• Own and operate SimpliSafe’s security tooling stack—including anti-malware, SIEM, network monitoring, and vulnerability management platforms—ensuring they are tuned, maintained, and effective.

• Own and evolve SimpliSafe’s Okta environment and identity strategy, serving as the go-to expert on all things IAM.
• Partner with Security, Engineering, and HR to build scalable access governance and lifecycle automation.
• Define IAM standards and architecture that grow with the company and keep us secure and compliant.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Defining and driving SimpliSafe’s IAM strategy across the enterprise, including identity governance, access management, and zero trust principles.
• Serving as the internal subject matter expert on all things identity — Okta, SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, and directory services.
• Developing a roadmap for IAM maturity, identifying gaps, prioritizing investments, and aligning with security and compliance objectives.
• Owning the design, configuration, and optimization of our Okta environment, including SSO integrations, MFA policies, adaptive authentication, and lifecycle automation.
• Building and maintaining Okta Workflows to automate provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews across SaaS, cloud, and on-prem systems.
• Designing and enforcing RBAC and least-privilege principles across our application and infrastructure landscape.
• Leading access certification and review programs, working with IT, Security, and HR to ensure accurate and timely access decisions.
• Owning integrations between identity systems and HR platforms to support joiner/mover/leaver processes.

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years of experience in identity and access management, with deep hands-on expertise in Okta (Okta Certified Professional or Administrator certification strongly preferred).
• Proven experience architecting and managing enterprise IAM programs, not just operating tooling.
• Strong technical skills across SSO (SAML, OIDC/OAuth), MFA, directory services (Active Directory, LDAP), and SCIM-based provisioning.

What You’ll Do

As a Staff RF Systems Engineer, you will be a key technical leader responsible for RF product development and validation at SimpliSafe. You help design and build SimpliSafe’s RF capabilities in our goal to have the best-in-class wireless connectivity in the industry. You will work closely with the engineering teams to choose chipsets as well as optimize mechanical and electrical designs for RF performance. You will also lead and guide our ODMs design partners in the design, test, and qualification on new products. 

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain the performance metrics for all wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, BLE, Radar, and Sub-GHz), ensuring they align with product requirements.  
• Build SimpliSafe’s RF testing capabilities including test plans and equipment selection.
• Lead and audit ODM design partners through the test and qualification phases. Review their test reports with a critical eye to ensure no corner cases are missed.

• Lead the characterization of wireless chipsets and antenna systems to validate vendor claims and ensure suitability for SimpliSafe’s unique hardware constraints.
• Act as the RF consultant to Electrical and Mechanical teams, validating that board layouts and mechanical enclosures don't degrade RF integrity.
• Review PRDs, and author RF technical requirements to meet product requirements.
• Drive the development of automated test scripts to increase validation coverage and repeatability.
• Root causing RF field related issues.

Qualifications:

• Deep expertise in:
• Validating radio and front-end performance across 400MHz to 70GHz bands, with a specific focus on high-reliability consumer electronics.
• Proven ability to translate Product Requirements into technical RF specifications.
• Advanced skills in debugging desense, interference, and coexistence issues in multi-radio environments.

The Role

As Senior Product Manager for Monitoring Service Delivery, you'll own the product strategy for the tools and systems that enable SimpliSafe's monitoring specialists to protect our customers 24/7/365. That includes both our core professional monitoring — where monitoring specialists respond to break-ins, fires, and medical emergencies — and our Active Guard outdoor protection service, where advanced AI and specialists work together to help prevent crime before it happens.

You'll serve two primary customers in this role: the millions of SimpliSafe subscribers who depend on our monitoring services, and the operations team members who deliver those services every day. Success means building experiences that are fast and effective for specialists while ultimately keeping our customers safer.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior RF Test Engineer, you will be a key technical leader responsible for RF product development and validation at SimpliSafe. You help design and build SimpliSafe’s RF capabilities in our goal to have the best-in-class wireless connectivity in the industry. You will work closely with the engineering teams to choose chipsets as well as optimize mechanical and electrical designs for RF performance. You will also lead and guide our ODMs design partners in the design, test, and qualification on new products. 

