About the Role

Instead is growing fast — with teams across the US and India — and we need a people leader who can own the full scope of People Operations globally. Based out of our Hyderabad office, you’ll be the driving force behind how we attract, retain, and enable world-class talent across all Instead locations. You’ll build and lead the People Operations function end-to-end: from talent acquisition and culture-building to HR operations, policy design, and organizational development. What You’ll Do

Global People Strategy

• Own and lead the People Operations function across all Instead locations (US and India), ensuring a consistent and high-quality employee experience globally.
• Talent Strategy: Build and lead a talent acquisition team to attract top-tier professionals in tax, tech, and ops across geographies.
• Organizational Development: Design org structures and talent strategies that support scale from 50 to 500+ employees across multiple offices and countries.

Culture & Operations

• HR Operations & Compliance: Oversee daily HR operations globally — from onboarding to exit — ensuring legal and policy compliance in every jurisdiction we operate in.
• Policy Design: Create and implement global HR policies from scratch, navigating the nuances of a cross-border, early-stage environment.
• HR Tech & Systems: Manage tools and systems to ensure seamless HR service delivery and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–7 years of experience in HR management, preferably in fast-growing startups or tech-enabled businesses with a global or cross-border workforce.
• Proven success aligning HR strategies with business goals and scaling organizations from ~50 to 500 employees.
• Experience building policies and people ops processes from the ground up across multiple geographies.
• Strong understanding of labor law in India (especially in the context of offshoring and tech/ITES industries), with exposure to or willingness to learn US employment practices.
• Track record of executing DEI initiatives and building positive, inclusive workplace cultures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders and leadership across time zones.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS, compliance, recruitment, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Ability to work full-time from our Hyderabad office, Monday–Friday, 2 PM–11 PM IST.
• Flexibility to travel as needed — across cities in India and to the US for strategic alignment and team-building.

About the role

We're seeking an experienced IT Administrator to own and manage our complete IT infrastructure and support operations as we continue to scale our global team. You'll be responsible for ensuring seamless technology operations across our India and US offices, managing everything from user hardware deployment to security implementations and cloud administration. This role is critical to supporting our growing team's productivity and maintaining the robust technology foundation that powers our Instead platform and internal operations.

What you'll do

• Own our complete IT infrastructure and support operations including user hardware acquisition, imaging, deployment, and remote management

About the role

We're seeking a motivated Tax Staff member to support our team in helping clients identify tax savings opportunities through strategic tax planning and implementation. In this client-facing role, you'll work year-round with individuals and businesses to identify tax strategies, guide implementation, and ensure seamless execution from planning through filing. About this role

We’re looking for a motivated Tax Senior to join our Bangalore & Hyderabad offices and play a key role in delivering strategic tax advisory services. In this client-facing role, you’ll support individuals and businesses throughout the entire tax lifecycle—from kickoff calls, through tax planning and strategy implementation, to estimated payments and tax return filing.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented U.S Tax Analyst to drive tax form development and testing. You will play a vital role in creating and annotating tax forms, managing tax calculations, compliance, and contributing to the development of a cutting-edge tax software product. You will work with partners in government liaison, engineering, prompt engineering, and applied AI to achieve our annual goals to comply with U.S. government requirements. This role requires a deep understanding and familiarity with preparing and reviewing tax returns across all core U.S. tax entity types (1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, 1065).

What You'll Do

• Leverage your expertise in preparing U.S. federal and state tax returns, including:
• Form 1040 (Individual)
• Form 1120 (C Corporation)
• Form 1120S (S Corporation)
• Form 1065 (Partnership)
• Form 1041 (Trust and Estate)
• Drive the development of tax forms including annotating forms, and testing the accuracy of printed forms.
• Collaborate with the product team to design, develop, and test tax calculations for our cutting-edge U.S. tax software.
• Validate and test calculations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with U.S. tax laws.
• Provide actionable feedback to developers to enhance the software’s tax preparation functionality.
• Stay updated on U.S. tax law changes and assess their impact on the software.

What You'll Need

• A minimum of 3+ years of U.S. tax preparation experience is required.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing the following U.S. tax forms: 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regulations.
• Experience with tax software platforms such as Lacerte, UltraTax, Drake Tax, CCH, or similar.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• CPA/CA certification or equivalent

This creative role requires strong digital design expertise and brand skills, while collaborating across our marketing, product and sales teams to deliver comprehensive visual solutions that support our growing fintech and tax technology business.

What you'll do

• Work closely with the marketing department to translate campaign objectives into high‑impact creative.
• Create clear, innovative designs & animations for website pages, emails, social media graphics, event collateral, paid ads, blog visuals, motion graphics, and more.
• Use data‑driven decision‑making to generate ideas that lift engagement and conversions.
• Bring new brand-building ideas to the table and run with them—from concept through polished assets.
• Deliver production‑ready assets against tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Ensure visual consistency & quality—share WIP, give/receive critique, follow process.
• Stay on top of trends & tech (new design techniques, channels, tooling) and suggest ways to adopt them.

What you'll need

• 4-5+ years of UX/UI design experience in a high‑growth online or SaaS environment.
• Polished portfolio showing B2B/B2C work for SaaS, fintech, or comparable industries.
• Expert‑level Adobe CC—Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro
• Mid-level Figma skills
• Bonus skills in WordPress, ClickFunnels, Webflow or Pardot templating/design.
• Fluency with Mac OS, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom and modern marketing stacks.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and last‑minute requests with a positive attitude.
• Eagle‑eye for detail (misaligned pixels bother you).

Nice to have

• Motion graphics and video editing experience
• After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or other motion tools are a plus. 
• Email HTML + styling
