What do we need
We are seeking a Scientific Technical Solutions Lead to join the team developing scientific Solutions built on Dotmatics LUMA, a next-generation, multi-tenant, AI-powered data management and workflow automation for multimodal scientific discovery. As a Scientific technical lead on the team, you will work closely with other Solution Architects, product management, engineering teams, and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional product capabilities via Luma Solutions.
Your focus will be on designing and implementing the configuration necessary to realise product vision and on ensuring that this configuration follows best practices within the Life Sciences and Chemical & Material space.
This role offers the opportunity to shape a foundational part of the modern lab—helping scientists work faster, smarter, and with greater impact.
In this role you will get to:
- Design configuration: Collaborate with Product to determine application structure, define entity/data models, specify task workflows (Scientific Workflows) , and define desired data visualization experiences
- Develop configuration: Create registration entities, data flows, task templates, data visualization experiences, and other configurations in support of developing Luma Solutions that will be delivered as part of the product
- Test and troubleshoot configuration: Perform in-team testing of configuration and assist is handing test cases to the QA group for release testing. Troubleshoot configuration to understand why it is not producing desired results.
- Contribute to documentation: Write draft documentation of configuration and workflows and collaborate with the Documentation team to develop final customer-facing documentation
- Train internal and external users: Train members of other Dotmatics teams and early customers on how to use Luma Solutions configuration and the workflows it supports
- Provide input into new product features: Use new product features in Luma Solutions and provide feedback on the experience, participate in user experience testing, and provide input to the Product team about features that will enable the best Solutions
- Champion quality and best practices: Actively participate in the development of best practices for Luma configuration, and ensure these best practices are followed in the development of Luma Solutions
We are looking for people who have 10+ years of hands-on experience building and delivering informatics solutions for Life Sciences customers. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Life Sciences, Data Science, Chemistry, Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related technical discipline — and brings a genuine passion for quality and continuous improvement, fueled by a drive to solve problems that truly matter.
The key skills we are looking for:
- Life Science Industry experience, either as a Scientific Solution Architect, technical application Scientist or a Scientist who has been heavily involved with designing products or technical applications
- Advanced expertise in data modeling, with a proven ability to design robust, scalable data structures
- Expert-level proficiency in configuring low-code platforms and designing end-to-end workflows
- Demonstrated success delivering scientific data platforms or tools spanning data modeling, ETL, APIs, and BI/reporting
- Expert-level SQL skills, with strong working knowledge of Python and JSON
- Deep experience integrating tools and modules to architect complete, cohesive solutions
- Strong analytical ability to translate product requirements into precise technical configuration designs
- Excellent communication skills — able to distill complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels
- Experience running and/or supporting scientific workflows in a production or research environment

What do we need
Dotmatics is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. We are building the most powerful R&D AI-Powered platform in the world. Luma is an AI-Native Multimodal Research Platform for Scientific Intelligence, Luma fits the way our customers “do science”. It allows scientists to streamline scientific research with adaptive R&D workflows driven by AI and seamless data integration. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for building robust, scalable features and ensuring the technical health of our codebase. You should be a "hands-on" expert in the Node.js/React ecosystem with a passion for scientific innovation. We value engineers who are curious about AI and are motivated to find new ways to use AI in software development.
**This is a remote position, located in Mass. There will be some travel required to the office in Boston for team meetings and working sessions.**
In this role you will
- Lead the development of complex, high-impact features within a Node.js/TypeScript and React ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain serverless and event-driven data pipelines capable of handling high-volume scientific data.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. You will proactively identify technical debt and advocate for architectural improvements.
- Partner closely with other team members to build intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex scientific research.
- Provide technical guidance through thoughtful code reviews and pair programming, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Support the reliability of our services by implementing observability and participating in the deployment and monitoring of your code in production.
We are looking for candidates with 8+ years experience in engineering preferably in a SaaS environment, and ideally with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent. You will be curious and inquisitive question the why and the how!!
The key skills we are looking for
- Expert-level proficiency with Node.js and React.
- Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and a solid understanding of Docker/Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Experience working with message-based architectures (e.g., Kafka) and event-driven patterns.
- A strong advocate for automated testing (unit, integration, E2E) and experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and a track record of delivering value in iterative cycles.
You may also have experience in
- Experience building and scaling complex data ingestion or processing workflows.
- Experience with Terraform or similar deployment technologies.
- Exposure to AWS/GCP or experience designing systems that can run across multiple cloud providers.

Starting salary range USD$130,000+

You will be responsible for developing and implementing software solutions that meet our company's needs. Working on groundbreaking Scientific Software products such as LUMA and ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook) you will bring an understanding of Java, Node.js, React, and the latest software development practices to the team, in this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate with wider teams on best practices alongside other developers.

