakeholders
• Act as an independent voice for control and compliance, building trust while navigating resistance and influencing change
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to foster a culture of proactive internal controls
• Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with evolving IT standards, regulations, and best practices
• Conduct targeted audits of AWS security standards and access controls across our cloud environment, ensuring credit card data stored in cloud services is adequately protected;
• Perform risk-based reviews of payment products and ensure security requirements are consistently embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identifying anomalies or excessive privileges across different systems and payment platforms.

You’ll Be Great for This Role If

• You have at least 4 years of internal audit experience within a regulated financial services environment.
• You bring proven IT auditing expertise and strong knowledge of audit standards and risk management.
• You are experienced with IT general controls, compliance, governance, and security frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ITIL, NIST, LGPD, GDPR).
• You have advanced data analytics skills and can leverage them in your audit work.
• You communicate clearly in English and are skilled in writing impactful reports.

• Build and maintain production money movement backend services, contributing to their delivery, observability, and ongoing maintenance.

About the role

SumUp is looking for an Endpoint & MDM Manager to join our Corporate IT team. In this role, you will be the technical lead and architect for our global device landscape, acting as the bridge between high-level security requirements and day-to-day operations. Your mission is to transform our high-volume environment into a "silent" operation where every device is compliant, tracked, and managed without manual intervention.  You will manage a fleet of 3,800+ devices across multiple regions, with a roughly 2:1 MacBook to Windows split, requiring deep fluency in both ecosystems.

You will join a global team consisting of System Administrators, and external admins across the EU and the Americas, reporting to the Head of Global IT. You will build a team, create detailed documentation, and provide strategic training to the wider global team.

What you’ll do

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of our current Azure/Entra setup and lead the "clean up" to ensure our security and compliance posture is top-tier.
• Review and manage our Zero-touch deployment strategy using ABM, DEP, and Windows Autopilot to ensure a perfect first-day experience for every new hire.
• Drive the adoption of AI-powered tooling and automation to reduce manual device management toil and scale the team's operational output.
• Partner closely with the Systems Engineering function to ensure device compliance policies and identity controls are aligned, with clear ownership boundaries between endpoint and identity.
• Solve the complex puzzle of hardware/software lifecycles by integrating the CMDB with our Service Desk, bringing automated asset recovery and sustainable e-wasting to life.
• Act as the primary stakeholder for Security and People teams, ensuring 100% device compliance and frictionless onboarding/offboarding.
• Determine if and when our infrastructure is ready for its next evolution, managing migrations from current setups to specialized tools like Kandji (Iru).
• Collaborate with Finance and Procurement on hardware budgets, leasing contracts, and asset lifecycle costs.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if

• You have 5+ years of experience in a Senior IT Operations or Systems Engineering role, with a track record of acting as a technical lead or mentor.
• You are an expert in Azure and Entra ID, with a deep understanding of managing identity and devices within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• You have mastered Zero-Touch Deployment and have proven experience architecting solutions with Windows Autopilot and Apple Business Manager.
• You have successfully navigated MDM migrations, specifically moving fleets to specialized tools like Kandji or Jamf.
• You possess expert-level knowledge of both macOS and Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and configuration.
• You have a "Systems-Thinking" mindset, preferring to build automated solutions rather than applying "band-aid" fixes to root causes.

• You are energized by "cleaning up": You aren't looking for a mature, fully documented fleet and ideally want to be the one to build the global blueprint for how SumUp scales.

• Hands-on experience with specialized Mac MDM tools like Kandji, Jamf, or Mosyle.

As Engineering Manager for Verification, you will lead the squad responsible for identity checks across all of SumUp's markets. At the same time, you will create the conditions for engineers to do their best work by providing direction, support, and space for ownership. What you'll do:

• Lead the Verification Squad as its engineering leader, creating focus and momentum by removing bottlenecks, managing cross-team dependencies, and helping engineers navigate complexity across legacy systems and evolving processes.
• Partner closely with Product, Compliance, and Operations to translate complex cross-market KYC and KYB requirements into clear engineering outcomes, identifying buildability considerations and regulatory risks early.

About the role

As a Senior Embedded Engineer in SumUp’s Hardware Tribe, you will be part of a small and highly skilled cross-functional team working alongside Hardware Engineers, Product Managers, QA Engineers, and more. You will play a central role in bringing up SumUp’s next-generation Android-based payment devices — from bootloader and kernel all the way through to framework integration and validation.

This is a relatively new role as SumUp transitions to the Android platform for its in-house hardware products. Unlike most Android devices, our hardware is a highly customised, security-focused payment device built from scratch — requiring a deep understanding of both embedded hardware and software.

The role is based on-site in our office in Berlin. We believe in the power of face-to-face conversations that happen organically when working next to one another.

