Shipping Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: Temp to perm position located on site in Pleasanton, CA

Responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
Prepares and assemble kits. All work is subject to additional requests as assigned by Department Manager.

Schedules Available:

(Day) Mon-Fri, 8am-430pm - Hourly pay starts at $20

(Swing) Tues-Sat, 530pm-2am - Hourly pay starts at $22

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ship outgoing shipments. If needed; preparing shipments; moving shipments; labeling shipments; building boxes for shipments; operating the pallet jack; printing paperwork.
Maintain inventory of kits and shipping supplies based on order points with purchasing/inventory team.
Data entry; using spreadsheet, Third party systems, ERP (preferably Microsoft GP).
Manage work orders and all supporting documentation
Pick and pack material ensuring order accuracy
Entering work order information into computer system and giving approval order was received
Working with ERP software to manage inventory
Ensure inventory in the shipping area is accurate by performing regular cycle counts
Meet deadline(s), goals, and performance metrics for on-time order processing
Troubleshoot any Natera- site delivery or pickup related Carrier issues.
Identify, count, stock materials, and maintain records of goods received.
Build kits for outgoing shipments according to current bill of materials.
Performs other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED
Computer proficiency
FedEx, UPS, and DHL International Shipping experience preferred.
1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Organized individual with great attention to detail and focus on quality
Self-motivated individual; a good team player
Takes accountability and ownership of his/her own work
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Compensation & Total Rewards

This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base pay we reasonably expect to offer at the time of hire. Final compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and skills considerations.

This position is also eligible for additional compensation and benefits through Natera’s robust Total Rewards program, including:

Compensation Range

$17.09—$21.37 USD

Shipping Specialist - Responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Prepares and assemble kits. All work is subject to additional requests as assigned by Department Manager.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm. Hourly pay starts at $20.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Receiving & Storage: Accurately receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and goods.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records and track materials to ensure adequate supplies for kits and components.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by inspecting equipment, hardware, and facilities.
- Housekeeping: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and designated kitting areas.
- 3PL Oversight: Assist in maintaining kit component inventory levels at third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Kitting & Quality Assurance
- Assembly: Assemble kits strictly according to provided instructions and technical specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect assembled products and components for quality; identify and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure workspace.
Logistics & Distribution
- Shipping: Prepare and ship finished products and kits as directed.
- Assist in monitoring to maintain set finished kit inventory levels at clinical sites.
- Reverse Logistics: Track the return of kits from clinical sites back to the main facility (Boulder).
