Why This Role Matters
We're looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter who loves building teams as much as building relationships. You'll be a strategic partner to hiring managers, a trusted guide for candidates, and an important part of how we grow. This role sits close to the work — you'll collaborate with engineering leaders and cross-functional teams to hire across our expanding technical disciplines, and you'll do it as part of a team that genuinely values curiosity, bold thinking, and collaboration.
This is an on-site role based in the Bay Area.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end recruiting across mechanical and electrical engineering, experimental physics, manufacturing, and other technical teams.
- Partner closely with leaders and engineers to understand what exceptional looks like for each role, well beyond the job description.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with talent across fusion, aerospace, defense, and adjacent deep tech fields.
- Advise hiring managers on interview structure, candidate evaluation, leveling, and compensation.
- Balance a portfolio of complex, specialized requisitions with equal care for quality and candidate experience.
- Keep pipelines healthy, data clean, and reporting actionable in our ATS.
- Help raise the bar on interview quality and consistency, supporting the team in making thoughtful, well-informed hiring decisions.
- Contribute to and improve recruiting processes as we scale.
- Serve as a trusted advocate for both candidates and hiring teams throughout the process.

- 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience.

We are hiring our first in-house Producer & Editor to define how Pacific Fusion shows up visually.
This is a foundational role. You will be our first visual storyteller, helping people see that what we’re building is real (and incredibly exciting).
You’ll have front-row access to fusion hardware, pulsed-power modules, manufacturing build-outs in New Mexico, and the engineers turning ignition science into infrastructure.

What You'll Do
- Tell the engineering story visually: Capture and edit high-quality video footage and still photos of pulser-driven inertial fusion systems (ie, pulsed-power modules, capacitor banks, target systems, and facility builds)
- Translate complexity into clarity: Turn nanoseconds, terawatts, and ignition science into accessible visual narratives
- Own end-to-end production: Concept, pre-production, shooting, editing, finishing, publishing
- Document milestones: Capture key technical demonstrations, module builds, facility groundbreakings, and commissioning moments
- Shape employer brand: Interview engineers, technicians, operators, and leadership to show what it’s like to build fusion
- Support executive storytelling: Film and produce executive thought leadership and social media (LinkedIn) content
- Support internal communications: Support internal awards and recognition with multimedia and manage company photography
- Create platform-native content: Short-form for social, mid-form explainers, longer documentary-style pieces for both broad and specialist audiences
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Be comfortable working with engineering and technical teams in addition to comms, operations and external affairs to align on narrative
What A Typical Week Might Look Like
- Film a pulsed-power module test in our Bay Area build center
- Fly to Albuquerque to document construction progress on the Demonstration System facility
- Edit a 90-second milestone video for investors
- Capture behind-the-scenes footage during a national lab collaboration
- Produce a recruiting spotlight on a systems engineer
- Continue building footage for a 15-min documentary
What You Bring
- You’re a self-starter, who manages your own time, works independently and is comfortable liaising directly with leadership/technical teams
- You see stories unfolding and instinctively start filming and/or photographing

Why This Role Matters
Pacific Fusion will continue to generate quantitative data at an exponentially increasing rate as we evolve from pulser hardware prototypes to mass pulser component production to continuous operations at the Demonstration System. Curation of this data for efficient analysis, consumption, and action is critical to rapid execution. As Senior Full Stack Developer, you will architect and develop data acquisition systems and web front ends for Pacific Fusion’s growing need for full stack applications for recipe management, data acquisition, and data processing. This includes architecting and developing databases and database schemas, developing apis to access data, and front end react applications to manage and present data for the pulser factory and, later, the Demonstration System.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement the front end and user experience for the pulser factory hardware testing systems, reducing the time it takes to build, commission, and deliver over one hundred shipping-container sized pulser modules
- Design and Create Figma or equivalent demos for UIs to get consensus for look and feel of the UI by stakeholders
- Define database schemas and deploy the database systems to store heterogenous data from controls systems, hardware testing equipment, and eventually experimental diagnostics on the Demonstration System
- Architect the data flow and user experience for Pacific Fusion’s Demonstration System, aggregating disparate data from dozens of diagnostics into actionable distillations for the scientific staff. Build and lead a team to deliver this mission critical system
- Relentlessly accelerate the software-driven data lifecycle on the demonstration system, reducing the time from experiment to analysis to decision
- Partner with top fusion scientists to hone data-driven decision making processes for achieving major objectives like facility gain in the fastest time possible
- Understand the technical decision making needs and drive decisions and implementation on how to analyze and visualize massive datasets
- Lead by example in excellence in execution, delivering well-designed software systems and driving company culture towards rigorous, expeditious, and risk-conscious execution
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience expertise in developing interactive web apps with React
- Strong experience with data streaming and messaging systems

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and integration of complex vacuum seal systems for our pulsed magnetic inertial fusion platform. This role focuses on designing robust seals for high-vacuum, air, and water interfaces exposed to extreme fusion conditions.
Responsibilities:

Design and analyze large, high-performance vacuum seals for water-to-air, air-to-high-vacuum, and water-to-high-vacuum transitions

Lead experimental design and testing of vacuum seals in collaboration with internal teams, external vendors, and academic partners

