As an Associate Manager in PSS QA Engineering Services, you will be a key part of our global leadership team, shaping and delivering exciting services that provide real value to our studios, and contribute meaningfully to the future of PlayStation and the gaming industry.

You will lead our talented, multi-cultural, and engaged ALM Support team, owning the strategic service direction and supporting the team as they develop their skills and reach their full potential.

ALM Support acts as the backbone of PlayStation’s development infrastructure, managing the enterprise ALM systems and workflows (like Jira and TestRail) that allow our studios to track progress, manage quality, and ship world-class games.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leadership of staff in multiple regions as part of the global ALM Support team and wider PlayStation Studios QA Engineering pillar

• Overseeing the technical configuration and health of our global Jira and TestRail instances, ensuring they are optimised to meet the unique needs of our studios

Our team, PlayStation Studios' International Production & Localisation (IPL), is looking for a Senior Manager to lead our global Production and Localisation QA teams and drive excellence and innovation in the services we offer!

We partner with PlayStation Studios and external development teams, providing best-in-class localisation, production and LQA solutions that enable them to deliver outstanding games to a global audience!

Reporting into the Senior Director, International Production & Localisation, you will play an integral part in finding opportunities to drive innovation, increase operational efficiency, and further develop our core expertise in all aspects of localisation production, localisation QA, and international publishing. You will lead two critical functions - Production and LQA – driving seamless collaboration and shared excellence across teams.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead IPL’s global Production and Localisation QA teams, ensuring they deliver high-quality work on time and on budget while achieving personal and departmental growth
• Build strong partnerships across PlayStation Studios, working closely with game creators to ensure their goals and needs are met
• Oversee multiple simultaneous projects, refining production processes and LQA methodologies whilst identifying dependencies, trade-offs and resolving risks
• Define excellence for localisation production and LQA services, establishing best practices and driving innovation across both functions, particularly around emerging technologies and automation

What we are looking for:

• 10+ years' experience in games production or development roles with a successful track record delivering AAA titles
• Strong knowledge of both localisation production and QA, with understanding of current industry trends, emerging technologies, and automation in both subject areas
• Deep understanding of game development lifecycle, production methodologies, best practices and tools across multiple genres, platforms and business models
• Experience integrating new teams or functions into existing organisations and leading through organisational change
• Experience successfully leading, motivating and developing diverse, high performing teams across different cultures and time zones
• Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organisation
• Strong project management skills with ability to prioritise and manage complex operational issues across multiple projects and partners

Role overview:

Reporting to the group Technical Director, the Audio Programmer will provide tool development and technical system design & implementation for PlayStation Studios audio tools and technology department. Working across an array of PlayStation Studios interactive titles, the role will involve game code, middleware and plugin development along with offline tool development. It will also mean interfacing with multiple teams such as R&D, platform, game teams, QA and more across the globe.

• Design of audio tools for sound design and music team.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to build AI-powered tools and integrations that plug directly into game engines, editors, clients, and backend services. You’ll deliver high-quality C++ integrations across proprietary studio engines, ship robust build/QA automation, and partner with multiple PlayStation Studios teams to make AI an everyday part of development.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and maintain engine/editor plugins, runtime SDKs, and services that integrate AI (LLMs and related systems) into game clients, servers, and build tools.
• Ship performant, memory-aware C++ by profiling, optimizing, and debugging across PC/console builds with tight frame budgets.
• Design stable API surfaces for game teams (C++/C API, gRPC/HTTP) with versioning, telemetry, and backward compatibility.
• Stand up CI/CD for game builds and tools (UBT or proprietary build systems; artifact packaging; nightly/regression suites; distributed/accelerated builds).
• Automate QA for tooling and in-engine features using engine test frameworks and headless runs, and wire results into CI and dashboards.
• Implement production LLM integrations (prompting, RAG/tool calls, guardrails/safety, observability, timeouts/retries, and cost controls).
• Collaborate with studio engineering, tech art, design, and QA to land integrations across varied codebases and pipelines.
• Document patterns, provide sample projects, and deliver internal training so solutions scale across PlayStation Studios.
• Influence standards and tech choices for AI in our dev stack, and contribute to shared libraries and best practices.

Qualifications

• You have at least five years of experience building production software in modern C++ (C++17/20) with strong fundamentals in memory management, concurrency, performance, and debugging.
• You have shipped tools or runtime features in AAA engines, including work on plugins/modules, asset and build pipelines, and editor/runtime integration.
• You have delivered features or tooling that integrate with LLMs or other ML services, and you understand prompt design, evaluation, safety, and telemetry for production usage.
• You have implemented engine-level automated testing (functional and integration), including headless execution and CI gating.
• You work fluently with large code/asset repositories and are comfortable with both Perforce and Git.
• You communicate clearly across disciplines and translate diverse studio requirements into pragmatic, maintainable solutions.
• You write thorough documentation and favor well-tested, maintainable code.

Nice to Have

• You have built networking/service integrations for game backends (gRPC/HTTP) and implemented telemetry/observability (logs, metrics, traces).
• You have packaged SDKs/plugins for multiple studios and managed semantic versioning and migration tooling.
• You understand console platform requirements and certification workflows.

Associate ALM Support Analyst

The Associate ALM Support Analyst provides a key cornerstone of technical support for PlayStation Studios QA, PlayStation Studios, and its partners. They are responsible for service desk triage, monitoring and ticket resolution duties, as well as tier 1 and 2 ALM tasks, across all supported applications and services. 

Primarily these tools include f our Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools such as Jira, Confluence, and TestRail, custom in-house developed tools, as well as collaborative enterprise tools such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.  

Responsibilities 

Support the business by providing key services to PlayStation Studios, PSS QA, and other Sony entities via: 

Live and Breathe the Service Desk  

• Customer-facing support for first line support requests via our service desk 

• Daily handover of key workload to global peers 

• Curation and maintenance of relevant articles in our knowledge bases 

• Timely updates to customers on issue progress and blockers 

• Escalation of unresolvable issues to senior team members, external team or vendors  

World Class ALM Support
