The Category Manager for Smoke Shop will be responsible for managing the P&L, assortment, pricing and marketing of the Smoke Shop department across Gopuff, BevMo and Liquor Barn. We are looking for an individual with working knowledge of the regulated industry that is an opportunistic and product-focused Merchant capable of partnering with cross-functional partners (ie. Supply Chain, Distributors, Suppliers, legal, and Digital Merchandising) to be a part of bringing to life a compelling assortment for our customers. A strong analytical background is imperative to be able to analyze data and pricing to influence strategy. It will be imperative that this person demonstrate the problem-solving and analytical skills necessary to thrive in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment.
Gopuff takes pride in creative problem solving and in-person collaborating to make quick and informed decisions. This role will have a hybrid work schedule, where you will be able to showcase your creativity and build strong relationships with teams in a cross functional manner three days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our Philly or Miami office!Establish a deep understanding of the Gopuff app and retail store businesses, internal processes, and overall control label assortment
Responsible for selecting, pricing and positioning of smoke shop products
Work with Category Managers in developing category plan and strategies to improve product sales
Work with Suppliers and Distributor partners to maintain adequate inventory levels on all items across the network
Monitor performance across multiple classes and locations and use / analyze data to establish go-forward strategies
Utilize both internal and external data effectively to make smart and educated decisions to drive incremental sales
Build and maintain assortment strategies contingent with unique territory requirements in mind as it pertains to volume, size, distribution, and local trends
Conduct comp shop and pricing analysis both nationally and locally to ensure key product lines are represented effectively in all markets and margin targets are met
Stay updated on category trends and competitive market
Bachelor’s degree required (Merchandising, Business, or Economics is a plus)
5+ Years of experience in Merchandising
Must have a significant knowledge of Merchandising, Financial Planning and overall Supply Chain
Capable of taking initiative, ownership and accountability for the business
Ability to react quickly with a strong sense of urgency
Affinity for using research, syndicated data, and consumer specific insights to inform creative and productive decision-making as it pertains to assortment and category management
Must possess a demonstrable ability to navigate a wide spectrum of product lines specific to our customer
Must have strong computer skills – proficiency with excel is required
Must be extremely detail oriented and organized
Must have effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Awareness of our current brand and product mix and initial insight to opportunities

Gopuff pays employees based on market pricing and pay may vary depending on your location. The salary range below reflects what we’d reasonably expect to pay candidates. A candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, interview performance, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus and participation in Gopuff’s equity incentive plan.
Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
Design end-to-end product experiences across Web & Native
Own projects from early discovery through final delivery
Partner closely with Product & Engineering to define problems and ship solutions

6–10+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products
Strong portfolio showing end-to-end product design work

We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our Delivery Operations team with a focus on three high-impact domains: delivery quality, dispatch optimization, and fee strategy.
Dispatch is the engine behind our delivery speed and cost efficiency — it determines how orders are batched, routed, and fulfilled, and it directly drives one of our most important financial metrics: Delivery Cost Per Order (DCPO). Delivery quality is about reducing the defects — cancellations, did-not-receives, and other failure modes — that cost us money and erode the customer experience. Fee strategy is about maximizing incremental revenue from our growing fee framework while protecting the customer experience and long-term order volume.
This is not a passive analytics role. You'll own these domains end-to-end: building the reporting infrastructure, running experiments, identifying inefficiencies, and partnering cross-functionally to implement solutions. You'll have real ownership over work that has a direct and measurable impact on Gopuff's bottom line.
This is a hybrid position, reporting to the Philadelphia, PA or Miami, FL office location Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during business hours.Own dispatch analytics: Monitor and analyze dispatch performance including delivery times, batching efficiency, order type prioritization, and cost metrics. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce DCPO.
Support 3PD integrations: Serve as the analytical and operational point of contact for third-party delivery partners (Uber Direct, DoorDash Drive, and others). Track costs, monitor reliability, and surface insights to drive better outcomes.
Drive delivery quality: Build defect tracking and reporting from the ground up. Identify root causes of cancellations, DNRs, and other failure modes. Partner with operations, CS, and product to drive systemic reduction in defect costs.
Support fee strategy: Analyze and help manage priority fees and distance-based delivery fee frameworks. Balance incremental revenue generation against customer retention and repurchase rates to optimize for overall financial impact.
AI-Driven analytics & reporting: Build dashboards and automated reporting that give the team clear visibility into KPIs and operational health. Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude) and modern analytical workflows to dramatically accelerate the pace of insight generation — from data querying and anomaly detection to synthesizing findings and drafting recommendations.
Experiment and iterate: Design and run A/B tests and other experiments on dispatch settings, partner incentives, and operational levers. Translate results into actionable recommendations.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Service to turn analytical insights into real operational improvements.
Required
2–4 years of work experience in an analytical, operations, or strategy role
Strong SQL skills — you're comfortable writing queries from scratch to answer ambiguous business questions
Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills for data manipulation and analysis
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of an analytical domain and drive it forward independently
Proficiency using AI tools (e.g., Claude) as a core part of your analytical workflow — for accelerating data analysis, synthesizing findings, building reports, and drafting recommendations
Strong presentation skills — able to synthesize complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and generate buy-in from a sophisticated audience
Cross-functional leadership — comfortable project managing across teams, bringing stakeholders together, and driving initiatives to completion
Strong communication skills — you can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
Intellectually curious, with a bias toward action and a willingness to get into the weeds
Highly organized; able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing track of details
Preferred
Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar)
Familiarity with A/B testing and experiment design
Experience in logistics, marketplace, delivery, or gig economy operations
Experience with more advanced AI tooling — such as Claude Code, building automated analytical workflows, or using AI to reduce manual reporting overhead
Basic coding experience (Python or similar) is a plus but not required

The Supply Chain – Planning & Allocation Senior Analyst will own planning and inventory execution for a portion of Gopuff’s growing assortment portfolio. This role is responsible for translating merchandising and financial targets into executable supply plans, ensuring the right inventory is purchased across the network to support growth, margin, and in-stock goals. This senior analyst will own planning efforts with Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, Quality, and Operations, as well as with suppliers and distributors to manage forecasts, inventory health, and vendor performance end-to-end. Success in this role requires strong analytical rigor, comfort operating with ambiguity, and the ability to champion process improvements and reduce supply chain risk in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
This is a hybrid position, reporting to the Philadelphia, PA HQ Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during business hours.
Own item-level forecasting, purchasing, and inventory planning for a portfolio of items, aligning bottoms-up plans to merchandise financial expectations
Analyze and manage key performance metrics including in-stocks, weeks of supply, turns, damage & expiration, and vendor fill rates, translating insights into strategic recommendations and action plans
Design, refine, and execute inventory strategies, including minimum order constraints, production lead times, safety stock, and lifecycle management
Lead cross-functional planning efforts with Merchandising and supplier partners to support new item launches, attribute changes, and assortment optimization
Manage vendor relationships end-to-end and proactively flag supply risks, production delays, or service issues, working with partners to drive resolution
Stay updated on inventory management/supply chain best practices in an e-commerce and last mile delivery environment
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus
2–5 years of experience in Supply Chain, planning and allocation, replenishment, or inventory management
Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations
High ownership mentality with comfort making decisions and operating with urgency
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proficiency in Excel required; experience with planning systems, dashboards, or data querying is a plus
