About the Role

Miro is looking for a visionary Staff Product Designer to lead the charge for our Prototypes product. This isn’t just about refining a feature; it’s about defining the future of how millions of people bring their ideas to life.

As a key leader within the Canvas Modes stream, you will lead the long-term design strategy for Prototyping at Miro. We are looking for an AI Native designer - someone who doesn’t just see AI as a feature but as a fundamental shift in the product development process and ultimately, a massive opportunity.

You will be tasked with shaping not just where Miro’s Prototype offering should be, but where it is going - ensuring we aren't just keeping pace with the market, but setting it.

What you’ll do

• Define and drive the North Star for Miro Prototyping. You’ll articulate a vision that disrupts the norms and looks where the market is going.
• Be a tireless innovator in the AI space. You will explore how generative AI can collapse the gap between a rough sketch and full functioning app.
• Approach the product with an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of ownership. You’ll navigate ambiguity, build lean experiments, and treat the Prototyping mode as your own startup within Miro.
• Leverage your deep understanding of the design tool landscape to create a best-in-class experience that rivals any competitor while maintaining Miro’s ease of use and considering our other suite of formats.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to solve complex technical challenges around AI quality, discoverability, and the seamless transition between the ‘infinite canvas’ and ‘Prototypes Focus Mode’.
• Set the bar for design excellence at Miro, mentoring other designers and contributing to the evolution of our design systems and internal tooling.

What you’ll need

• 10+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or AI-focused roles.
• At least 2-3 years operating at a Staff / Principal level, with proven ownership of complex initiatives.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create clear, user-focused products and strategies. Demonstrating both the impact on user experience and business goals.
• A deep understanding of AI and AI design tooling and the ability to show you’re leading the charge.
• Proven experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX design, and engineering, to deliver seamless content solutions.
• Deep understanding of UX practices, information architecture, and user-centred design methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate the value of design and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
• A proactive and flexible approach, comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment and managing multiple priorities.
• Experience working on design tools, editors, or creative software is a massive plus.

The Growth Design team is dedicated to designing experiences that help users understand Miro's value, make confident purchasing decisions, and upgrade at the right moments. We focus on pricing surfaces, packaging strategies, upgrade flows, paywalls, in-product prompts, and lifecycle touchpoints that convert free users into paying customers and guide existing customers to expand their usage. Operating across both self-serve (PLG) and enterprise segments, we design foundational systems that balance user experience with measurable business impact.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Designer for the Growth Monetisation team, you will design the experiences that directly influence how users perceive value, convert to paid plans, and expand their investment in Miro across both product-led growth and enterprise motion. You will run experiments and tackle complex, high-leverage challenges at the intersection of psychology, business strategy, and user experience, for individual buyers exploring Miro independently and enterprise teams navigating multi-stakeholder purchasing decisions.

What you’ll do

• Lead the end-to-end design of monetisation experiences, creating pricing pages, upgrade flows, checkout experiences, paywalls, and in-product conversion touch points that scale across self-serve users and enterprise accounts for our multi-product platform
• Design and run data-driven experiments focused on conversion, retention, and expansion metrics across different customer segments, driving a fast-paced experimentation culture by rapidly prototyping, A/B testing, and iterating on designs with cross-functional partners based on hypotheses, success criteria, and quantitative and qualitative findings
• Shape product strategy by partnering closely with cross-functional leadership (PM, Engineering, Data Analysts, Product Marketing)
• Translate behavioural data, pricing analytics, and user feedback from both individual users and enterprise buyers into intuitive design solutions that reduce friction, clarify value propositions, and drive confident purchase decisions
• Conduct user research, interviews, and usability tests, synthesising insights to uncover friction in pricing, upgrade, and billing experiences and translating findings into clear design iterations and new experiment ideas
• Balance the needs of different buying journeys, ensuring self-serve experiences prioritise speed and clarity while enterprise touch points accommodate complex approval workflows, and admin/billing requirements
• Collaborate with Content Design to craft compelling value propositions, feature descriptions, pricing copy, and conversion messaging
• Establish and advocate for scalable, best-in-class monetisation design standards, ensuring consistency and accessibility while partnering with design and core product teams to seamlessly blend monetisation requirements into the core user experience and roadmap
• Communicate design vision and rationale at all levels, effectively influencing stakeholders across the organisation
• Integrate AI and emerging technologies into the design process to accelerate validation, discovery, and prototyping of monetisation experiments
• Mentor and support other designers, sharing knowledge on conversion design principles, experimentation methodologies, and monetisation best practices

What you’ll need

• 5+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or growth-focused roles, with a portfolio showcasing your design thinking and measurable impact on conversion and revenue metrics
• Demonstrated experience designing monetisation surfaces with proven impact on conversion rates for both self-serve and enterprise buyers
• Experience designing and running data-driven experiments, interpreting analytics, and iterating based on quantitative and qualitative insights from different customer segments
• Strong understanding of monetisation and pricing concepts for SaaS products, including pricing psychology, value-based pricing, plan packaging, hybrid pricing models, and expansion revenue strategies
• Ability to balance business goals with user needs, delivering high-quality, user-centric designs that build trust while driving measurable business outcomes
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional partners, including PMs, Engineers, Data Analysts, Finance, Product Marketing, and Sales teams working across both self-serve and enterprise motions
• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools; experience with analytics platforms is a plus
• Ability to articulate and unfold your design decisions with an iterative mentality and embrace feedback with a growth mindset
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate validation, prototyping, or design discovery (ie Replit, Claude Code)

What you’ll do

• Work with product, UX, and engineering teams to help shape the product vision and create user-focused content for high-priority AI features and initiatives – ensuring clarity and consistency across the product
• Design and develop prompts, UI copy and error messages to help our users adopt Sidekicks and Flows and get high quality results when using them
• Plan, develop and deliver conversational content that guides users effectively, reduces cognitive load, and aligns with Miro’s voice and tone guidelines
• Contribute to the refinement and application of Miro’s content design guidelines, particularly focused on refining our AI principles and guidance which will ultimately need to live in our design system and MCPs
• Collaborate with design and UX research to conduct user research, test content hypotheses, and iterate solutions based on data and feedback
• Participate in design and product reviews, providing clear rationale for your content design decisions
• Advocate for the value of content design, helping to integrate the discipline into the broader product development process

• Writing and testing system prompts, then debugging the model 
• Defining evaluation criteria with engineering and reviewing AI outputs against quality benchmarks
• Shaping conversation flows and interaction patterns in design crits and tiger teams
• Running through edge cases to figure out where the AI breaks and how to recover gracefully
• Creating conversation starters and prompt suggestions that teach users what's actually possible

What you’ll need

• 6+ years of experience in content design or UX writing, with a strong background in creating content for digital products
• A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create clear, user-focused content and demonstrating the impact on user experience and business goals
• Proven experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX design, and engineering, to deliver seamless content solutions
• Deep understanding of UX writing principles, information architecture, and user-centered design methodologies
• Familiarity with AI products, conversation design, or prompt engineering (you don't need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable getting hands-on with how AI systems behave)
• Ability to align product content strategy with business objectives, balancing user needs with technical feasibility
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate the value of content design and collaborate effectively across diverse teams
• A proactive and flexible approach, comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment and managing multiple priorities
