What you'll do:
As a Senior Software Developer, your key area of responsibility will be writing scalable, high-quality, and secure software while ensuring the functionality, performance, reliability, and system architecture for each assignment. You will need to work closely with Leads, senior leaders, junior team members, and the technical support staff and resellers. To be successful in this role, you will be a strong team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to engage with all levels of the organization. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills with an ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through to completion.

Listen and contribute to design discussions and make detailed notes and documenting requirements and technical design.

Provide guidance to more junior team members, sharing knowledge across the teams.

Write scalable, high quality and secure software in a variety of programming languages and environments, such as C#, JavaScript, SQL.

Perform quality assurance by doing peer review, ensuring coding standards are followed, looking for logic errors and other bugs.
- Analyze call stacks, trace files, performance data to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of bugs.

Participate in development of prototypes, minimum viable products and proofs of concept.

Research new language features, frameworks and other relevant technologies and offer recommendations to Leads and senior leaders.

Provide assistance to our support staff and resellers from a technical perspective. This may be in the form of on-call or ad-hoc questions relating to how certain features work or verifying the behaviour by reviewing code.

Assist in defining best practices to be used in the team.

Provide design documents and documentation to ensure efficient maintenance and code reuse.

Ensure the functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules and system architecture for each assignment.

Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotating schedule (if applicable).
What you'll bring to the role:
- 5-8+ years of required previous experience as a Software Developer using object-oriented programming to build scalable applications.
- Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree, with a specialization in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with C#, .Net 6+, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with Postgres database design, optimization, and writing queries.
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is required.
- Expert knowledge with optimizing databases (e.g. MySQL).
- Proficiency in Git (or some other distributed source control tool) and are comfortable with resolving merge conflicts and branching strategies.
- Strong team player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions.
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Electrical/Software Engineering or other related degrees.

What you'll do:
As an SRE Observability Architect, your key area of responsibility will be defining the foundational observability architecture that enables scalable, cost-efficient, and highly reliable insight into distributed systems while leading the design of next-generation observability platforms. You will need to work closely with SRE, platform engineering, and application development teams, as well as align with security and compliance stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will be a strong analytical and systems thinker with the ability to navigate complex, ambiguous technical challenges and articulate technical architecture to executive audiences. In addition, the successful candidate will have deep expertise in designing enterprise-scale observability platforms and the ability to influence and drive technical direction across multiple teams and organizational boundaries.

Define and own the enterprise-wide observability architecture, establishing technical standards, reference architectures, and multi-year roadmaps.

Evaluate, select, and standardize observability tooling (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Tempo, Loki, Elastic Stack, OpenTelemetry) to reduce tool sprawl and optimize total cost of ownership.

Design scalable data pipelines and storage strategies capable of ingesting and querying petabyte-scale telemetry data across metrics, traces, logs, and continuous profiling.

Design Terraform modules and Helm charts for declarative observability infrastructure provisioning across multi-cloud environments.

Establish and enforce instrumentation standards using the OpenTelemetry framework, including SDK guidelines, collector deployment patterns, and semantic conventions.

Define and champion SLO/SLI/error-budget frameworks across engineering teams, providing architectural guidance on service-level objective implementation.

Serve as a senior escalation point during critical incidents, leveraging deep observability expertise to accelerate diagnosis and resolution.

Provide architectural mentorship and technical guidance to Observability Engineers and SRE team members.
What you'll bring to the role:

5-8 years of experience in Observability Architecture, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform/Infrastructure Engineering.

Post-secondary Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Mastery of the OpenTelemetry ecosystem and expert-level knowledge of Prometheus-compatible metrics systems (VictoriaMetrics, Thanos, etc.).

Advanced experience with tracing systems (Grafana Tempo, Jaeger) and log aggregation platforms (Loki, Elasticsearch, Google BigQuery).

As a Government Security Operations Architect, your key area of responsibility will be holistically evaluating designs and architecture, applying deep technical expertise to understand business impacts, and recommending new solutions to meet security compliance requirements. You will be responsible for owning System Diagrams for the GTP Gov environment, performing risk assessments, and ensuring security strategies are applied correctly across public sector programs. Lifecycle (SDLC), security, CI/CD and risk management best practices.

Subject Matter Expertise in Security Compliance Frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and FedRAMP.
