The Opportunity

Smartsheet is looking for a Project Manager to join our global Corporate Responsibility team. Based in Bengaluru, you will be a key operational driver, supporting both our global initiatives and local India-specific programs. You will sit at the intersection of data management, global project coordination, and local community impact, ensuring our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Inclusion work is tracked, measured, and executed with excellence.

This role reports to the VP, Corporate Responsibility.

What You’ll Do

• Project Management: Manage multiple complex workstreams across the CSR and Inclusion functions, moving projects from ambiguity to execution while maintaining a high degree of organizational rigor.
• Global Operations & Tracking: Serve as the primary administrator for our global  Employee Resource Group (ERG) and volunteer program tracking tools. You will maintain consistent outreach to ERG leads and volunteer coordinators to ensure high-quality data input, program visibility and operational support across both initiatives.
• Smartsheet Solutions: Act as the team’s subject matter expert for Smartsheet, building and maintaining the sheets, reports, and dashboards that power our global metrics and impact reporting.
• India CSR & Inclusion: Support Bengaluru-specific volunteerism and inclusion efforts, helping to grow Smartsheet's footprint and employee experience in the region.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with global teams and local Bengaluru-based employees, balancing the tactical needs of the business with a deep understanding of the employee volunteer experience.

What You’ll Bring

• Systems Aptitude: High proficiency in Smartsheet (or a similar project management system) is core to this role. You should be comfortable building complex reports and dashboards.
• Project Management Excellence: Proven ability to track and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Domain Expertise: Previous experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Inclusion.
• Strategic Growth Mindset: An understanding of the global corporate landscape and the ability to grow with the role as it evolves.
• Operational Compassion: A "doer" mentality with the ability to navigate the complexity of a global business while showing compassion for the employee volunteers who drive our programs.
• Legal Awareness (Preferred): Exposure to or knowledge of Section 135 of the Companies Act 2013 (India’s CSR law) is a significant advantage, particularly experience working within this legal landscape or with NGOs in this capacity.
• Ambiguity & Data: A mix of tactical execution and analytical data management, with the comfort level to operate effectively when processes are still being defined.

Interactions with and presentations to Engineer teams, Engineering leaders, Product leaders, Executives and third party vendors will be common. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager who can bridge communication between technical teams and product focused groups and leaders.

This position will report to the Director, Technical Program and Operations. 

You will:

• Coordination, monitoring and reporting within the enterprise and external partners
• Project planning and support for our engineering teams
• Design processes that scale to support our rapidly growing business
• Develop schedules, adhere to milestones and keep other team members on task
• Recognize and prioritize issues, and collaborate for timely resolution
• Identify risk factors, develop and execute mitigation plans
• Drive regular status updates to ensure transparency and maximize efficiency
• Facilitate open communication among differing personalities and work styles
• Perform other duties as assigned 

You have:

• 4+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, Change Management, or experience leading large organization-wide programs
• Experience managing cross-departmental processes
• Experience with API platforms 
• Experience leading successful projects from start to finish
• A talent for empathizing with employee and customer challenges, with a focus on user experience
• Critical problem solving skills to navigate complex issues, manage partners, all while being a great team-player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in a high-growth company 
• Business related degree, or equivalent experience
• Legally eligible to work in Bulgaria on an ongoing basis 
• Fluency in English is required