Conduct research into novel sealing techniques; define, execute, and evaluate test campaigns

Perform FMEA and tolerance stack-up analyses to ensure seal reliability and system safety

Why This Role Matters
We are seeking a customer-focused IT Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support at our San Leandro facility and assist at other Bay Area locations as needed. This role is responsible for delivering timely end-user support, managing user accounts and devices, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, and helping maintain secure and reliable IT operations.
In addition to providing direct support, this position serves as an escalation point for more complex technical issues and plays an important role in supporting engineering workstations, endpoint management, and overall IT service reliability. The ideal candidate is hands-on, resourceful, and able to work independently while maintaining a consistent, approachable, and positive attitude when supporting employees.
This position plays an important role in ensuring staff have reliable access to the technology and systems they need to perform their work effectively.
This is a fully onsite position based at our San Leandro facility, with some local and infrequent out-of-state travel as needed.

End-User Support
- Provide onsite and desk-side technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Respond to service desk tickets, troubleshoot issues, and resolve or escalate as appropriate
- Serve as an escalation point for more complex or unresolved technical issues
- Support Windows and macOS systems, including laptops, desktops, engineering workstations, mobile devices, and printers
- Deliver professional, responsive, and customer-focused support

As a Senior Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, repairing, and maintaining critical electrical components across a variety of systems. You will work with several teams to create controls equipment and be a key link between these teams in perpetuating a culture of good communication. Your activities will directly support the mission of achieving net facility gain, as such there is an expectation that this role will participate in the continued technical and professional growth that is required to achieve this goal.
This position is primarily based in San Leandro, CA. Traveling will be required to support installation and commissioning activities in Albuquerque, NM.
What You'll Do
- Build Electrical Control cabinets (wall mount, free standing, Rack server enclosures)
- Build complex cable harness fabrication
- Schematic interpretation and ability to recognize and understand diagnostics
- Implement best practices with signal routing and cable shielding techniques
- Integrate electrical components into large mechanical assemblies
- Work with large and complex systems including but not limited to vacuum systems
- Perform configuration as required of controls equipment
- Help document and maintain configurations of controls equipment
- Support Terminations, commissioning and troubleshooting activities
- Support start-up and commissioning of equipment
- Role is expected to have minimal guidance and supervision, and an expectation of independence to perform job duties
What You Bring
- 10+ years with deep hands-on assembly/testing background
- Experienced in wiring, soldering, cabinet building, and cable routing (including fine gauge like 36 AWG)
- Familiar with detailed schematics, clean labeling practices, component traceability
- Knowledge of UL 508A, NFPA 70, control systems, complex signal types (TCP/IP, EtherCAT, Serial, etc.)
- Hands on experience with industrial, manufacturing, or research facility commissioning and operations
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, build/test/iterate environment

Pacific Fusion is seeking an experienced & versatile Senior Project Engineer - Steel Structures to join our dynamic team and create the path to commercial fusion energy. You will lead the procurement, contract management, installation and commissioning of structural steel systems such as tanks, equipment platforms, and structural steel components for holding, lifting, moving and positioning critical equipment. This role requires a top-tier combination of engineering skills, technical expertise, fabrication and construction experience, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset to meet the exciting challenges in the field of fusion energy. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for turnkey delivery and installation in enabling our fusion technology.
What You'll Do
- Own execution of heavy fabrication and steel structures scopes across suppliers, internal stakeholders, and build sites
- Convert design intent into executable work by driving requests for quotation, scope alignment, technical bid review, purchase order readiness, and fabrication kickoff
- Build and maintain detailed execution plans covering engineering deliverables, procurement, fabrication, inspection, shipment, site readiness, installation, and closeout
- Coordinate closely with design, supply chain, quality, construction, finance, and leadership to keep critical path scopes moving
- Drive vendor engagement from pre-award through delivery, including schedule tracking, technical clarification, progress reviews, risk identification, and recovery planning

What You Bring

Pacific Fusion is seeking an exceptional Senior Mechanical Engineer – Fluid Systems to help create the path to commercial fusion energy. You will take ownership of fluid system development and deployment in support of our demonstration system, solving multidisciplinary engineering problems necessary for proving net-facility gain using pulsed magnetic inertial fusion. This role reports to the Senior Process Engineer in Pulser Engineering and sits at the intersection of fluid systems design, thermal management, and hands-on hardware integration. You will work onsite at our Fremont, CA office, with periodic collaboration at our San Leandro, CA Build Center.
What you'll do
- Take full ownership of fluid system designs — including thermal and structural subsystem considerations — continuously refining design specifications to meet evolving system requirements.
- Develop novel hardware solutions by leveraging historical engineering knowledge and first-principles thinking, and validate these solutions through rigorous testing.
- Design fluid system hardware and process engineering tools (ePLAN), conducting detailed analysis with specialized in-house and external tools
- Lead designs from concept through fabrication and test, building and testing assemblies in our Fremont Research High Bay and San Leandro Build Center.

What You'll Do
- Program, setup and operate CNC and manual machines, including but not limited to lathes and multi-axis mills, to produce precision parts and tools from metals, plastics,

- Work with engineering teams to document and recommend design for manufacturability improvements
- Facilitate the transition from development to production by collaborating closely with engineering
