The job responsibilities for this position are as follows:

Cheese Room Operator:  This job includes setting, cutting, cooking, and transferring of cottage cheese vats according to plant SOPs for each step.  Candidates will be required to understand the following operational needs. They must have the ability to CIP all circuits in cheese operation and whey transferring. General knowledge of the blending deck operation and work in conjunction with Blending Deck Operators to ensure an efficient operation.  Maintain all documented information as per SQF requirements.  Keep all work areas neat and clean at all times, to conform to GMP and SQF requirements. Schedule: This position starts anytime between noon and 4pm. Weekends included.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks/trailers using a manual “two-wheeler” and also a variety of motorized equipment such as pushers, squeeze trucks, fork trucks and pallet jacks. Physical labor involved in this activity varies but can involve pushing/pulling of stacked milk cases up to 6 high (up to 220 lbs), pushing/pulling of milk cases on metal-framed, rolling delivery dollies (up to 700 lbs) in addition to using powered equipment.
• Accurately identifying, selecting/picking inventory for loading, and staging based on customer load sheets. This process may involve “picking” corrugated and un-corrugated products (up to 50 lbs) from warehouse storage shelves, pushing/pulling of cases of products up to 6 cases high (up to 220 lbs) and other packaged and un-packaged products.  Process also includes placing products on rolling, metal product delivery racks 5 ½ feet high and moving the rack throughout the warehouse.  Weights for each load will vary and load will progressively increase as the rack is filled.  Final loaded weight of the rack could be up to 1000 lbs.
• Pull empty and full milk cases stacked up to 6 high (up to 220 lbs) with repetition while performing functions associated with “pulling stock” in the dolly area or storage chest. 
• Manually remove products from the floor conveyor system, then package and/or stage in an efficient manner to maintain production flow requirements.
• Safely operate various types of powered industrial trucks (PITs) to load and unload pallets of product from a trailer and/or transport throughout the Warehouse.  Types of PITs used include forklifts, squeeze trucks, pallet jacks, and HI/LO forklift units.

• Make sure the correct number of cases are packed by the required pallet configuration.
• Ensure the cases are coded clearly and correctly and that the boxes and spot-pack pads are clean and stacked in an orderly fashion.
• Label pallets with stickers stating the date, time, and amount of product.
• Generate license plates using the WMS.LOGPRO system.
• Input competed production into the BPCS system in between product changeovers.
• Sweep the pallet room at a minimum of each day or as needed.

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the everyday operation and upkeep of the equipment and building, planning and implementing projects and safety issues within and around the plant.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm; overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages day-to-day activities of a team of direct reports.
• Supports operational departments by maintaining equipment and resolves mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity, job capabilities, and equipment capabilities at the department’s request. 
• Establishes and maintains a positive work environment including but not limited to personal development, training, and safety.  
• Analyzes maintenance work orders and assigns maintenance personnel to complete all necessary orders.  Follows up with the assigned personnel as needed until the order is complete. 
• Plan and execute projects in conjunction with what is assigned by the Maintenance Manager and/or Plant Manager.
• Controlling inventories, parts ordering, and vendor communication.  Focus on improving operations and improving costs.
• Assists in the scheduling of maintenance team to ensure projects are completed. 
• Supports SQF (Safe Quality Foods) by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.  
• Serves as backup to those employees in the leadership role within the Maintenance department and gives technical support and guidance to maintenance personnel as needed. 
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager and/or Plant Manager. 

Education and Experience:  

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance within a plant or manufacturing industry. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience required.
• Industry background in Food or Beverage preferred.
• Demonstrated experience within mechanical and electrical systems.

• Pull empty and full milk cases stacked 7 high (up to 250 lbs.) with repetition.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor will manage the everyday operation and upkeep of the equipment and building, planning and implementing projects and safety issues within and around the plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Manages day- to-day activities of a team of direct reports and communicates daily with Plant Manager.
• Supports operational departments by maintaining equipment and resolves mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity, job capabilities, and equipment capabilities at the department’s request.
• Establishes and maintains a positive work environment including but not limited to personal development, training, and safety.
• Creates and analyzes maintenance work orders and assigns maintenance personnel to complete all necessary orders. Follows up with the assigned personnel as needed until the order is complete. 
• Plan and execute projects in conjunction with what is assigned by the Plant Manager.
• Controlling inventories, parts ordering, and vendor communication. Focus on improving operations and improving costs.
• Assists in the scheduling of maintenance team to ensure projects are completed.
• Supports SQF (Safe Quality Foods) by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner, following site GMPs (good manufacturing practices).
• Assists in SQF audits by maintaining and implementing maintenance procedures and programs to meet SQF guidelines. Reviews and maintains all documentation and records.
• Serves as backup for all maintenance technicians when there are vacations or call outs.
• Hires, Trains, supervise and provide skill development and coaching for all maintenance employees.
• Develops, implements, and updates policies and procedures for maintenance services.
• Evaluates service agreements/contracts and submits recommendations to the Plant Manager.
• Design, maintain and or implement preventative maintenance systems.
• Oversee and train contractors completing projects at the facility.  
• Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Education and Experience:   

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance within a plant or manufacturing industry. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience required.
• Industry background in Food or Beverage preferred.
• Demonstrated experience within mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience within PLC’s and Ammonia Refrigeration preferred
• Experience working with outside vendors and contractors.

Physical Requirements: 

• Standing: Long periods (a minimum of 4 hours).
• Sitting: Occasionally for long periods.
• Walking: Frequently.
• Bending: Occasionally.
• Twisting of Spine: Occasionally.
• Lifting: Light (up to 50lbs) infrequently distance- 100 ft.
• Pushing/Pulling: under 75lbs without assistance infrequently.
