Cresco Labs is seeking a Lead Cultivation Agent to join our growing facility. The Lead Cultivation Agent works within our on-site cannabis gardens to lead a team of agents in their daily tasks of monitoring and maintaining plant production and health. This individual will also oversee quality control measures within the greenhouse to ensure the highest quality products and highest standards of compliance are met, while keeping a keen eye to cleanliness and efficiency of the production area. 

CORE JOB DUTIES 

Agent Support and Management:    

• Responsible for managing cultivation staff, schedules, cultivation processes, and inventory.    

• Serves as a role-model and resource for cultivation staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulations.    

• Responds to all gardener questions, concerns, or suggestions and takes action when necessary to resolve conflicts.    

• Responsible for delegating tasks to gardeners order to maintain a compliant and clean cultivation facility.    

• Coordinates with the Garden Manager to ensure accurate information is communicated to the cultivation staff.    

Cultivation Operation Management:    

• Oversees all cultivation tasks and processes, ensures proper documentation of all applicable activities in accordance with the State and standards set by Cresco Labs.    

• Responsible for measuring and mixing nutrient and plant applications and applying these mixtures according to Cresco Labs policy.    

• Ensure plant health by pruning, topping, trimming, and analyzing plant health according to Cresco Labs policy, as well as any other tasks required.    

• Maintain rotation of strains through garden to ensure variety and quantity for cultivation facility.    

Reports and Documentation:    

• Maintain accurate records of all cultivation activities including inventory records, crop application records, materials receipt, returns, etc. in accordance with the State and standards set by Cresco Labs.    

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS  

• Two years experience in general production, preferably a regulated field producing for human consumption. Or, any satisfactory combination of experience and training which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the above-described duties. 

• Demonstrated experience training, leading and/or mentoring junior staff or new hires preferred. 

• Advanced knowledge of plant cultivation and cultivation facility operations    

• Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills 

• Computer literacy in word processing, point-of-sale systems, and data base management    

• Knowledge of medical cannabis policy and law  

• Proficiency in windows-based software and point of sale applications.    

• Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.

• Processing harvest flower material by hand and with the assistance of trimming and sorting machine
• Demonstrate a working knowledge and operation of trimming and sorting machine
• Partner closely with sorting team to ensure smooth transition of product and maximize efficiencies
• Grating and sorting processed material
• Weighing and logging material
• Collecting samples and performing tests to ensure quality
• Ensure machine is cleaned and sanitized between each run and end of shift; maintain a sanitary work environment
• Safely transport products from workspace to storage area

Completion of tasks assigned by the Cultivation Team Lead to monitor and maintain plant production and health. Maintain quality control measures to ensure high quality product. Maintain organization, cleanliness and efficiency of production area. Main duties will entail carrying out day-to-day plant care including watering, pruning, harvesting and trimming. Must monitor and maintain plant production and quality control measures in accordance with the commonwealth and standards set by Cresco Labs.

Plant Care:

• Ensure plant health by pruning, topping, trimming, according to Cresco Labs policy, as well as any other tasks required.
• Moving plants in an orderly, time efficient manner from one area of the cultivation facility to another
• Transplanting smaller plants into bigger pots
• Harvesting Plants in an orderly time efficient manner
• Bucking wet or dry plants after harvest

Facility Cleaning:

• Perform all assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe cultivation facility, including the safe disposal of waste.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of all cultivation equipment and tools including light reflectors, containers, mixing tools, application tools, and ventilation equipment.

Reports and Documentation:

• Assist the Cultivation Manager with tracking plants from birth to harvest by ensuring proper and accurate documentation for applicable activities.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all plant tracking numbers, lot numbers, and all other applicable information.

The Cultivation Agent plays a crucial role in maintaining the health and quality of the plants, contributing to the overall success of the cultivation team. 

CORE JOB DUTIES 

• Perform daily plant care activities, such as watering, pruning, and monitoring plant health to ensure plants are thriving in all stages of growth (veg, flower, etc.). 
• Assist in transplanting plants into new containers and media, ensuring proper techniques are used to support healthy root development. 
• Regularly prune plants to maintain appropriate shape and canopy structure, ensuring maximum light exposure and air circulation. Assist with topping, lollipopping, and other plant training techniques as needed. 
• Assist in monitoring room conditions, such as temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels, to maintain an optimal environment for plant growth. Report any discrepancies or concerns to the supervisor. 
• Assist with harvesting plants at the appropriate time, including cutting, bucking, and preparing plants for drying. Ensure plants are handled properly to maintain quality. 
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of plant growth, health observations, and tasks performed. Document any issues or adjustments made during the cultivation process. 
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, and work areas regularly to meet compliance and sanitation standards. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS  

• Experience in general production, preferably a regulated field producing for human consumption. Or, any satisfactory combination of experience and training which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the above-described duties.  
• Experience in horticulture, agriculture, or cannabis cultivation preferred. 
• Basic knowledge of plant biology, plant care, and cultivation techniques preferred. 
• Strong attention to detail, effective time management, and organizational skills. 
• Ability to follow SOPs and work in a fast-paced environment. 
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new cultivation practices and technologies. 
• Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust. 
• Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• Experience in a position with supervisory/managerial responsibilities with demonstrated experience managing agents and operations. 
• Knowledge of plant cultivation and cultivation facility operations, including topping procedures, weeding out bad clones, and keeping a uniform canopy 
• Critical-thinking, problem-solving, planning and assessment 
• Computer literacy in word processing, database management, windows-based software and point of sale applications 
• OSHA certified in Safety training preferred  
• Knowledge of medical cannabis policy and law

Maintain organization, cleanliness and efficiency of production area. Main duties will entail carrying out day-to-day plant care including watering, pruning, harvesting and trimming. Must monitor and maintain plant production and quality control measures in accordance with the commonwealth and standards set by Cresco Labs.

CORE JOB DUTIES 

Plant Care: 

• Ensure plant health by pruning, topping, trimming, according to Cresco Labs policy, as well as any other tasks required. 

• Moving plants in an orderly, time efficient manner from one area of the cultivation facility to another 

• Moving soil/coco for transplanting plants 

• Transplanting smaller plants into bigger pots 

• Harvesting Plants in an orderly time efficient manner 

• Bucking wet or dry plants after harvest 

Facility Cleaning: 

• Perform all assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe cultivation facility, including the safe disposal of waste. 

• Responsible for the cleanliness of all cultivation equipment and tools including light reflectors, containers, mixing tools, application tools, and ventilation equipment. 

Reports and Documentation: 

• Assist the Cultivation Manager with tracking plants from birth to harvest by ensuring proper and accurate documentation for applicable activities. 

• Ensure accurate documentation of all plant tracking numbers, lot numbers, and all other applicable information.

• Execution of pest / disease treatment schedules as outlined by the IPM Supervisor 
• Assist with data entry and track & trace. 
• Responsible for filling out all IPM logs and reports as outlined by the IPM Supervisor and IPM Lead 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS 

• Two years’ experience in general production, preferably a regulated field producing for human consumption. Or, any satisfactory combination of experience and training which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the above-described duties. 
• Effective time-management, high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work as a self-starter 
• Ability to stand and wear proper protective equipment for extended time periods. 
• Ability to obtain and maintain State of Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicator License; including completion of state required documents & exams.

• Ability to read pesticide labels.
