About the Role: We are seeking a driven individual who is passionate about new business acquisition and enterprise sales. As a Corporate Account Executive, you will be responsible for executing a strategic sales plan within your assigned territory, focusing on revenue growth and new customer acquisition. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including solution engineering (pre-sales), marketing, and professional services, to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term success.
This is a West Coast based remote position with a preference for location in the San Francisco Bay area, greater Seattle area, or greater Portland area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan targeting key organizations and applicable use cases to build a robust pipeline and achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives.
- Become an expert in our product offerings and industry solutions, delivering compelling demos, presentations, and proposals that clearly articulate business value.
- Leverage deep knowledge of the market to position our solutions as the best fit for customer needs, highlighting the advantages over competing technologies and approaches.
- Lead complex sales cycles with a solution-based approach, employing strategic selling strategies and tactics, including the Land & Expand model to grow accounts.
- Manage the full sales process from prospecting to closing, consistently securing new logos and expanding within existing accounts.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Business Development Representatives (BDRs) and Field Marketing resources to align on target accounts and support pipeline development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within the CRM system, ensuring data integrity and adhering to forecasting guidelines.
- Develop strong partnerships with public cloud providers (AWS, Google, Microsoft Azure) and leverage these relationships to drive growth opportunities.
What You Bring to the Role:
- 3+ years of proven success in commercial software sales with a consistent track record of exceeding targets.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex sales processes within enterprise markets such as Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Science, AI/ML, or related fields.
- Proven ability to independently develop and close new client relationships while effectively managing long-term business engagements.
- Deep understanding of commercial open-source business models, including selling on-premise and cloud & SaaS hybrid solutions.
- Ability to craft and execute sales strategies tailored to specific industries, leveraging partner and Go-to-Market knowledge.
- Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills with a knack for building strong business champions.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPIN, or Challenger Sales, and experience working in a fast-paced, competitive market.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver on customer expectations, including Pre-Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Field Engineering resources.
- Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including CTOs, IT leaders, and technical end users, while collaborating with Solution Architects, Professional Services, and Channel Partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling complex technical solutions, with a focus on subscription-based models and cloud deployments.
- Knowledge of graph technology, data management tools, or other advanced data-driven technologies.

The annual on target earnings range for this position based in the United States is listed below. You will focus on revenue growth and new customer acquisition, working closely with cross-functional teams to solve high-stakes challenges in fraud detection, anti-money laundering (AML), and real-time risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan targeting large New York City banking institutions, focusing on mission-critical use cases to build a robust pipeline and achieve sales objectives.
- Become an expert in our product offerings and industry solutions, delivering compelling demos and proposals that articulate business value for complex financial ecosystems.
- Leverage deep knowledge of the NYC financial market to position our solutions as the best fit for customer needs, highlighting advantages over legacy relational databases and competing technologies.
- Lead complex sales cycles with a solution-based approach, employing strategic selling tactics, including the Land & Expand model, to grow high-value banking accounts.
- Manage the full sales process from prospecting to closing, consistently securing new logos and expanding within the world's largest financial organizations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to SDRs and Field Marketing to align on banking-specific target accounts and support pipeline development.

Job Summary/Objective:
As the Director, Commercial Sales at Neo4j, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, sales strategy, and revenue generation targeting Digital Native and Commercial Accounts across the United States. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of Account Executives, overseeing the development and execution of sales initiatives, client relationships, and strategic partnerships. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the graph database landscape, influence industries, and drive innovation.
This is a remote position, but this new hire must be based in the Greater San Francisco Bay, or Chicago areas.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead and manage a team of Account Executives, providing guidance, support, and mentorship
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive new business acquisition and expand existing customer relationships nationally.
- Drive team performance and productivity, ensuring sales targets and objectives are met and exceeded
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, executives, and stakeholders
- Navigate complex sales processes and contract negotiations for large deals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve overall business goals
- Drive revenue growth and contribute to the company's success in a high-growth environment
- Leverage your customer-facing skills to engage effectively with executives
- Utilize familiarity with cloud service providers, channel partnerships, and knowledge of Database as a Service (DBaaS) and the broader database market to explore growth opportunities
Priorities:
- Implement metrics, systems, and processes to scale a product sales organization (playbooks, systems, KPIs, comp plans, team operations, forecasting, etc.)
- Establish a foundation for a scalable enterprise selling motion
- Streamline the top of the funnel and scale the sales process through operational efficiency
- Drive net new and expansion growth by leveraging Neo4j's suite of new products to create profitable markets
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a Management role in Enterprise SaaS sales
- 3+ years of experience managing digital native accounts
- Experience in selling database products
- Proven track record of success in driving new business and expanding existing customer base
- Demonstrated success in building, hiring, and scaling large enterprise sales teams
- Experience operating in a high-growth business environment
- Excellent customer-facing skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
- Proficiency in navigating complex contract structures and handling large seven-figure deals
- Strong history of quota attainment and exceptional performance within a high-achieving team
