Position Overview:
3rd Risk, a Diligent Company is looking for a Senior Product Designer to drive UX/UI design within our fast-moving product design team. As part of the broader UX department, you’ll lead high-impact initiatives - balancing future-focused exploration with critical design efforts that extend beyond traditional product roadmaps. At Diligent, design is bold and thoughtful, shaping products trusted by leaders worldwide. You’ll guide design direction, influence product strategy, and partner across teams to transform complex challenges into simple, elegant solutions that make a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process end-to-end: from discovery and ideation to final handoff and iteration post-launch.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define problems and shape solutions.
- Translate research insights and business requirements into clear, usable, and visually compelling designs.
- Champion user-centered design and ethical AI integration within product teams and across the organization.
- Evaluate and adopt AI-powered tools that support design research, prototyping, testing, and content generation.
- Facilitate workshops, design critiques, and collaborative sessions to align teams.
- Mentor and provide feedback to junior designers.
- Actively contribute to design systems, processes, and team best practices.
Required Experience/Skills:
- 5-7 years of professional experience in product design, including SaaS and enterprise software.
- Demonstrated ability to own complex design projects end-to-end.
- Strong foundation in UX and visual design, supported by an excellent portfolio.
- Deep understanding of product design cycles, from research through delivery and iteration.
- Fluency in modern design tools.
- Experience conducting user research.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, comfortable presenting as well as collaborating with peers.
- Experience working with and contributing to design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency.
- Ability to apply AI in design workflows.
- Awareness of responsible AI practices, bias considerations, and ethical implications.
- Bonus: coding knowledge, motion design, or data visualization skills.
- This role is based in Amsterdam and follows a hybrid working model. Candidates must already be residing in the Netherlands and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands at the time of application.

Software Engineer I

Position Overview:
As a Software Engineer I, you will contribute to building and improving our SaaS platform using a modern stack centered around Laravel (PHP). You will help develop secure, scalable, and maintainable backend services and APIs that directly impact our customers. In this role, you will not only build new features, but also play an active role in maintaining product quality by investigating issues, fixing bugs, and supporting the resolution of customer-reported problems. This gives you direct exposure to real-world usage of the product and helps you develop strong debugging and problem-solving skills. You’ll be part of architectural discussions, actively contribute to sprints, and gain exposure to the full product lifecycle. This role is perfect for someone early in their engineering journey who is eager to grow, experiment, and make a meaningful impact from day one, including exploring how AI tools can enhance development workflows and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of features and APIs within our Laravel applications
- Take ownership of smaller user stories with guidance from more senior engineers
- Investigate, reproduce, and fix bugs reported by users or internal teams
- Support the customer support team by helping analyse and resolve technical issues
- Monitor and improve application stability and reliability
- Follow engineering best practices (code quality, testing, CI/CD)
- Use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to support coding, debugging, and learning while critically validating outputs
- Build an understanding of how your work impacts system behaviour and the end-user experience
Required Experience/Skills:
- 0–3 years of hands-on software development in an agile environment

- Understanding of MySQL / MariaDB (relational databases), AWS cloud infrastructure, REST APIs and system integrations
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows

- Experience with Docker or containerised environments is a plus

We’re looking for a technically savvy Customer Support Specialist who enjoys diving into customer issues and taking ownership of solutions. In this role, you’ll handle Tier I support, respond to client inquiries, and work through problems independently before escalating when needed.

As a Software Engineer II, you'll take on a hands-on technical role in building and evolving our Third Party Risk Management (SaaS) platform using Laravel (PHP). This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer who writes solid code, mentors others, and embraces AI-powered tools to work smarter and faster. You’ll guide junior engineers, shape architectural discussions, and help scale modern development practices, including responsible use of AI in workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain features and APIs within our Laravel applications
- Own and deliver well-defined stories independently, with a clear grasp of team architecture, frameworks, and tools
- Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability

- Review code, uphold engineering standards, and contribute to testing and CI/CD practices

Position Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you are responsible for driving the design, development, and scalability of our Third Party Risk Management (SaaS) platform built on Laravel (PHP). You play a key role in building new features and complex product capabilities, while ensuring high standards in performance, reliability, security, and maintainability. In this role, you’ll lead by example, owning services end-to-end from development to deployment and monitoring, driving architectural discussions, and mentoring others across the team. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and own secure, scalable services within our Laravel applications, guiding technical decisions and evaluating trade-offs (including AI- driven components) to meet reliability, performance, and cost goals
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and prototyping, while rigorously validating outputs to ensure quality and safety
- Advise on appropriate AI use (model concepts, prompt patterns, ethical/privacy considerations), embed monitoring and compliance checks into workflows, and document residual risks and mitigations
- Coach peers on engineering best practices and AI-augmented approaches; partner with Product, Security, DevOps, and other teams to align on features, deployment, and compliance.
- Scout and pilot emerging tools or frameworks (including AI toolchains), integrate automated governance checks into pipelines, and enhance observability and incident response with an eye on productivity, cost, and resilience
- Diagnose and resolve high-impact production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes
- Contribute to and guide architectural decisions and technical roadmap discussions
- Review code, uphold engineering standards, and improve testing and CI/CD practices
- Mentor and coach engineers (Software Engineer I & II), providing technical guidance and feedback
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and support teams to deliver high-impact features

Required Experience/Skills:
- 5-7 years of professional software engineering in an agile environment, delivering secure, scalable services.
- Deep expertise in PHP and Laravel, with experience delivering and scaling production features

To foster strong collaboration and connection, this role will follow a hybrid work model. If you are within a commuting distance to one of our Diligent office locations, you will be expected to work onsite at least 50% of the time.