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain the performance metrics for all wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, BLE, Radar, and Sub-GHz), ensuring they align with product requirements.  
• Build SimpliSafe’s RF testing capabilities including test plans and equipment selection.
• Lead and audit ODM design partners through the test and qualification phases. Review their test reports with a critical eye to ensure no corner cases are missed.
• Lead the characterization of wireless chipsets and antenna systems to validate vendor claims and ensure suitability for SimpliSafe’s unique hardware constraints.

• Act as the RF consultant to Electrical and Mechanical teams, validating that board layouts and mechanical enclosures don't degrade RF integrity.
• Review PRDs, and author RF technical requirements to meet product requirements.
• Drive the development of automated test scripts to increase validation coverage and repeatability.
• Root causing RF field related issues.

Qualifications:

• Deep expertise in:
• Validating radio and front-end performance across 400MHz to 70GHz bands, with a specific focus on high-reliability consumer electronics.
• Proven ability to translate Product Requirements into technical RF specifications.
• Advanced skills in debugging desense, interference, and coexistence issues in multi-radio environments.
• Encoding methods and modulation schemes such as OFDM, Frequency hopping, QAM, GFSK, UWB, convolution encoding, STBC.
• Expert-level operation of VNA, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Wideband Radio Communication Testers (i.e. IQxel, LitePoint, or Rohde & Schwarz).
• RF emission requirements and testing for FCC, ETSI, Radio and Emission qualifications.
• Debugging RF issues. Setting up, running and evaluating of TIS, TRP, BER, Return Loss, Desense, radiation patterns, etc
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in RF/Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in RF design, development, and validation, with a proven track record of bringing products to market.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with an ability to tackle complex, ambiguous problems.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

• RF simulation tools like CST or HFSS.
• Familiarity with common MAC Layer protocols. WiFi, BLE, Zigbee, Z-wave etc or be willing to learn and build expertise in this area.
• Familiarity with MAC level protocol analyzers.
• Familiarity with cellular communications.
• Python or MATLAB skills for data analysis and test equipment automation.

We are seeking a Software Engineer to lead TPS’s technical vision while leading a team of engineers. This role combines hands-on architectural ownership with people leadership, execution accountability, and technical mentorship.

This is a highly collaborative position partnering closely with Infrastructure, Backend, Firmware, and Monitoring teams to ensure our validation platforms evolve alongside product and system complexity. As Senior Manager, Product Security, you will be the driving force behind embedding security into every product and service we release. Reporting directly to the CISO, you will lead a team of passionate security engineers who partner with Software Engineering, Hardware, Cloud, and Product Management to ensure that the devices and services protecting our customers’ homes are also protected themselves.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who wants to own product security end-to-end—from threat modeling and secure design through launch and beyond. You’ll help set the direction for how SimpliSafe builds security into our DNA, not as an afterthought, but as a core feature of everything we create.

Security Leadership & Strategy

• Own and drive the product security roadmap, partnering with the CISO to define and evolve the program.

• Up to 7 years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 3 years focused on product or application security in a product-driven company.
• 3+ years of people management experience leading security engineering teams.
• Deep technical fluency in AWS and at least one or more of: IoT/embedded security, mobile security (iOS/Android), API security, and secure SDLC practices.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Director of UX Design, Research & Content Strategy to own experience strategy across our full product portfolio: app, web, hardware interfaces, and the end-to-end customer lifecycle. This is a key leadership role with a hands-on expectation: you will set organizational direction, build and develop the team, and engage directly on the work that matters most. You will sit on CPO’s leadership team for product planning and investment decisions, and you are expected to drive UX, research, and content as a unified business function. Key Responsibilities

Strategy, Execution & Organizational Leadership

• Own the multi-year UX vision across SimpliSafe's digital and physical products; define how design, research, and content strategy are structured, staffed, and measured as business outcomes (activation, retention, plan upgrade conversion), driving Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).
• Establish a scalable design system and experience language across App (iOS/Android), web, and hardware interfaces. 
• Own content strategy as a first-class discipline: ensure that the words, labels, flows, and in-product messaging across the SimpliSafe experience are purposeful and consistent.
• Set and enforce how UX integrates into the product development process from discovery through post-launch; ensure design and content intent survive the handoff to Engineering.

