Position Summary:
Join WellPower’s Intensive Treatment team and gain hands on clinical experience providing trauma informed, culturally responsive mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families. This internship is embedded within Homebased and STAY SAFE services, which provide short term, stabilization focused interventions for youth experiencing acute mental health needs, including suicidal ideation or recent suicide attempts. Services are primarily delivered in homes, clinics, schools, and other community settings. We are seeking a Master’s level intern in Social Work or Counseling who is interested in intensive family work, crisis stabilization, and community based mental health.
The intern will have the opportunity to provide individual therapy, family therapy, crisis support, safety planning, psychoeducation, and case management services under close supervision.

Duties & Functions:
Following an initial period of orientation, training, and shadowing, the intern will participate in core clinical services provided by the Homebased and STAY SAFE programs. Duties may include:
Conducting biopsychosocial assessments and contributing to diagnostic formulation under supervision
Providing individual and family therapy in home, clinic, and community settings
Supporting youth and families experiencing suicidal ideation or recent suicide attempts
Participating in safety planning and crisis stabilization interventions
Delivering psychoeducation related to mental health, coping skills, and family systems
Engaging in case management and coordination with schools, medical providers, and community partners
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team
Completing clinical documentation in accordance with WellPower standards
Attending team meetings, case consultations, and internal trainings
The intern will receive a minimum of one hour per week of individual clinical supervision and may participate in group supervision, case consultation, and agency wide trainings. Training in evidence informed approaches, including specific suicide interventions, will be provided as appropriate to the intern role.
Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Master’s level students in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related clinical field.
Second year students preferred.
Interest in child, adolescent, and family mental health required.
Hours
Minimum of 10 hours per week, with 15 to 20 hours preferred, along with a 9-to-12-month commitment aligned with the academic calendar.

Position Summary:
Facility is a Level II Mental Health Transitional Living Home licensed through BHA. Facility serves adults of all genders with 16 beds where residents can stay for two weeks while stepping down from hospitalization, taking respite from homelessness, or for a safe environment during medication regimen changes.

Duties & Functions:
Intern will support with comprehensive assessments for mental health level of care justifications,
Engage in substance use early intervention using SBIRTs, and has the option to run a group.
Skills practiced will include risk assessment, crisis intervention, de-escalation, group facilitation, and engagement with multidisciplinary teams via coordination with treatment teams and referring facilities.

We are dedicated to supporting youth and families in achieving mental health and overall well-being. We are seeking a Master's-level intern (MSW or Counseling) passionate about community-based mental health. This internship offers hands-on clinical experience working with children, adults, and families across the lifespan in a highly diverse environment. The intern will provide: Individual Therapy, Family Therapy, Parent-focused Treatment, and Group Therapy with Trauma-Informed Interventions.

Following an initial period of training and shadowing opportunities, the student will ultimately participate in all core clinical services offered through our Freshlo Hub. Students will perform duties of a Freshlo therapist which will include initial assessment and diagnosis, individual therapy, family therapy, case management, and psychoeducation. The student will participate in a minimum of 1 hour of weekly individual supervision while also having the opportunity to participate in additional small group supervisions, case consultations, internal agency trainings, and team meetings.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Student Intern in ASL Interpretation to support our Language Services team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to apply classroom learning in a professional setting, gain exposure to mental health services, and develop interpreting skills in a trauma-informed and person-centered environment.
This role is designed for students currently enrolled in an ASL/English Interpreter Training Program who are seeking practicum or internship experience.
Team Specific Information: At WellPower, we believe everyone deserves care in the language they prefer to speak or sign. Our Language Services team includes full-time staff who are professionally trained and nationally certified in Spanish or ASL. We also subcontract with external providers to cover after-hours and other languages.

ASL/English Interpretation:Provide ASL/English interpretation while working with another intern and/or staff interpreters for a variety of encounters that include, but are not limited to, classes and workshops about health and wellness, art, employment and technology as well as events like BINGO and yoga.
Learning & Development: Shadow professional interpreters, receive mentorship, and participate in supervision and feedback sessions to strengthen interpreting skills.
Collaboration: Work alongside teams in the Impact & Engagement department to foster a welcoming and supportive environment.
Professional Standards: Learn and adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct for interpreters, maintaining confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.
Participate in team/department meetings, in-service training, and supervisory sessions as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an ASL/English Interpreter Training Program (associate or bachelor’s level).
Advanced proficiency in ASL with coursework in interpretation completed or in progress.
Prior experience in community service, non-profit or healthcare settings is a plus but not required.
