The Director, MarTech Strategy & Activation is a strategic lead within the Marketing organization, responsible for bridging technical capabilities and business applications. This role manages the daily operations of our AdTech and MarTech tools, ensuring they are configured to maximize the value of our first-party fan data for targeted, high-performance campaigns. You will act as the primary translator between marketing goals and technical execution, optimizing our automation ecosystem to improve fan engagement and drive measurable business growth.

Responsibilities 

Strategy & Innovation

• Lead the development of deep, multi-dimensional fan profiles that empower marketing teams with actionable audience insights and triggers needed to deliver effective campaigns
• Own the adoption and marketing application of first-party data and data clean rooms, enabling advanced targeting, measurement, and privacy-safe data collaboration
• Create new and innovative marketing use cases, pushing the organization toward advanced capabilities such as behavior-triggered journeys across all channels and products, predictive audiences, and event-based decisioning
• Serve as the primary voice of the business to Product, Engineering, and Data teams, gathering and translating complex marketing requirements into clear technical specifications
• Evaluate, recommend, and optimize the League’s MarTech tools; lead RFPs, pilots, and capability assessments to ensure the marketing technology stack meets marketer needs in addition to technical requirements

Operations & Execution

• Create and enforce governance for marketing communications across Email, SMS, Push, and paid channels, including frequency cap definitions, prioritization logic, channel hierarchy, and suppression rules to ensure fans receive the right message at the right time
• Standardize workflows across League and Club channels, ensuring all marketing stakeholders leverage shared automation capabilities to deliver consistent, high-quality fan experiences
• Partner with Analytics and the Fan Data Platform team to define attribution logic and measurement frameworks, ensuring digital marketing programs are tracked, evaluated, and optimized with a consistent methodology
• Develop specific project plans to prioritize and execute against business goals; provide regular status updates on progress and gaps while actively soliciting feedback to maintain alignment across the organization

Qualifications & Skills

• 4-year degree in marketing, business, data science, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience
• 7+ years of experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, or digital strategy
• Deep fluency in activation platforms (Email, SMS, Push, Paid Media, Journey Orchestration, etc.)
• Proven expertise utilizing Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and Data Clean Rooms to drive secure audience targeting and personalization
• Demonstrated experience acting as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical engineering teams, translating business goals into technical reality
• A track record of taking platforms from implementation to innovation, proactively creating use cases that drive measurable ROI or efficiency
• Solid understanding of marketing governance, data privacy (GDPR, CCPA), and the end-to-end digital marketing flow
• Familiarity with Agentic AI workflows, synthetic data, or contextual intelligence

Salary Range: $155,000-$190,000 (Base Salary) + Bonus

This Social Designer (Seasonal) will support marketing efforts through digital graphic design for MLB events, editorial, brand, sponsorship, ticket sales, advertising, paid content etc. The Designer must be a team player who can balance creativity and tight deadlines in our fast-paced environment.  

Responsibilities

• Produce and design daily graphics for all digital and social platforms and ensure the look and feel stays on brand
• Support Director and Designers on the creation of graphics and design templates for daily and featured concepts
• Work with editors & social coordinators to understand the project pipeline and objectives
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas
• Contribute to the creation of new concepts for designed graphics, templates, and jewel event imagery
• Stay current on design and social trends and share with other members in the team on best practices
• Work days/nights, weekends and holidays for live game coverages, on rotated basis

Qualifications & Skills

• BA in Graphic Design or related field
• 3-5 years of experience working as a Graphic Designer 
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Strong knowledge of Asana, Google apps and MS Office apps
• Manage time effectively, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• A keen eye and confidence when it comes to graphics design, typography and information design
• Capable of working within the guidelines of an existing graphics package to maintain consistency and quality
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of multiple social media platforms – specifically Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, TikTok
• Demonstrates proficiency in typography, layout ,hierarchy, branding, and photo manipulations
• Must be flexible, deadline driven, a great collaborator and must be able to deliver graphics with complete accuracy
• Knowledge of baseball is a plus as it pertains to sports graphics
• Capable of taking initiative, following department processes and procedures. Must adhere to existing workflow and file structure
• Ability to work night, weekends and overtime as needed

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

The Senior Coordinator, Player Engagement Logistics is a member of the Player Engagement team and is primarily responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to the Player Engagement team. This role will support the department head in standard administrative duties, as well as ensure a top-tier hospitality experience for Players & Talent.

Responsibilities

• Administrative duties to department head (calendar management, setting meetings with external parties such as players, agents, celebrities, talent managers, etc., additional standard administrative duties)
• Provide support for player/talent hospitality 
• Handle transportation, hotel bookings, and additional travel logistics for players and talent we are engaged with
• Serve as the direct point of contact for players and talent regarding logistics and hospitality matters
• Manage ticketing for players, talent, agents and relevant business partners
• Support Talent/Celebrity Programming 
• Support Player Engagement activations
• Support movements and activations related to the Commissioner Ambassador Program (C.A.P.)
• Ensure the A-to-Z experience that Players & Talent have with MLB is top-tier, leaving players and celebrities with a position impression of MLB’s professionalism and hospitality management
• Survey talent managers to confirm their experience with MLB was positive and collect and implement feedback for future activations

Qualifications & Skills

• 4-year degree from an accredited university in a related field
• Minimum 2 years professional experience
• Experience in providing top-tier administrative support is a plus
• Experience in managing hospitality needs for talent or top-level stakeholders is a plus
• Strong attention to detail 
• Flexible team player, with a track record of reliability and strong interpersonal skills

Pay Range: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