AI-Augmented Design & Research

• Lead adoption of AI tools across design and research workflows to raise quality, compress cycle times, and free the team for higher-judgment work. You must be a practicing user of these tools yourself.
• Set standards for where AI augmentation is appropriate (generative ideation, design iteration, qual synthesis at scale) and where human judgment is non-negotiable (strategic framing, cross-functional influence).
• Partner with Engineering and Product Management to ensure that where AI enters customer-facing products, the UX standards for transparency, trust, and error recovery are defined by this function.

Cross-Functional Influence

• Operate as a peer to VP/Director-level leaders across Product, Engineering, Industrial Design, Marketing, and CX. Lead UX in executive reviews and investment decisions; frame experience trade-offs in business terms.
• Partner with Industrial Design to maintain hardware/software continuity as a coherent end-to-end experience.

• 15+ years in UX Design, UX Research, Content Strategy, or a combination; at least 6 years leading multi-disciplinary experience organizations (design + research + content), including org design, hiring, and operating model ownership.
• Demonstrated track record of UX and content strategy at the executive level in a consumer-facing DTC company, with measurable contribution to business outcomes (conversion, activation, retention, revenue).
• Proven working depth across design, research, and content strategy disciplines; you must have sufficient depth to raise the quality bar, accelerate the team’s growth, and produce directly on the highest-stakes work.

What You’ll Do

You'll be our AI-native systems leader for Ecommerce platforms, owning the technical strategy, governance, and day-to-day operations of the platform portfolio that powers experimentation, personalization, and site operations.

• Track record owning or architecting a MarTech/analytics stack (event/data layer, CDP, tag management, experimentation/personalization platforms, session replay, or similar tools).

What You’ll Do

We're looking for a senior, analytically-driven leader to own our Pricing & Promotions function. This is a player-coach role: you'll be hands-on with the work, manage and develop one direct report, and operate with significant autonomy and direct visibility to senior leadership.

You'll own our pricing/promotions experimentation program end-to-end, lead promotional strategy and performance analysis, and build out our discount budgeting capability. You'll also create and optimize a cross-functional pricing strategy, bringing a more coherent and intentional approach to how we price and discount across ecommerce, retail, and emerging channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end pricing/promotions testing roadmap — prioritize the backlog, design tests, set stakeholder expectations, analyze test results and drive rollout decisions
• Set the promotional strategy, calendar and prioritization; partner with your direct report on execution
• Develop new promotional structures and ideas grounded in performance data and competitive intelligence

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Computer Vision Applied Research Engineer to join our growing Edge AI team. As a key contributor, you will lead development of on-device machine learning for outdoor monitoring in the home security space. You will build and optimize computer vision models that run in real time on resource-constrained embedded devices like outdoor cameras and doorbell cameras, balancing accuracy with latency, memory, power, and reliability in challenging conditions (night, weather, motion blur, occlusions).