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer, with a Software Engineering background for our M-Star team. M-Star is modern computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software that provides first-principles modelling tools for scientists and engineers, generating predictions that are functionally indistinguishable from measured data.
As the Senior Cloud Infrastructure you will maintain and enhance our cloud-based infrastructure. This role combines DevOps, AWS-based deployment, and IT Security. The engineer should have strong experience managing deployed DevOps systems in the cloud. You will spearhead our ISO 27001 effort and maintain compliance with corporate security requirements.
Build, CI, and Licensing Systems
- Maintain and operate the software build server and continuous integration pipelines for cross-platform desktop and HPC applications
- Manage release processes and versioned software distribution.
- Support and maintain license control systems and related backend services.
- Maintain AWS-based software distribution and business operations systems
- Lead IT security related efforts such as ISO 27001 and corporate security implementations
- Manage and configure AWS services, including:
- EC2, RDS, S3, ECR
- IAM, WAF, CloudFront, Identity
- CloudTrail, Security Lake
- Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of cloud infrastructure
- Support operational tooling across AWS and other cloud providers
- Administrator for a diverse set of services (Office, AWS, Github, Mailchimp, etc)
The key skills we are looking for
- Strong DevOps/Platform Engineering experience
- Software engineering background (ideally C++ or other compiled languages)
- Strong understanding of build systems and software compilation pipelines
- Experience managing deployments and release processes
- Comfortable working with complex/compiled codebases (not just web apps)
- CI/CD, build systems background
- Knowledge of IT Security best practices, ISO 27001 requirements
- Experience with software licensing systems
- Knowledge of C++ build systems
- Python for CI automation and operations
- Strong AWS infrastructure background

Dotmatics is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. We are building the most powerful R&D AI-Powered platform in the world. Luma is an AI-Native Multimodal Research Platform for Scientific Intelligence, Luma fits the way our customers “do science”. It allows scientists to streamline scientific research with adaptive R&D workflows driven by AI and seamless data integration. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for building robust, scalable features and ensuring the technical health of our codebase. You should be a "hands-on" expert in the Node.js/React ecosystem with a passion for scientific innovation. We value engineers who are curious about AI and are motivated to find new ways to use AI in software development.

In this role you will
- Lead the development of complex, high-impact features within a Node.js/TypeScript and React ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain serverless and event-driven data pipelines capable of handling high-volume scientific data.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. You will proactively identify technical debt and advocate for architectural improvements.
- Partner closely with other team members to build intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex scientific research.
- Provide technical guidance through thoughtful code reviews and pair programming, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Support the reliability of our services by implementing observability and participating in the deployment and monitoring of your code in production.
We are looking for candidates with 8+ years experience in engineering preferably in a SaaS environment, and ideally with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent. You will be curious and inquisitive question the why and the how!!
The key skills we are looking for
- Expert-level proficiency with Node.js and React.
- Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and a solid understanding of Docker/Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Experience working with message-based architectures (e.g., Kafka) and event-driven patterns.
- A strong advocate for automated testing (unit, integration, E2E) and experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and a track record of delivering value in iterative cycles.

As the Quality Management System (QMS) lead you will oversee and drive quality management framework and processes that support the delivery of our Flow Cytometry software into regulated biopharma customer environments (typically clinical development and QC labs). In addition to supporting our existing FCS Express clinical and validation-ready software that is already extensively used in regulated labs, this role is especially targeted at transforming our OMIQ SaaS platform into a fully validation-ready solution that meets the requirements of customers wishing to deploy OMIQ into GxP-compliant environments, ensuring our customers can transition from research to clinical trials with absolute confidence in our data integrity and quality standards.
This is a role where the successful candidate will architect our QMS in alignment with Dotmatics GxP policies and procedures as well as industry standard guidance including but not limited to ISO 9001, 13485 (21 CFR part 820), ICH Q10, and PIC/S. Additionally, the person in this role will lead all validation efforts, and serve as the technical face of Quality for biopharma customers using our Flow Cytometry products in alignment with 21 CFR part 11, GAMP 5, 21 CFR part 58, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
In this role you will get to
- Quality Management Leadership: Design, implement, and maintain a functional QMS for the Flow Cytometry division that aligns with corporate standards while remaining optimized for SaaS delivery.
- Validation Asset Creation: Deeply engage in the development, authoring, maintaining and training of critical validation documentation, including User Requirements Specifications (URS), Risk Assessments (FMEA), Configuration Specifications, IQ/OQ/PQ and Validation Summary Reports.
- Product Strategy: Define the roadmap for compliance-specific features, ensuring that audit trails, e-signatures, and data residency requirements evolve alongside clinical regulatory trends (21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, ALCOA+) and enterprise requirements.
- Customer Advocacy & Sales Support: Serve as the technical subject matter expert during the sales cycle, leading "Quality Deep Dives" with customer Quality Assurance (QA) and IT departments to facilitate successful audits and system adoption.
- Process Integration: Partner with Engineering to integrate automated testing and validation checkpoints into their existing SDLCs, moving toward a model of "Continuous Validation."
- Regulatory Intelligence: Act as the primary scout for the division on shifting regulatory landscapes for clinical software.