About the team

About the role

As Chief of Staff, you will act as a strategic partner to a C-level executive, helping translate strategy into execution across the organization. About the role

As a Hardware Engineer at SumUp, you’ll play a key role in the early-stage development of our physical products. Working within the Hardware Tribe, you’ll be responsible for translating product specifications into efficient, scalable electrical designs. As a Senior Technical Product Manager for Commercial Data products, you will own the strategy, discovery, and prioritisation of initiatives that form the backbone of SumUp’s commercial foundation, from attribution models to commissions and incentives. The People Enablement team ensures every SumUpper has a consistent, high-quality experience throughout their time here,  from their first day to their last.
We're building something ambitious: a People Ops and Payroll function that's faster, smarter, and built to scale across borders. As the lead for Northern Europe, you'll shape how a team of eight operates across Germany, the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Belgium turning complexity into clarity and manual work into automation. • Lead and develop a team of eight People Ops and Payroll partners, consolidating two distinct functions into one integrated, accountable regional team
• Map, redesign, and scale core processes across the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding through to offboarding — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all markets
• Identify and implement automation opportunities using no-code and low-code tools, reducing manual effort and setting a new standard for how the team works
• Build a success measurement framework covering SLAs, error rates, and processing times — and report on this regularly to senior stakeholders
• Partner with Finance, People Partners, Legal, and Compliance to ensure payroll accuracy and regulatory alignment across Germany, the UK, and beyond

• Proven leadership experience in multi-country People Ops, with Germany as a core market and exposure to the UK, Ireland, or the Netherlands

Our EU Partnerships team sits at the heart of SumUp's commercial growth, scaling revenue through Integration, Referral, and Reseller partnerships that already generate €30M in net revenue annually. What you'll do

In Global Operations, we build the best customer experience in fintech. The Senior AI/ML Engineer role is critical for developing and deploying the next generation of AI-driven solutions that automate support and drastically improve the experience for both our merchants and support agents. You will be a key expert who builds and maintains the ML infrastructure and tooling that powers our core products using advanced AI/ML models. What You'll Be Doing

• You will be the dedicated technical leader for the Operations AI team, focused on designing, developing, and deploying high-performance, scalable ML/AI solutions in production environments.
• Architect, design, develop, and deploy our AI solutions and systems into production environments, ensuring reliability, high performance, and scalability.
• Take ownership and technical leadership in the development and maintenance of main AI products, including the AI Assistant (automating ~40% of merchant requests), AI Translation (enabling cross-language agent service), and the AI Agent Copilot.
• Develop and maintain ML infrastructure and pipelines to support efficient data processing, model training, serving, and continuous monitoring.
• Optimise and fine-tune machine learning models, and collect, preprocess, and clean large text datasets to ensure high-quality input for model training and evaluation.
• Embrace software development principles, best practices, and industry standards, including version control (Git), CI/CD processes (GitHub actions), and unit testing frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Developers, and other business stakeholders to enhance customer experience and improve operational efficiency globally.
• Complex Onboarding: Rapidly master a large, existing AI assistant infrastructure, starting immediately with working on behaviour improvements and agentic rollouts.
• Pilot and Innovation: Lead the creation of the pilot for the Voice Assistant and design how to leverage current AI assistant components to empower new channels.

You’ll Be Great for This Position If You Have

• 7+ years of proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or AI Engineer, focusing on building and deploying scalable machine learning or AI solutions and data-driven systems.
• Expert-level Python proficiency and excellent software development engineering skills for designing computationally effective solutions in large-scale production.
• Strong previous experience as an ML or AI engineer, with models in production, and a strong understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning concepts.
• Experience using GenAI / LLM API and experience evaluating LLM models in production.

We’re evolving toward a Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) strategy, enabling shared development across Android and iOS. In this role, you’ll learn, refine, and help implement this technology, shaping the future of our mobile apps.

This role is on-site in Berlin, where face-to-face interactions spark innovation and teamwork.

What you’ll do

• Build new features for the item catalog within the SumUp SuperApp
• Help improve the architecture of the application and contribute to our Kotlin Multiplatform strategy
• Enhance and maintain our unified android app, distributed across 60+ countries, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions
• Shape the product’s evolution by identifying opportunities for improvement and contributing to daily decision-making
• Write thorough documentation and implement robust testing for features before shipping
• Collaborate closely with Designer, Product Manager and Android engineers to deliver a unified UX experience across platforms
• Coach and mentor other engineers

You’ll thrive in this role if:

• You have 3+ years experience in mobile engineering with Android and Kotlin.
• You have 2+ years of experience working with Jetpack Compose.
• You have a solid understanding of software design patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI) and expertise in building modular, scalable app architectures.
• You have good knowledge of reactive programming (Flow, Coroutines and Concurrency).
• You have a strong grasp of testing best practices: knowing what to test, why, and how to write resilient tests.
• You strive for clean code, and you are flexible to balance pragmatism and perfection.
• You have a keen interest in multi-platform development using Kotlin Multiplatform.