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end development of edge ML models for outdoor monitoring (e.g., person/vehicle/package detection, classification, tracking, segmentation, event understanding).
• Architect, train, and deploy transformer-based vision models (e.g., compact ViTs, hierarchical transformers, DETR-style detectors) and hybrid CNN-transformer backbones optimized for embedded inference.
• Drive model efficiency through resource-aware design and training, including:
  • Architecture: Token/patch reduction, efficient attention variants, early-exit / conditional compute
  • Training: distillation from large transformer teachers to edge students
  • Compression: Quantization (PTQ/QAT), pruning, mixed precision, and operator-aware optimization
• Translate product requirements into model targets (accuracy, FPS, memory footprint, power/thermal) and ensure models meet budgets on doorbell/outdoor camera hardware.
• Partner with embedded/firmware and platform teams to integrate models into production pipelines; profile bottlenecks and improve end-to-end runtime performance.
• Define evaluation strategies tailored to outdoor edge deployments; perform failure analysis and improve long-tail robustness (nighttime, rain/snow, backlight, fast motion).
• Set technical direction and raise engineering standards: best practices for experimentation, reproducibility, model/version management, and deployment readiness; mentor other ML engineers.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years in applied ML/ML engineering, including shipping production CV models.
• Strong computer vision background with deep learning expertise across detection/classification/segmentation/tracking.
• Hands-on experience with vision transformers and/or DETR-style architectures, including practical knowledge of efficiency trade-offs for edge deployment.
• Demonstrated success deploying models in resource-constrained, real-time environments (embedded/mobile/IoT/edge).
• Deep experience in model optimization: QAT/PTQ, distillation, pruning, compression, mixed precision, and hardware/runtime-aware training.
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch and/or TensorFlow; ability to productionize models and collaborate with systems engineers (C++ experience strongly preferred).

As a Software Engineer II on SimpliSafe’s Video team, you’ll help build and operate the cloud-based systems that power live streaming and video recording for SimpliSafe cameras.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Director of Product to lead Revenue & Retention — the function responsible for expanding subscriber lifetime value through integrated product and customer marketing strategies that drive engagement, monetization, and churn reduction across the current 12-month horizon.

This leader owns the Revenue & Retention product roadmap and its full execution. Your mandate is the 12-month book of work: taking capabilities that are in market or newly delivered, and driving  growth, retention, and monetization outcomes through coordinated in-product experiences and marketing programs. Because the SimpliSafe mobile app is the primary daily touchpoint for our subscribers, a deep expertise in mobile product strategy, app-led growth, and mobile UX is highly critical to this role, alongside the ability to extend that strategy through cross-channel customer engagement.

When the Director of Experience Strategy defines and ships a new capability — a new service, a reinvented experience, a new intelligence feature — it is up to your team to operationalize, grow, and optimize against subscriber value targets.

You are not executing someone else's vision passively. You will partner with the Experience Strategy team and own how every capability in your zone performs. You have full roadmap authority over the improvements, experiments, and growth initiatives within it. Your success is measured by tangible movement in subscriber retention, ARPU, and projected CLV.

You will lead a unified team spanning product management and customer marketing, and partner closely with the Director of Experience Strategy (who builds new capabilities) and the Director of Activation & Adoption (who ensures customers are set up to succeed from day one).

1. 12-Month Roadmap Ownership & Execution

• Own the Revenue & Retention product roadmap across the current 12-month horizon — including prioritization, sequencing, and delivery.

5. Team Leadership

What You’ll Do

As a Growth Marketing Manager on our Ecommerce Growth Team, you’ll own and optimize critical parts of the digital customer journey, driving measurable improvements in acquisition, conversion, and overall site performance. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, product, analytics, and design—focused on turning insights into action and ideas into shipped experiences.

• Proven experience running A/B tests end-to-end, from hypothesis to readout
• Experience owning or contributing to ecommerce funnels, including landing pages, product discovery, and checkout experiences

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Machine Learning Scientist to join our growing Engineering team. Join Simplisafe's User Systems team as a hands-on Manager of Software Engineering to lead one of our high-performing backend development teams. The Role

We are looking for a Lead Product Manager – AI/ML to own the strategy and roadmap for SimpliSafe’s AI capabilities layer: the platform, models, and infrastructure that power both our monitoring intelligence stack and our customer-facing AI experiences.

You will own the AI capabilities that make both of those better: the models that detect real threats faster, the pipelines that keep them production-ready, and the platform decisions that determine what SimpliSafe can build at all. Domain PMs on monitoring and consumer will be your peers and primary customers. Your job is to make their roadmaps possible.

You will work directly with a world-class AI/ML engineering team on hard problems: real-time video analysis on edge hardware, trust-critical decision-making where errors have real consequences, and consumer AI experiences that drive value in a recurring revenue business. You will need to hold a sharp product point of view while translating between deeply technical ML constraints and business outcomes.

