About the Role:
OMD’s Decisions Science team play a vital role in ensuring that our clients realise the full potential of their marketing investment for maximum growth.
This role is for someone with a background in analytics or econometric modelling who is looking to grow their capabilities and develop their career. It will suit a candidate who is passionate about data and analytics, wants to apply skills learned in the early stages of their career to real world business questions, and has an ambition to learn and grow in a collaborative team who take a creative approach to analytic problem solving.
Econometrics remains the bedrock of marketing science but we are always extending the capabilities and outputs of what we deliver to our clients. This means we will work with you to develop your technical and professional skills as you work on live projects for some of the most interesting clients in the industry.
CLIENTS & COMMERCIALS:
This role will require you to continue to develop your skills across a contemporary approach to analytics using a wide range of modelling, data mining, statistical, and machine learning techniques for creative problem solving.
You will play a key role in supporting senior team members in telling stories with data within presentations and through supporting the delivery of data handling, econometric modelling, and analytical projects. Delivery will be technically robust and that all outputs from analysis fit for purpose, consistent and accurate.
Our analysis is only as good as the insights that we can deliver for our clients and so we are looking for curious and thoughtful analysts who want to learn about our client’s businesses and the business context that drive their questions. This will require that you develop relationships across the agency and the broader analytics community.
FUTURE GROWTH & PRODUCT:
Working with other specialist services, agency teams, and the wider analytics teams, you will feed into the development of new approaches and techniques.
TALENT & CULTURE:
We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and pro-active individual who has the ability and desire to learn quickly through practical on the job experience.
You will be a collaborative team player who is willing to ask for help when needed. It is important to be comfortable in an agency environment where you will have multiple stakeholders to satisfy, varying demandson your time, and plenty of distractions from the analytical work at hand.
You should be self-disciplined and able to deliver to a deadline with a solutions focussed, forward thinking, and well organised approach.
TECHNICAL CABABILITIES:
An enthusiastic presenter who is developing the ability to tell insightful stories with data.
You will have some experience in econometrics, you ensure outputs are technically robust, and understand how analysis can be used to answer client questions.
We don’t believe any one tool fits all but look for excellent use of a mix of R, SQL, Python, Excel, PowerPoint and other approaches.
