We are now building a new generation of technology for retail: a computer vision–driven system that helps retailers to increase their profit margins through better operational insight and automation. As a Senior Computer Vision Engineer, you will play a leading role in taking this product from 0 to 1, owning key technical decisions and delivering production-grade vision capabilities end to end.

You will own the technical direction for action recognition in real‑world retail environments: from defining how we collect and annotate video data, to prototyping and evaluating models, to iterating on precision, recall and end-to-end alert latency under production‑like conditions. You'll work closely with product, data, and engineering stakeholders to validate the riskiest assumptions quickly and cost‑effectively.

About the role

As a Senior Computer Vision Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the technical discovery and early development of Scandit's new solution – from validating the riskiest assumptions to building and iterating on the first end-to-end prototypes. You will work closely with product, other engineering teams, and external stakeholders to turn real-world video data into robust, privacy-aware computer vision models that can operate in live retail environments.

This role connects cutting-edge CV/ML research with real-world product constraints – requiring both deep technical expertise and a pragmatic, experimental approach to building production-ready systems under ambiguity and time pressure.

What you will do

• Defining and prioritizing technical experiments to validate key risks (e.g. precision, recall, latency) for computer vision models in retail stores
• Designing and implementing end-to-end CV/ML pipelines on real-world video data, from data ingestion and preprocessing through model training, evaluation, and deployment
• Setting up and refining the human annotation workflow to create high-quality training and test datasets from video streams
• Collaborating with product managers and engineering leaders to clarify requirements, align on milestones, and translate business needs into technical roadmaps
• Selecting, adapting, and optimizing state-of-the-art computer vision architectures for suspicious behavior and action detection in unconstrained environments
• Providing technical leadership in the space of video-based computer vision applications, helping shape best practices and future hiring for the team

Who you are

We are looking for a senior computer vision / machine learning engineer who has successfully built and shipped real-world products, ideally involving action recognition on video. You combine deep hands-on technical expertise with a pragmatic, experimental mindset and are comfortable working in a high-ambiguity, 0→1 product environment. You should enjoy collaborating closely with product and engineering stakeholders, shaping the technical direction, and iterating quickly on ideas to validate the riskiest assumptions.

• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field (advanced degree is a plus but not mandatory)
• Significant hands-on experience in computer vision and machine learning, including designing, training, evaluating and deploying models in production
• Proven track record of building end-to-end CV/ML systems from 0→1 (ideally commercial products rather than purely academic projects)
• Strong expertise with video-based pipelines and human action or behavior recognition (e.g. retail, autonomous checkout or similar domains)
• Solid software engineering skills (e.g. Python and modern ML/CV frameworks) and experience working with real-world, noisy data
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high-uncertainty environment, prioritize experiments, and iterate quickly on technical approaches
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g. product, backend, data, operations) and communicate complex technical topics clearly in English (B2 level or higher)
• Eligible to work in the hiring location

Nice to have:

• Experience with privacy-aware or GDPR-compliant data pipelines, especially for video data
• Background in building or selecting annotation tools and workflows for computer vision training data
• Prior work on retail, autonomous stores using computer vision

Our Customer Success teams play a critical role in ensuring overall customer adoption, satisfaction and retention, driving demand for Scandit technology, acting as trusted advisors to Scandit customers and helping them get the full value out of their investment in our technology. As we further scale our Customer Success organisation, we are building a dedicated Digital Customer Success function. This is an exciting greenfield opportunity to shape how we engage with a broad portfolio of enterprise customers at scale. As a Digital Customer Success Manager, you will own a portfolio of approximately 100 enterprise accounts across the Americas and EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa), supporting customers who are established in their use of Scandit technology. Based in our Warsaw office, you will work closely with our Account Managers (AMs), Field Marketing team, and the broader CS organisation to ensure these accounts remain healthy, retained, and set up for long-term success. You will work in a digital-first, scalable model - leveraging our Customer Management Platform (CMP) Planhat for data-driven health scoring, automated workflows, and structured virtual engagements to manage your portfolio effectively and efficiently.

