About the Role
Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We are looking for a proven leader to join our Sales Engineering team to oversee the Enterprise Sales Engineering team at Fivetran. As a Senior Manager of Sales Engineering at Fivetran, you will manage a team of approximately 6-8 Sales Engineers. This team specializes in achieving the “technical win” in interacting with technical and business stakeholders across a multitude of verticals. In this strategic role, you will adopt and optimize the Fivetran playbook to maximize revenue growth while partnering closely with Fivetran Account Executives, Account Management, Marketing, and Partner Alliances, therefore interpersonal engagement and orchestration is essential. In addition, you will develop deep relationships with our technology and implementation partners to accelerate market share capture and joint success.
The ideal candidate will be a high impact individual capable of driving outstanding business results & continual employee development. This leader is fully responsible for managing the team to generate exceptional results among your direct reports, accelerate the progression of business through the sales journey, and drive the technical win.
This is a full-time position based remotely in France, Ireland or the UK reporting to the Director of Sales Engineering, EMEA.
What You'll Do
- Implement and optimize strategies to maximize revenue growth
- Ensure that direct reports are providing timely and accurate technical leadership in the sales process
- Coach your team members to maximize performance and prepare them for future roles
- Affirm team is documenting opportunities to drive prospect engagements and communicate with in the team
- Be driven by data and affirm that we are capturing data for continuous forecast improvement
- Help your team win technically within key accounts
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership on strategies and tactics to win new and maintain customers
- Communicate with your leadership and the sales leadership team the progression of opportunities and forecast technical wins
- Meet all defined goals and metrics
- Communicate and present complex solutions to C-level executives
- Provide market feedback to management team to optimize sales strategy and positioning
- Be an escalation point for key deals in the pre-sales process
- Work with product management and engineering teams to prioritize enhancements and technical issues
Skills We're Looking For
- Experience in Enterprise Sales Engineering as a Manager or Senior/Lead Sales Engineer for a SaaS platform
- Best in class communication skills
- Superior technical skills
- Proven experience collaborating with a peer Sales Director to mutually drive successful sales outcomes
- Extensive experience in Databases, Replication, Cloud Warehouses, and APIs
- Proven ability to lead a team of technically-minded direct reports
- A coach-first mentality

About the Role
Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We’re looking for a Senior Account Executive, Enterprise who will be responsible for generating new business pipeline and expansion and closing new customers in the Enterprise segment (Top Accounts in Spain, Italy and Portugal). This includes identifying specific projects where Fivetran can add value.
This is a full-time position based remotely in Paris.
Technologies You’ll Use
- Salesforce, Clari, Gong, Looker, Demandware, Ironclad, Workday
What You'll do
- Plan territory within 50 ENT accounts to prospect + Clients to Expand
- Generate new business qualified opportunities by working with Tech Partners, SI Partners, XDRs, going direct outbound on named accounts in territory
- Actively pitch the value proposition of Fivetran’s Database replication capabilities along with the Fivetran platform at-large
- Manage 90-180 day sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and departments to land in an enterprise organization
- Negotiate responsible deals and manage the procurement process with legal, deal desk, and deal champions
- Develop trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and senior decision makers at large organizations who will evangelize Fivetran throughout their company
- As part of our commitment to setting new hires up for success, all new sales team members attend a one-week, in-person Revenue Bootcamp during their second week at Fivetran. This bootcamp, held at one of our designated company locations, requires travel and is a mandatory part of the onboarding process.
Skills We're Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in new business sales, demonstrating a track record of success in selling to enterprise-level organizations.Have the vision to succeed
- Plan the vision by a strategy through territory and account planning
- Drive pipeline generation with ecosystem
- Land customers as soon as possible
- Sell services to help offload onboarding
- Proficient in sales within the Data industry
- Capable of effectively utilising both inside and outside sales approaches to secure deals.
- Demonstrated proficiency in generating new business-qualified opportunities across diverse channels.
- Proven track experience covering Southern Europe Territory
Bonus Skills
- Fluency in French and Spanish are essential - Italian a plus and English need to be fluent