What You Will Own

1. AI Platform & Capabilities

• Define the multi-year strategy and roadmap for SimpliSafe’s AI/ML capabilities layer: the models, data pipelines, and platform infrastructure that domain teams build on.
• Translate complex product needs from monitoring, platforms, consumer domain, and platform/firmware PMs into crisp, actionable requirements for the AI/ML engineering team.
• Establish the quality bar for model performance in production: define what “good” looks like in terms of precision, recall, latency, and real-world safety outcomes, not just benchmark scores.
• Own platform decisions including model evaluation frameworks, data pipeline architecture, and the trade-offs between prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and third-party model adoption.
• Manage production model health: define processes for detecting and responding to model drift, data quality degradation, and performance regression.
• Build and maintain alignment across product, engineering, data science, design, and monitoring operations on priorities, trade-offs, and release criteria.
• Drive the strategy for AI safety, governance, and compliance: lead product-level privacy, consent, and bias mitigation decisions while partnering with Legal and Privacy teams to establish rigorous policies for biometrics and customer data protection.

2. Monitoring Intelligence Applications

• Partner with the Monitoring Product and Operations teams to define the AI capability requirements for Active Guard and 24/7 professional monitoring; specifically threat detection, triage, and escalation.
• Drive measurable reduction in false alarm rates and response latency. These directly affect customer trust, retention, and cost to serve.  Ultimately driving Customer Lifetime Value (CLV)
• Represent AI capability constraints and opportunities clearly to the monitoring team so that roadmap decisions are grounded in what the platform can actually deliver.
• Work with human-in-the-loop workflows to ensure monitoring agents and AI systems operate as an effective team.
• Collaborate closely with the Monitoring and Experiences team to identify 1-2 big, disruptive bets in AI in the home security market.

3. Customer-Facing AI Applications

• Partner with consumer domain PMs to define AI capability requirements for customer-facing features: security insights, anomaly summaries, proactive notifications, and guided self-service.
• Identify where customers are currently underserved or confused where machine learning could reduce friction, increase confidence, and prevent churn.
• Define the interaction model for AI-assisted experiences and ensure capabilities are accessible to a non-technical consumer audience without sacrificing depth.
• Work with design and research to close the loop between customer behavior data and AI product decisions.

What We Are Looking For

Required

• 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years shipping AI or ML-driven features at consumer scale.
• Proven ability to define and champion a multi-year technical product vision that materially reshaped a product or platform.
• Sufficient technical depth to work credibly with AI/ML engineers: you understand model evaluation, data pipelines, inference trade-offs, edge computing constraints, and what “production-ready” means.
• Experience defining quality and success criteria for systems where errors carry real consequences, not just engagement metrics.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate between deeply technical AI/ML concepts and customer-facing or business narratives.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity with incomplete data; you know how to run structured discovery rather than waiting for perfect information.
• Experience acting as a strategic peer in a matrixed organization, driving cross-functional alignment without direct reporting lines.

Strongly Preferred

• Experience owning or contributing to MLOps platforms: model deployment pipelines, evaluation frameworks, monitoring for drift and degradation.
• Experience shipping products in or adjacent to the home security, IoT, or professional monitoring space.
• Familiarity with real-time video analysis, computer vision, or edge hardware deployments.
• Background working with operations teams where product decisions have direct labor and cost implications.
• Experience building or integrating with large-scale data annotation or human-in-the-loop (HITL) systems.
• Experience building customer-facing AI experiences (conversational interfaces, intelligent notifications, or proactive recommendations) at consumer scale.

Preferred

• Familiarity with agentic AI systems: architectures where AI takes autonomous multi-step actions on behalf of users.

What Success Looks Like

In Your First 90 Days

• You have a working understanding of SimpliSafe’s monitoring operations, AI infrastructure, and current customer experience gaps.
• You have interviewed monitoring agents, operations center leadership, engineers, domain PMs, and customers; you can articulate the two or three highest-leverage AI capability bets available to us.
• You have a draft 12-month roadmap for the AI capabilities layer with clear hypotheses and measurable outcomes, socialized with key stakeholders across product, engineering, and operations.

