Research isn't an afterthought at Nothing—it's baked into how we build. Our Research team sits right at the heart of product development, working directly with Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing to turn assumptions into evidence. We validate everything: from core software features to hardware performance to how the entire product experience lands in users' hands. We're solving three hard problems right now: understanding how hardware and software work together in the real world, turning messy datasets into insights that actually change how we build, and scaling our validation engine so fast-moving teams can stay grounded in data without waiting weeks for answers.
You'll have direct influence on products used by millions. Research here isn't a support function—it shapes roadmaps, kills bad ideas early, and gives teams the clarity to move fast. You'll work with people who care deeply about evidence and quality, and you'll have the autonomy to own your work from start to finish. We move quickly because we're small and independent, which means your insights land faster and you'll see the impact of your work reflected in shipping products. About the Team
You'll be joining the Industrial Design team — a cross-functional group of Industrial Designers, Experience Designers, and Creative Technologists working from our design studio in Kings Cross. This isn’t a traditional software development role; you might have a background in front-end engineering, creative coding, physical computing, or something else entirely.
This isn't about building websites. It's about prototyping the future of how our hardware and software connect and behave as one - creating new interfaces and experiences that bridge the physical and digital.

We’re expanding our design team in London and are looking for Senior / Lead Industrial Designers of all genders, nationalities and backgrounds to help us invent groundbreaking products. Our audience is global, and tech needs new voices at the table, so we’re serious about building a talented team with a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives.
As an Industrial Designer at Nothing, you’ll be central to shaping the look and feel of our products and will work from our studio in King’s Cross, London.
This is a full-time, in-office role, we offer flexibility around personal needs, but being physically present is where our team thrives.
As a team, our design practice covers a wide range of disciplines - Industrial Design, Engineering, Experience & Interaction Design, CMF, Connectivity, Sound, Emerging Technologies and more. As a part of Nothing’s growth 3-year-strategy, with our accelerating retail store growth globally, we are hiring a Direct of Experience Retail, based in London, to drive further growth in physical experience touchpoints as long as point-of-sales.
Reporting to the VP of Growth, you will be mapping out an aggressive pipeline with country teams, overseeing overall P&L of the global stores, driving world class customer experience and value proposition, retail activation & relationship programs, optimizing our day-to-day business omni-channel as well as leading retail partnerships and marketing to in purpose to help us scale to the next level of growth.
Country expansion experience on physical retail programs and marketing/partnership development are an important part of this role.

Lead the global communications strategy for Phone and Audio launches, ensuring our story-led approach cuts through the noise.
Architect the personal positioning for our leadership team, leaning into a founder-led tone that feels real and opinionated.
Protect and manage the brand’s reputation globally, responding to change with a clear, calm, and firm point of view.
Coordinate with regional teams to ensure our London-born message translates authentically across different cultures and languages.
