We're looking for an engineering manager for our Warehouse Scale team. In this role, you'll lead the team that builds and operates the foundational data infrastructure powering LaunchDarkly's warehouse-native products — data export pipelines, warehouse health checks, and warehouse connection setup.
You'll bring a balance of people management and technical leadership as you drive the development of critical platform infrastructure and foster a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture. 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years managing a team of backend or infrastructure engineers
Experience building or operating data infrastructure at scale — pipelines, orchestration frameworks, or data platform systems
Proven ability to partner with Product Management to translate business goals into engineering plans with reliable estimations
Strong communication skills, especially in distributed team environments with cross-timezone collaboration
Track record of coaching and developing engineers, including performance management, career growth planning, and technical mentorship
Familiarity with observability practices (metrics, tracing, alerting, structured logging) and comfort with production incident response
Experience with Go or comparable backend languages (Java, Python, Rust) is a plus

The Warehouse Integrations team at Launchdarkly builds the infrastructure that lets LaunchDarkly customers connect their enterprise data warehouses to unlock advanced capabilities like warehouse-native experimentation and real-time metrics.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll be a key architect for scaling this platform and expanding our warehouse integrations footprint. You'll lead the design and implementation of core infrastructure - from integration connectors and data export pipelines to health checks and operational monitoring, while mentoring engineers and setting technical direction for the team.
This is a critical role in LaunchDarkly's strategy to meet customers where their data lives and enable data-driven feature experimentation at scale.
Architect and design scalable warehouse integration infrastructure that enables LaunchDarkly to support multiple enterprise data warehouse platforms and add new integrations systematically.
Build and own core backend services and APIs that power warehouse connectivity, including data export pipelines, health checks, authentication flows, and operational monitoring.
Drive technical excellence by establishing design patterns, frameworks, and best practices for warehouse integrations that the team uses as they scale.
