ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Partner Marketing & Events Specialist supports the planning and execution of partner-led marketing initiatives and events across priority verticals in Australia. Reporting to the Senior Partner Marketing Manager, this role plays a key part in Podium’s verticalised Marketing team, helping drive pipeline growth, brand presence, and partner engagement through high-quality event experiences and go-to-market collaboration. Experience in Automotive or Home services (trades) industries is highly regarded!

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys fast-paced execution, managing multiple priorities, and continuously improving performance through insights and experimentation. The role works closely with Sales, Partnerships, Integrations and broader Marketing teams to deliver impactful in-person and virtual events that support business growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Events

• Support the end-to-end execution of the event calendar, including partner events, Podium-hosted events and trade shows
• Manage event logistics such as venues, suppliers, budgets, timelines, freight and on-site requirements
• Assist with identifying and testing new event formats for customers and prospects, both in-person and virtual
• Track event performance and contribute to post-event reporting, including attendance, lead quality and ROI
• Gather feedback and insights to continuously improve future events and experiences

Partnerships

• Execute partner marketing initiatives that highlight Podium’s value proposition and support go-to-market partnership goals
• Manage and deliver a virtual event calendar in collaboration with Partnerships, Integrations and Sales teams
• Coordinate the creation of marketing assets such as presentation decks, email campaigns, text campaigns and direct mail

Collaboration & Communication

• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product and Partnerships teams to align event activity with broader objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors and internal stakeholders
• Share insights, learnings and updates to support continuous improvement across partner and event programs

Brand Representation

• Ensure Podium is consistently and professionally represented across all events, marketing assets and partner touch points
• Support the delivery of high-quality experiences that reflect Podium’s brand and operating principles

Travel

• Occasional interstate travel may be required to support on-site event delivery and represent Podium alongside Sales and Leadership teams

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of experience in marketing, events or partnerships, ideally within B2B or SaaS
• Hands-on experience supporting or executing events, webinars or partner-led initiatives
• A commercially minded, results-driven approach with an understanding of event performance and ROI
• Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience using CRM and marketing tools such as Salesforce and event management platforms
• Understanding of B2B marketing funnels and how events and partnerships contribute to pipeline
• Experience in the Automotive, Healthcare or Home Service industries is highly advantageous

About the Role

Podium is looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to own and scale its digital advertising program (including Meta, Google) for vertical SMB audiences.This person will help us deliver on performance targets for established campaigns on Meta and Google, as well as prove out new channels, taking ownership of budget, creative strategy, CRO, audience testing, bidding, and full-funnel performance. This is a high-visibility, building role perfect for a performance marketing expert who is motivated to take ownership of a nascent paid, social-led program and build it into a highly performant, cost-effective growth lever for Podium. Someone who thrives in this role moves at high velocity, operates with extreme ownership, and is adept at getting things done autonomously. This person brings analytical rigor and methodical thinking to strategy and execution. They are just as comfortable in the weeds hands-on-keyboard, going account by account with sales to troubleshoot lead quality issues or stalled deals, as they are building and communicating strategy and a roadmap.

What you'll be doing

• Own performance end-to-end. Drive pipeline and revenue against vertical SMB targets across Meta and Google (branded). You own the budget, the strategy, and the number.
• Build, don’t maintain. Stand up evergreen programs from a nascent starting point and prove out new verticals, audiences, and channels through structured pilots.
• Lead creative strategy and execution. Concept, brief, and actively create or edit ad creative (CapCut, AI tools, UGC, testimonials) to maintain high creative velocity. Run a structured testing framework across hooks, formats, messaging, and audiences.
• Optimize the full funnel. Continuously tune bidding, targeting, landing pages, and CRO. Diagnose conversion at every stage from lead to MQL to pipeline to revenue.
• Get in the weeds with sales. Work account by account to troubleshoot lead quality, unblock stalled deals, and creatively solution around where the program needs a push.
• Bring analytical rigor. Build your own dashboards and pivot tables. Distill complex performance data into clear, executive-ready narratives for leadership and finance stakeholders.
• Document and scale what works. Turn one-off wins into repeatable plays. Write things down. Share learnings broadly.