We are looking for people who have 7+ years in the Biopharma/MedTech space, with at least 5 years specifically focused on Computer System Validation (CSV) and Quality Management for SaaS, and hold a B.S. or Advanced Degree in Life Sciences (Immunology/Hematology preferred) or Computer Science.
The key skills we are looking for
- Computer System Validation (CSV) and Quality Management for SaaS.
- Technical Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of Flow Cytometry data analysis workflows and the unique challenges of high-dimensional biological data.
- Regulatory Mastery: Proven track record of navigating 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485, and HIPAA/GDPR requirements.
- A Hybrid Skillset: Ability to write a technical risk assessment in the morning and lead a strategic product roadmap session in the afternoon.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to explain complex technical architectures to non-technical Quality Officers and vice-versa. Able to teach and train staff on Validation, GxPs, and processes.

Dotmatics is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join our team. We are building the most powerful R&D AI-Powered platform in the world. As a Staff Data Engineer, you will be responsible for driving improvements in reliability, performance, and operability while helping to hire, mentor, and grow a world-class engineering team. You are curious and have some working knowledge of using AI in your everyday work or in your own personal projects, and be motivated to find new ways to use AI in software development and drug discovery.

In this role, you will
- Define and drive system architecture for services within a Node.js/TypeScript ecosystem.
- Contribute to and improve engineering standards, patterns, and best practices for distributed systems, observability, and reliability.
- Architect and implement serverless and event-driven data processing pipelines for high-volume scientific data.
- Guarantee the scalability, maintainability, and security of software solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to Software Engineers, conduct code reviews, and raise the bar for design, code quality, and operational excellence.

We are looking for candidates with 12+ years experience in engineering preferably in a SaaS environment, and ideally with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

- Advanced working experience in Data Engineering pipelines and Asynchronous processing
- Expert knowledge of Node.js and React.
- Proven experience designing and implementing distributed, event-driven systems and high-level web applications.
- Experience implementing automated testing platforms, unit tests, and integration tests.
- Advanced working experience with large data processing platforms Spark, Databricks,Snowflake
- Professional experience with PostgreSQL and building/consuming RESTful APIs.

What do we need
We are seeking a Senior QA/SDET to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge scientific software products, including LUMA. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving quality across the engineering lifecycle through a combination of strategic test planning, robust automation, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
As a Senior QA/SDET, you will take ownership of designing and evolving test frameworks, expanding automation coverage, and continuously improving quality engineering practices. You’ll work closely with developers, application scientists, and DevOps engineers to proactively identify risks, validate complex functionality, and ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software.
While the primary focus of this role is automation, it may also involve aspects of manual exploratory testing, particularly in early-stage features or areas with high scientific complexity.
In this role you will get to
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable automation test suites for web-based scientific applications.
- Define and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans that ensure high test coverage across functional, regression, integration, and system levels
- Collaborate with product teams to identify test scenarios, reproduce complex defects, and validate bug fixes in coordination with developers and scientists.
- Drive quality engineering best practices and contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) workflows.
- Ensure accurate documentation of test results, automation processes, and framework enhancements.
- Work with leading experts in development, scientific product management and other excellent SDETs.
- Contribute to the overall test architecture and mentor junior QA and automation engineers as needed.
We are looking for people who have at 6+ years’ experience in QA/Testing, including at least 4 years focused on automation, and who demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, with a methodical, detail-oriented approach. You should be confident owning complex test initiatives end-to-end, driving quality strategy, and delivering reliable automation in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
The Key Skills we are looking for
- Expertise in Cypress, including the use of custom commands, advanced debugging, plugin integration, handling Shadow DOM elements, testing React-based applications, and implementing scalable Page Object Models
- Strong command of TypeScript, particularly with features such as interfaces, generics, and asynchronous programming techniques used in building robust, maintainable test code.
- Proven experience in test case design and documentation, with a focus on creating comprehensive and reusable test scenarios that support long-term quality goals.
- Ability to effectively interpret API documentation and translate it into high-quality automated test coverage, while also writing clear, maintainable documentation for test frameworks, tools, and QA processes.
- Deep understanding of Git, including advanced usage of Git workflows, branch management, and experience collaborating within structured environments using JIRA or similar tracking systems.
You may also have:
- Experience building and executing performance tests using tools like K6 or similar load testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with data integrity validation strategies, particularly in the context of release upgrades, data migrations, or schema changes.