By End of Year One

• At least one AI-driven monitoring capability is in production with measurable business impact (for example, a reduction in false alarm rate or response latency).
• You have shipped customer-facing AI capability and is showing positive signal on retention or self-service resolution.
• The AI capabilities roadmap is credible, resourced, and operating as the enabling layer for the broader product and engineering organization, not a bottleneck.

A missed threat puts someone’s family at risk. Trust, once lost, does not come back. That constraint (the requirement to be both fast and right) makes this a genuinely hard AI problem, and one that the industry has not solved.

We are hiring a Principal Product Manager, Camera Platform & Fleet Foundations on our Platform team to own the platform every camera and camera experience depends on. This role exists to define and harden the architectural, firmware, fleet management, and reliability foundations that enable rapid innovation while protecting system integrity, customer trust, and operational excellence.

About the Role

This is primarily a platform-focused role, not a feature role. Your accountability is the foundation that every camera experience depends on, not the features that get built on top of it.

You will own:

• Fleet-wide behavioral consistency across camera generations and hardware variants, including compatibility and lifecycle strategy.
• Clear platform standards and guardrails that engineering can build against.
• A measurable definition of platform health and operating rhythms to detect issues early and enable rapid recovery. 
• Defining and directing the strategy for the camera platform and fleet.

You will partner closely with firmware, backend, video/media, and ML/edge engineering leaders and serve as the subject matter expert owning the camera experience.

Note that this role does not require deep expertise in video pipelines, ML, or media processing. We’re looking for a product leader who is energized by building and scaling complex systems that great products depend on. 

You likely have:

• 8+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time on platform, infrastructure, device platform, or systems-level products.
• A track record of earning engineering trust through precision, consistency, and understanding how systems actually work.

The Job

In this role, you will work directly within the engineering leadership team to drive process improvement across engineering and visibility upward to the Executive Team and the Board of Directors.  Additionally, you will help keep engineering aligned with company objectives and meeting internal stakeholders’ needs and priorities.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience working with software engineering teams
• 5+ years of experience in technical leadership roles (e.g. technical program management, systems architecture, software engineering, etc.)

• 5+ years of technical project management experience and demonstrated knowledge of program management best practices

What You’ll Do

This position supports new product introduction and sustaining activities for connected smart home security products. The ideal candidate will bring practical hands-on experience working with third-party laboratories in the US and Asia to ensure timely Compliance certification. The individual will work with manufacturing partners, and cross-functional product teams to deliver compliant products on schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support product compliance activities across new product introduction and sustaining programs, from early requirements definition through certification, production readiness, and post-launch maintenance.
• Strong hands on knowledge and experience with UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and FCC standards and certification processes.
• Review and approve pre-certification and certification plans in partnership with internal teams, external laboratories, ODMs, and contract manufacturers.
• Coordinate issue resolution to help ensure timely completion of product certifications and report issuance.
• Review product markings, labels, warnings, instruction manuals, declarations, and other compliance-sensitive content for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain compliance records and technical documentation in PLM or related business systems in an organized and auditable manner.
• Assess the compliance impact of design changes, supplier changes, factory moves, firmware revisions, and product updates.
• Monitor evolving standards and regulations and communicate business impact, timing, and recommended actions to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience working with third-party laboratories and certification bodies.

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and hands-on Staff Backend Software Engineer to drive the technical direction and architecture of our core backend systems. This role is a critical force multiplier, focusing on complex cross-team initiatives, technical strategy, and mentoring senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the design, review, and implementation of complex, large-scale, and highly available backend services and microservices.
• Serve as an active individual contributor, writing high-quality, maintainable code and tackling the most challenging technical problems.
• Define and drive improvements in performance, scalability, monitoring, and operational excellence, ensuring our systems meet demanding SLOs/SLIs.
• Work closely with Engineering Directors/Sr. Managers and Product Managers to define the long-term technical roadmap, identifying strategic investments in core infrastructure and managing technical debt.

