About the Role
Forter seeks a highly skilled, motivated Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join the Customer Experience Offerings (CXO) team. This team delivers and scales Forter’s core offerings and agentic experiences, creating smart automation for customers to confidently understand, configure, and optimize their journey.
Part of the Customer Experience group, this high-impact, hands-on role involves working across the full application stack—frontend (React, Next.js), backend (Node.js, TypeScript), data pipelines, and platform development. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in full-stack development, large-scale data stores, event-driven pipelines, data models, and high-throughput infrastructure. You will design and implement robust, end-to-end solutions for the customer portal and internal tools, and play a central role in shaping AI-driven capabilities as we invest heavily in Agentic AI.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive the end-to-end technical strategy and development for Forter's core offerings and the intelligent, agentic experiences that empower customers to configure and continuously optimize their journey.
- Define and implement the authoritative technical standards for user configuration and data interaction/visualization, ensuring high performance and reusability across the platform.
- Lead the development of next-generation Agentic AI capabilities. Define how LLMs integrate into our platform, build AI-powered workflows, and establish strong engineering patterns for safe and reliable adoption.
- Own and evolve the data foundations behind the portal. Optimize pipelines, improve data quality and freshness, and design resilient data-access patterns to ensure customers can confidently understand and analyze the impact of their choices.
- Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact initiatives, focusing on unifying the user journey by bridging the gap between configuration and results analysis. Contribute hands-on across the full stack when needed, maintain execution momentum, and drive projects from concept to production.
- Work closely with product, design, customer-facing teams, and partner engineering groups. Turn ambiguous problems into clear execution plans and ensure alignment with customer and business goals.
Who are you?
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with deep expertise in full-stack development, including strong command of modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js) and backend technologies (Node.js, TypeScript).
- Experience building customer-facing products and working closely with product managers and customer-facing stakeholders.
- Strong familiarity with cloud-native environments. AWS experience is a significant advantage.
- Hands-on experience with distributed systems, data-intensive architectures, and event-driven pipelines. You are comfortable working with stores like Redis, Kafka, SQS, Elasticsearch, MySQL, and Snowflake, and you know how to design efficient data-access layers, optimize schema and query performance, and build reliable ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Demonstrated impact in senior engineering roles. You have led complex technical initiatives, influenced product decisions, and helped drive architecture across teams.
- Deep systems thinking with the ability to design and scale robust, performant, and maintainable services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. You can discuss architecture with engineers, roadmap with product managers, and explain tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience using modern AI development tools such as Claude, GitHub CoPilot or similar to accelerate development and improve quality.
- Proven ability to self-manage, work autonomously, and drive projects forward without heavy oversight.
It’d be really cool if you also have:
- Experience building products or workflows powered by LLMs or Agentic AI
- Experience with micro-frontends or multi-app ecosystem architectures
- Deep experience with designing or maintaining high-scale data pipelines, including streaming, batching, or real-time enrichment workflows
- Experience leading workshops, sharing knowledge internally, or driving community practices

About the role:
Forter is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Decision Engineering team. The group is responsible for the real-time, low-latency infrastructure that powers Forter’s fraud decisions and external APIs.
Our systems process billions of requests every day, ensuring high availability, security, and performance at global scale.
In this role, you’ll work on core backend components such as our decision engine, ingestion and enrichment pipelines, schema management systems, and self-serve API platform. The software you build will power critical business decisions and directly serve some of the world’s largest merchants.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership position for an engineer who thrives on solving complex distributed systems challenges, cares deeply about production-grade quality, and wants to shape the foundation of Forter’s decisioning platform.
What you'll be doing:
- Design, build, and scale backend systems that power Forter’s real-time decisioning and APIs.
- Own projects end-to-end - from design and implementation to production rollout and monitoring.
- Ensure systems are low-latency, fault-tolerant, and high-throughput across distributed environments.
- Enhance observability, reliability, and developer experience through strong operational and tooling practices.

What you'll need:
- 6+ years of experience building backend systems in large-scale production environments

- Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and accountability

About the role:
We’re on a mission to build the first holistic smart payment solution-one that maximizes authorization rates for our merchants by intelligently determining and executing the optimal strategy for every transaction. Our Payments team is designing and running highly critical, production-grade infrastructure, and we’re looking for a deeply technical engineer to help shape it from the ground up.
In this role, you’ll lead the design and development of payment products, build resilient infrastructure, dive deep into technical complexity to solve production challenges, and work closely with teammates, stakeholders, and customers to understand their needs. You’ll have end-to-end ownership-from architecture and coding to deployment and monitoring-while helping set the technical direction for a growing initiative.

- 7+ years building and maintaining complex software systems

About the role:
Forter is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior II Software Engineer to join the Operational Experience engineering team. The team is part of the Customer Experience group, which is responsible for the platform, tools, and customer-facing experiences that power how Forter’s customers interact with our ecosystem. Forter is looking for a Senior Engineer with a data engineering background to join our growing ML Platform team. This is a great opportunity, whether you have experience with ML and are looking for a ML focused product or are an experienced Data Engineer looking to enter the world of ML. - 4+ years experience with large-scale data processing, ideally with Apache Spark.