• Portfolio Management: Proactively work on a portfolio of ~100 named enterprise accounts across the Americas and EMEA, monitoring health, adoption trends, and renewal risk through Planhat.
• Digital Engagement: Execute structured, scalable customer touchpoints, including virtual check-ins and adoption reviews where necessary without reliance on on-site visits, optimising your time across a large book of business. This also includes coordinating cross-functional work to solve customer issues.
• Customer Health & Risk Monitoring: Leverage Planhat health scores, usage data, and engagement signals to identify at-risk accounts early, and take proactive steps to mitigate churn.
• Adoption & Retention: Drive SDK adoption and product utilisation across your portfolio through data-driven outreach, best practice sharing, standardised usage reporting, and targeted digital campaigns in partnership with Field Marketing
• Renewal Support: Collaborate with AMs to flag renewal risks and opportunities well in advance, feeding into the renewal strategy process and ensuring accounts are set up for successful renewals
• Growth Signal Identification: Identify passive growth and upsell signals within your account base through usage tracking and business reviews, surfacing opportunities for the AM team to pursue
• Planhat Ownership: Maintain accurate, up-to-date account records, health scores, success plan milestones and activity logs in Planhat, ensuring data hygiene and a single source of truth across your portfolio
• Voice of the Customer: Act as the internal advocate for your accounts, channelling customer feedback and product needs to the Product and Marketing teams

We're seeking a Customer Success Engineer to join our US team and support a portfolio of key enterprise accounts across Scandit's product portfolio.

This is a more technical Customer Success role than most. We're looking for someone who can hold their own in conversations with engineering and product stakeholders on the customer side, build and configure demos, share code snippets to unblock integrations, and act as a credible advisor on implementation decisions. Who You Are

• 3+ years in a customer-facing post-sales or technical-presales role at a B2B SaaS company (Customer Success Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Technical Account Manager, Technical CSM or similar)
• Genuinely technical: you've read or written code, built integrations, or shipped software. You can hold your own with engineers
• Strong communicator. Comfortable presenting and writing for both business and technical audiences
• Strong strategic and analytical thinker
• Solid understanding of enterprise IT architectures (mobile ecosystem knowledge a plus)
• Highly organized with strong project management and execution instincts

About the Internship

We are offering a research-focused internship aimed at advancing machine learning methods for complex visual understanding tasks. The project centers on deep learning architectures for image-to-sequence modelling, such as Transformers, attention mechanisms, and modern sequence and representation-learning frameworks, to address challenging and highly structured computer vision problems. This project contributes to long-term research efforts aimed at achieving even higher performance, robustness, and generalization in large-scale visual applications.

What you will do

You will work closely with experienced ML researchers and engineers on cutting-edge research at the intersection of computer vision and sequence modeling. Your work will include:

• Designing and experimenting with new ML architectures for structured visual data.
• Evaluating alternative modeling paradigms (e.g., encoder–decoder, hybrid Transformer models, sequence-based representations).
• Investigating techniques for improving robustness, generalization, and multi-view reasoning.

About the Internship

We are looking for students with a passion for computer vision or machine learning to join one of the teams in Zürich for four to six months. You will be a part of product development and you will help us improve and extend algorithms and their automated testing infrastructure.

• Enhance our real-time visualization system to analyze and develop our computer vision algorithms
• Reduce manual steps in our image annotation tools with smart algorithms
• Develop image classification, matching and/or reconstruction features in order to improve the algorithms for understanding the current state of shelves and products in supermarkets

We’re seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant dedicated to ShelfView, Scandit’s AI-powered shelf intelligence platform.

ShelfView uses smart devices, fixed cameras, and autonomous robotics to capture and analyze real-world shelf conditions, giving retailers actionable insights to unlock incremental revenue and improve operational efficiency. Ensuring strong on-shelf availability (OSA) remains a major challenge for grocery retailers, with out-of-stocks costing U.S. retailers up to $82B in lost sales annually. With ShelfView, retailers gain store-level visibility to prevent low- and out-of-stock situations, improve reordering and forecasting, strengthen inventory accuracy, and ultimately maximize sales.