The target annual base pay range for this role is  $134,900 to $197,900.

Job Description

As a leader on the Customer Analytics team, reporting to the Head of Customer Analytics, this role will help shape the strategy of Activations & Adoption at SimpliSafe and tell that story to influence C-suite and board-level decisions. You will own analytics across device setup, hardware adoption, subscription activation, and ongoing customer engagement — including signals like app usage, arming behaviors, camera utilization, and RMR growth. This role leads a team responsible for building and maintaining the reporting, experimentation frameworks, and forecasts for some of the department's most critical metrics, and requires close cross-functional collaboration with Customer Lifetime Value, Acquisition, and Operational teams.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Own analytics across device setup, hardware adoption, subscription activation, and engagement — translating complex, multi-domain data into clear narratives that drive business decisions at the C-suite and board level.
• Develop and maintain an Activations & Adoption Analytics roadmap through close partnership with Customer Lifetime Value leadership to maximize the value being driven by the team.
• Define success criteria for key initiatives and lead measurement design end-to-end — including A/B and multivariate experiment design, statistical methodology selection, and clear interpretation of results for business stakeholders.
• Champion the adoption of AI-assisted analytics workflows — including LLM-based tools, automated insight generation, and AI-augmented analysis — to increase the team's analytical throughput and the depth of insights delivered to the business.
• Create reports and data-driven presentations with impact; identify trends in data and translate findings into compelling formats including text, charts, graphs, and dashboards.
• Lead strategic analytics efforts from definition through implementation, managing stakeholders and collaborating effectively across diverse cross-functional teams.
• Serve as an expert in business performance management, partnering with business owners to define, implement, and continuously improve core KPIs.
• Develop analysts through coaching, structured feedback, and meaningful stretch assignments — building a team that grows in both technical capability and business influence over time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Analytics
• BA/BS degree or comparable experience; MBA a plus
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing analytical teams
• Proven ability to design, execute, and interpret experiments (A/B, multivariate) with statistical rigor — and to coach others to do the same
• Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex quantitative findings into compelling, actionable narratives for non-technical audiences including senior leadership
• Demonstrated ability to partner with business leads and non-technical stakeholders using data to influence key decisions
• Working experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Hex AI, or similar) — not just as a user, but with a genuine point of view on how AI changes what's possible for an analytics team
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau a plus
• Must be both a doer and a thinker — we move fast and everyone rolls up their sleeves

About the Role

The Director of Indirect Procurement is a highly visible enterprise-wide leadership role responsible for managing approximately $240 million dollars in SimpliSafe’s spend. This high-impact position sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and strategy, with direct impact on the company’s bottom line and most important objectives.

This leadership role reports to the CFO and owns end-to-end indirect procurement strategy, from demand intake and sourcing through contract execution and ongoing supplier management, while also leading corporate real estate planning and lease negotiations. Success in this role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across the organization.

At SimpliSafe, Procurement operates as a strategic enabler, not a transactional function – an agile team focused on high-impact, high-visibility initiatives. The team delivers value through operational excellence, trusted business partnerships, expert category management, and a “make-it-happen” mindset.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of procurement experience and leadership, a high degree of financial acumen, intellectual curiosity, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to influence change within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute the enterprise indirect procurement strategy across a diverse set of categories, including SaaS, ML/AI, professional services, marketing/advertising,  corporate real estate and insurance, contact center and monitoring center operations, IT and G&A.
• Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategy with business needs.
• Lead sourcing, negotiations, and contract lifecycle management to drive measurable cost savings, long range planning, and risk reduction.
• Maintain and enforce procurement policies, approval workflows, and spend governance.
• Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and savings tracking.
• Build and manage preferred supplier programs and performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, tools, and data visibility.
• Own corporate real estate strategy, including lease negotiations, renewals, and exits.
• Manage ongoing real estate budgets, CapEx planning and lease obligations.
• Partner with People and leadership on workplace strategy, hybrid work considerations, and future space needs.
• Manage CapEx buildouts and special projects.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on spend strategy, vendor risk, and real estate decisions.

