Position Overview

St. Anne's-Belfield School is seeking a Varsity Boys’ Soccer Assistant Coach to build upon its strong legacy and thriving sports program. Reporting to the Director of Athletics and assisting the head coach, the successful candidate is passionate about the role that soccer can have in developing the character of student-athletes and furthering the School's mission. The assistant coach subscribes to the philosophy that the soccer program must work alongside other sports as a complement to the entire Saints athletic department.

This position will be hired for the Fall Soccer season, which generally runs for 14-16 weeks.  A bi-weekly stipend will be paid during the season.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducting research and analyzing previous games to develop practice and game plans.
• Determining individual player abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and factoring these into the season competitions and strategy sessions.
• Organizing team-building sessions and activities off the field.
• Fostering good sportsmanship in all team players and in all phases of athletic participation.

St. Anne’s-Belfield School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse Substitute to join our team, providing coverage on an as-needed basis across the Lower School and Upper School campuses.  The School Nurse is responsible for executing the school health program, assisting with student well-being, and completing health-related tasks. 

Standard work hours are 7:50 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Essential Duties:

• Assists sick or injured students and staff, performs routine and emergency first aid
• Calls parents of ill students; assists ill students as needed until parent arrives
• Administers medication to appropriate students, with parental permission and a doctor's order for prescription medication; keeps medication permission forms on file
• Informs administrators and school personnel about students with health issues in compliance with medical privacy regulations
• Maintains the school clinic; secures medications, including controlled substances, as required

Position Summary: The Audiovisual (AV) Performance Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end execution of technical production for school events, arts performances, and external rentals. This is a high-availability role requiring travel between two campuses and a flexible schedule to manage dynamic production needs, including the coordination of IT staff for concurrent events.  The Specialist ensures the seamless operation of sound, lighting, and video systems while providing expert support to the Visual and Performing Arts Departments, Auxiliary Services, and the IT team. Given the irregular nature of event production, this position is granted the professional autonomy to manage a flexible workweek—balancing evening and weekend demands with "flex-time" during standard school hours to maintain a sustainable workload.  As a key resource for the entire school community, the Specialist works with students across the full age spectrum—from our youngest learners in the Lower School to young adults in the Upper School. While collaborating most closely with the Arts departments, the Specialist provides professional AV support to all divisions and must maintain a positive, encouraging, and patient demeanor with every student and faculty member. Depending on the candidate’s background and interest, this position may also include an instructional component (approx. 20%), teaching one or more sections of our 6-week elective courses: Audio Engineering 1, 2, and/or Technical Theatre at the Upper School (Grades 9 – 12) level. Responsibilities:

Event Production & Logistical Coordination

• Live Performance Operation:  Serve as the primary lead technician responsible for running high-level commercial audio/lighting mixing boards, digital projectors, and webcasting equipment during dynamic, high-capacity events, ranging from choir and orchestra concerts to theatrical productions and formal school ceremonies.
• Production & Performance Execution: Attend all designated technical rehearsals—including theater "Tech Weeks," concert soundchecks, and final rehearsals for major school ceremonies (e.g., Lessons and Carols, Convocation, and Commencement). Supervise the technical mounting of each event, fine-tune audio/lighting cues, and provide real-time troubleshooting to ensure seamless execution.
• Technical Logistics: Manage all AV services for school functions and external rentals across both campuses. Coordinate and deploy IT staff resources when multiple events overlap to ensure full technical coverage.
• Broadcast & Digital Media Support: Support the technical setup, audio integration, and recording for single and/or multiple camera setups. Lead the production of school podcasts, including sound editing and post-production to ensure professional-grade audio output.

Infrastructure & Asset Management

• Equipment Maintenance & Updates: Proactively manage the technical health of all AV systems. This includes executing regular firmware updates, software patches, and hardware refreshes to ensure all equipment remains secure, functional, and up to date.
• Asset Lifecycle Management: Maintain an accurate, up-to-date inventory of all AV assets across both campuses. Establish and execute rigorous preventative maintenance schedules for all theater, auditorium, and classroom AV equipment.
• Vendor & Repair Coordination: Troubleshoot complex technical failures and engage third-party vendor support for specialized repairs when appropriate.
• Multi-Campus Mobility: Maintain a high level of readiness to travel between campuses to address immediate technical needs, setup requirements, or concurrent event support.

Mentorship, Training & Policy

• Technical Guidance: Provide hands-on training for students and faculty during rehearsals and productions, translating complex technical concepts for novice users.
• Documentation: Create tutorials, "how-to" guides, and safety manuals for departmental systems, recording equipment, and auditorium usage.
• Facility Governance: Develop and manage safety and usage guidelines for production booths and auditoriums, fostering a secure environment for all users while prioritizing equipment preservation and performance readiness.

Strategic Planning & Innovation

Position Overview

St. Anne's-Belfield, a PS - 12 school serving 900+ students in Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking an Assistant Varsity Swimming Coach for the 2026-2027 school year to build upon its strong legacy and thriving sports program. Reporting to the Athletic Director and working with the Head Coach and team of assistant coaches, the successful candidate is passionate about the role that swimming can have in developing the character of student-athletes and furthering the School's mission. The assistant coach subscribes to the philosophy that the swimming program must work alongside other sports as a complement to the entire Saints athletic department.  This position would take place during the Winter Athletics season, which goes from November through February.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supporting our Varsity Head Coach and working with our student athletes in all areas of our swim program.
• Determining individual swimmer abilities, strengths, and goals, and factoring these into the season competitions and strategy sessions.
• Fostering outstanding sportsmanship in all team players and in all phases of athletic participation.
• Managing and supervising athletic activities, meets, and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, and respect.

• Reimagining a modernized, agile, and best-practice-based Information Technology (IT) department that meets the needs of all students, faculty, and staff.

• As the school’s compliance and risk officer, serving as the first point of contact for risk management issues, directing the risk management process for the school, and ensuring effective liability insurance for building assets, equipment, employees, students, and trustees. 
• Attending and presenting financials at all Board and select Board Committee meetings. 

• Financial: 

• Assisting the Director of HR in evaluating benefit negotiations, resulting in the most competitive packages for faculty and staff. 
• Providing operating budget oversight and preparing and presenting financial reports for both internal and Board functions. 
• Managing the employee and vendor contract process and partnering with the head of school on legal matters impacting the school. 
• Working closely with key trustees and monitoring the school’s investment portfolio. 
• Developing, maintaining, and reporting all required environmental, health, and maintenance standards as required by law and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. 

• Financial Aid: 

• • Co-chairing the Financial Aid Committee with the Associate Head of School for Enrollment Management. 
  • Managing the School’s relationship with vendors related to the financial aid allocation process.  
  • Preparing financial aid reports for internal and board purposes.