As a Solutions Consultant for ShelfView, you will develop deep expertise in the solution, its technology, market landscape, customer value, and how it drives measurable outcomes. Partnering closely with the Account Executive (AE), you will uncover customer needs, design practical solutions, and build compelling value propositions. You’ll bring these to life through presentations, RFx responses, proposals, and technical demonstrations, delivered remotely, via recorded video, or in person.

You’ll play a critical role in technical selling, planning, and executing programs with some of the world’s largest grocers and retailers. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Strategic Accounts, you’ll help deliver value-driven outcomes and ensure a smooth handoff from initial onboarding to the Customer Success Manager.

• Engage with prospects to understand their business processes, pain points, and goals.
• Identify and present to prospects and customers how our ShelfView solution can improve current business processes and make store operations more efficient.
• Deliver compelling product & solution demos focused on customer-specific use cases.

We’re looking for a Senior Documentation Specialist to join a focused cross-functional task force for up to 6 months. Your mission is concrete: our developer documentation has a 20% search no-result rate, structural issues that make it hard for trial users to orient themselves, and content gaps that slow down our Solution Consultants and Developer Support engineers. You’ll audit, prioritise, and fix — turning Scandit’s docs into a self-service experience that helps developers succeed during their trial.

• Audit Scandit’s developer documentation — identifying search failures, structural gaps, and high-friction areas across the trial journey.
• Fix poor search performance so developers, Solution Consultants, and support engineers can find what they need without hitting dead ends.
• Redesign information architecture and navigation so users can orient themselves and progress — whether they’re a first-time trial user or an internal team member working with a customer.
• Identify content gaps and drop-off points across the trial journey, and drive the right fixes — working with Product and Engineering where subject matter expertise is needed.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering Managers to prioritise, review, and ship improvements.
• Keep the documentation experience consistent with Scandit’s look and feel.
• Produce lightweight documentation standards so the team can maintain quality after your engagement ends.

Who we look for

• 7+ years in technical writing, developer documentation, or developer experience roles.
• Proven experience writing and structuring documentation for developer audiences — SDKs, APIs, integration guides, or mobile/web frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Docusaurus and docs-as-code workflows (GitHub or GitLab).
• Hands-on experience with Algolia — index configuration, synonym management, ranking rules, and search analytics. You can read data and turn it into a prioritised fix list.
• Strong information architecture skills: You’ve audited and restructured documentation for discoverability before, and you can show the outcome.

About the role 

Our Platform Engineering (DevOps & SRE) team owns the cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline ecosystem that the entire engineering organisation relies on. About the role

We are offering a research-focused internship aimed at advancing machine learning methods for complex visual understanding tasks. About the Summer Job

We are looking for students with a passion for computer vision or machine learning to join one of our engineering teams in Tampere for three to six months. You will be a part of product development and you will help us improve and extend algorithms and their automated testing infrastructure.

Scandit is a great place to apply the theory from your studies and learn best practices used in the industry in an international team.

What You Will Do

We have many interesting projects to offer, both in computer vision and machine learning: 

• Research on image to sequence models for barcode scanning or state of the art image enhancement methods
• Improve barcode scanning algorithms for surfaces with deformations, glare or reflections
• Enhance real-time visual tracking and pose estimation of our products through the  integration of additional sensor measurements and cutting-edge machine learning algorithms
• Enhance our real-time visualization system to analyze and develop our computer vision algorithms
• Reduce manual steps in our image annotation tools with smart algorithms
• Improve extraction of semantic information from complex documents through visual reasoning

Our Tech Stack

• Computer vision algorithms: C++17, CMake
• Machine learning training and tooling: Python, Pytorch

Who You Are

• Highly motivated student, interested in a summer job of three months or longer
• Enrolled in or completed a bachelor’s or master’s program in computer science, information technology or a related field
• Solid knowledge of data structures and experience in object-oriented programming
• You have taken courses in computer vision, image processing and/or machine learning
• Ideally you already had some exposure to solving a computer vision problem in a semester project or thesis
• If you are interested in working on the on-device image recognition algorithms, solid C++ programming skills will be needed
• Python programming knowledge is a plus