Qualifications

• 8 - 10 years of experience in indirect procurement and strategic sourcing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role leading a team of procurement professionals.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and operational improvements at scale.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing complex vendor portfolios and enterprise-level spend.
• Highly analytical with strong financial acumen.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience in SaaS, technology, or high-growth consumer companies.
• Familiarity with procurement tools, CLM systems, and spend analytics platforms (Coupa, Netsuite).
• Experience leading or building procurement functions.
• Bonus: solid understanding of corporate real estate fundamentals (leasing, renewals, facilities, brokers) and insurance.
• MBA or relevant master’s degree is a plus.

The Role

We are seeking a Director of Product to lead Experience Strategy — the function responsible for defining SimpliSafe's multi-year product vision and delivering major new capabilities into our combined product and customer marketing CLV organization.

This role operates on a 12-month-plus horizon. You envision what the SimpliSafe protection experience needs to become, build the roadmap to get there, and own the delivery of major new features and capabilities. Once a new capability ships — a new service, a reinvented experience, a new intelligence surface — the Director of Revenue & Retention will focus on growing and optimizing it against subscriber value targets.

You are not a strategist without a delivery mandate. You own both the vision and the build. Your output is working product features that the Activation & Adoption and Revenue & Retention teams can take to market, not decks and frameworks. Success means the organization has a clear multi-year direction, major capabilities ship on time, and the CLV outcomes those capabilities are designed to drive are realized by your peers.

You will partner closely with both the Director of Revenue & Retention (who owns in-market performance) and the Director of Activation & Adoption (who owns the early subscriber experience), ensuring all three zones build toward a coherent, differentiated protection experience.

What You'll Own

1. Multi-Year Vision & Major Capability Delivery

• Define the multi-year experience strategy for SimpliSafe's digital ecosystem.
• Own the delivery of major new features and capabilities — from concept through to handoff to the other zones.
• Establish the north-star experience model for protection visibility, intelligence, and differentiation.
• Translate company mission into intuitive, differentiated digital experiences that ship.
• Anticipate and define experience patterns for emerging hardware capabilities, ensuring new device innovations are translated into simple, scalable customer experiences.

2. App & Digital Surface Reinvention

• Lead major experience transformation initiatives across the SimpliSafe app and digital ecosystem.
• Reimagine how monitoring, alerts, and safety intelligence are surfaced to customers.

3. Cross-Zone Coherence & Handoff

• Ensure capabilities you build integrate cleanly into the Revenue & Retention and Activation & Adoption zones, with clear handoff points defined upfront.
• Define interaction standards and experience principles all three zones build within.
• Maintain a clear, shared roadmap so peer directors always know what is coming and when.

4. Strategic Experimentation & CLV Accountability

• Validate major experience shifts through structured experimentation before full rollout.
• Own projected 12-month CLV lift targets attributable to reinvention initiatives.
• Build the measurement framework to track experience improvements against subscriber value outcomes.

• Major new capabilities delivered on time and successfully handed off to CLV teams focused on Activation & Retention
• A clear, sequenced multi-year roadmap that peer directors actively build toward
• Measurable CLV lift tied to reinvention initiatives with a defined attribution model
• Increased engagement depth post-launch of new features
• Improved customer visibility into monitoring value
• A cohesive digital experience across all surfaces — no zone building in isolation

What We're Looking For

• 8-12 years of product experience in consumer apps or subscription platforms.
• Proven experience leading major product transformations or multi-year roadmap initiatives.
• Track record of owning both vision and delivery — shipping major capabilities, not just defining them.
• Ability to define clean handoff criteria so peer teams can take ownership of new capabilities confidently.
• Strong design fluency and ability to partner deeply with UX leaders.
• Ability to drive alignment across peer directors without direct management authority over their teams.
• Comfort with ambiguity and long-horizon planning in a fast-moving environment.

The target annual base pay range for this role is $201,000 - $268,000

This target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages, including base pay, taking into consideration employees’ job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors.