What you should have

• 4–7+ years of performance/growth marketing experience, with at least 3 years directly managing paid social campaigns hands-on-keyboard (Meta required; LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube a plus)
• B2B experience strongly preferred. You understand the nuances of pipeline, MQL→SQL conversion, sales-led close motions, and multi-touch attribution
• Track record of building paid social programs from the ground up, not just optimizing mature ones
• Expertise in the mechanics of media buying: targeting, creative launches, ad operations, testing structures, incrementality, and campaign diagnostics
• Highly proficient in analytics tools (Looker, Tableau, Excel/Sheets; SQL a plus). You build your own pivots and dashboards to find insights, not wait for them
• Strong creative instincts. You can brief creative, edit creative, and recognize what will perform before it runs
• Excellent communicator who can distill complex data into strategic insights for executive and finance stakeholders
• Bias toward action. You’d rather ship a v1 test today than perfect a brief for two weeks
• Comfortable getting in the weeds with sales: troubleshooting accounts, working leads, and helping close deals where the program needs a push
• Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting MarTech tracking (pixels, server-side tracking, GTM, conversion APIs) is a strong plus

Role Description

As the Senior Vertical Marketing Manager, you will serve as a pseudo “CMO” for your vertical and become the go-to expert on understanding customer needs, pain points, and the industry landscape. You will play an integral role in Podium’s acquisition efforts, and be responsible for crafting marketing strategies and rolling up your sleeves to execute that strategy to cost effectively drive new customers from your vertical. 

The ideal candidate is an action-oriented, strategic marketer. You love to solve ambiguous problems using data-informed decision making and drive results. You possess exceptional critical thinking skills, a customer-centric mindset, and an excellent track record of building strategies that drive growth.

What you will be doing:

• Own the Strategy & Hit Revenue Goals: You will build and own a comprehensive and cost effective marketing strategy for your assigned vertical to hit or exceed Podium’s bookings targets. You’ll build out a roadmap and be accountable for executing strategy across channels like go-to market Partnerships, Influencer, marketing in external trade publications, facebook groups, forums, threads. You’ll attract prospects by building and disseminating content and webinars in highly relevant topics.  You will continuously analyze performance and iterate on your approach to maximize new customer growth with your space.  
• Drive our Partner Network: Partner marketing is a core vertical channel for Podium and you will be responsible for developing the strategy and executing highly effective marketing campaigns to high leverage partners in service of converting these prospects into paying customers.  You'll also tap into this partner network to build a pipeline of influencers to serve as evangelists for Podium.
• Understand the Customer: The customer will be at the core of your work. You will identify their pain points and needs, understand their business operations, figure out best channels by which to reach them and how to speak to them in terms that will resonate and establish Podium as a credible source in their industry.  Your strategic insights will shape our go-to-market approach & you will be responsible for disseminating insights across the marketing and broader org. 
• Cross-functional Collaboration: As the Vertical Manager, you will collaborate with Sales, Product, Support, and other leaders to align vertical efforts across the organization. Your ability to build strong relationships and drive alignment will be crucial to build campaigns that resonate with our customers and prospects.
• Content Leadership: Generating vertical-specific collateral, trade show playbooks, UGC style videos (with the help of the creative team) and other marketing campaign documents for partners, influencers, and trade shows will be a part of your creative responsibilities. Your vertical expertise will ensure our messaging is finely tuned to resonate with the target audience.

What you should have:

• 8-12 years of experience in demand generation, lead generation or similar marketing experience, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment
• Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, content strategy and campaign execution
• Exceptional bias to action and a passion to build and execute on marketing strategies that drive significant bookings impact with minimal hand-holding. 
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity Tableau and SQL to drive insights using data and analytics 
• Customer-centric mindset; your ability to empathize with customers and put their needs first will be a key differentiator.
• Collaborative mindset; your ability to work with different teams and adapt to various situations will be essential in driving successful marketing campaigns
• Interest in owning several marketing channels and creating conversion-oriented content
