Role Overview:
As the Production Engineer – Team Lead, you will be at the heart of CoreWeave’s cloud infrastructure stability and reliability. This senior generalist role is designed to provide strategic direction, operational continuity, and technical expertise across various facets of our platform. You will act as a bridge between engineering reliability and broader technical and organizational goals, ensuring a seamless connection between incident response, platform reliability, and team development. You will be responsible for guiding the team’s response to critical incidents, tracking performance against Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and driving improvements that enhance both operational readiness and reliability across the organization.
Your leadership will go beyond the immediate tactical resolution of incidents, ensuring that we continuously evolve our processes, communication, and training to support ongoing operational excellence. The Cloud Platform; Production Engineer Team Lead will reduce ambiguity, provide clarity, and keep reliability at the forefront of decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Incident Management & Recovery:
- Act as the Incident Commander during incidents, providing decisive leadership to ensure timely and effective resolution while minimizing impact.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and customer-facing units, during incidents, ensuring clear communication at all stages.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts, working with engineering teams to implement long-term, sustainable solutions and prevent recurrence.
- Own and refine the post-incident review (PIR) process, ensuring actionable outcomes and continuous learning across the team.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of incident response playbooks to ensure team readiness for diverse failure scenarios.
- Drive the escalation process, acting as the primary point of contact for high-priority incidents.
Operational Excellence & Reliability:
- Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and ensure alignment with business goals and team objectives.
- Champion the use of SLOs to guide incident prioritization, drive improvements, and communicate reliability outcomes.
- Identify and lead initiatives to improve system resilience, scalability, and disaster recovery capabilities across the platform.
- Develop and optimize KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics for incident management and operational efficiency.
- Spearhead the implementation of automation strategies to reduce Mean Time to Detection (MTTD) and Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR), while increasing overall platform reliability.
- Mentor and guide the cloud operations team, ensuring consistent growth in technical skills, incident response expertise, and leadership capabilities.
Drive rapid incident resolution, able to drive collective technical deep-dives into unknown systems - connecting SMEs to find the unknown unknowns in their systems and how those systems fit into the broader ecosystem.
Team Development & Mentorship:
- Lead the development of the team by training and mentoring Production Engineer I/II in incident management best practices, tools, and systems.
- Foster a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and feedback are prioritized.
- Support the creation and evolution of team processes, ensuring scalability and the ability to respond effectively to both current and future needs.
- Encourage professional growth and up-leveling within the team, creating a strong foundation for the next generation of Cloud Platform SREs.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in production engineering, cloud operations, site reliability engineering (SRE), or incident response roles.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Kubernetes-based infrastructure, AWS, GCP).
- Strong familiarity with incident management frameworks such as ITIL and SRE best practices.
- Proficiency with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and strong understanding of observability principles.
- Hands-on experience with automation, scripting, and configuration management tools (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform).
- Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions under pressure, guiding teams through high-stakes incident resolution.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience mentoring and coaching technical teams, driving a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an Incident Commander role, managing high-priority incidents and major service restorations.
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with change management processes, post-incident analysis techniques, and runbook automation.

The base salary range for this role is 196,000 to 262,000 SGD. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. - Fluency in cloud computing concepts, architecture, and technologies with hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions
- Proven track record with building customer relationships, communicating clearly and the ability to break down complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiar with NVIDIA GPUs typically used in AI/ML applications and associated technologies such as Infiniband and NVIDIA Collective Communications Library (NCCL)

About the Role:
Production Engineering ensures CoreWeave’s cloud delivers world-class reliability, performance, and operational excellence. We are hiring a Senior Production Engineer to take direct, hands-on ownership of critical tooling that drives reliability and delivery success.
In this role, you will work broadly across the cloud stack designing, implementing, deploying, and operating systems that improve delivery velocity, service availability, and operational safety. You’ll be responsible for leading end-to-end technical projects, maintaining long-lived systems the team owns, and strengthening our operational foundations through durable engineering investments.
This is a role for someone who enjoys building, debugging, and operating production systems. You will collaborate closely with service owners, but your primary impact comes from the reliability, quality, and maturity of the systems you deliver and maintain over time.
What You’ll Do:
- Take hands-on ownership of critical systems and frameworks, driving their architecture, implementation, and long-term evolution.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of engineering projects that improve availability, scalability, operational automation, and failure recovery.
- Build and maintain observability, alerting, automated remediation, and resilience testing for the systems you support.
- Participate in incident response as a subject-matter expert; drive deep root-cause investigations and implement lasting fixes.
- Improve runbooks, sources of truth, deployment workflows, and operational tooling to harden production readiness.
- Eliminate single points of failure and reduce operational toil through automation, refactors, and system redesigns.

Who You Are:

- Proven hands-on work experience with Kubernetes

In this role, you will:
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, establishing strong technical relationships and ensuring their success with CoreWeave's cloud infrastructure offerings, focusing on AI/ML workloads within high-performance compute (HPC) environments
- Collaborate closely with customers to understand their unique business needs and create, prototype, and deploy tailored solutions that align with their requirements.
- Lead proof of concept initiatives to showcase the value and viability of CoreWeave's solutions within specific environments.
- Drive technical leadership and direction during customer meetings, presentations, and workshops, addressing any technical queries or concerns that arise.
- Act as a virtual member of CoreWeave's Kubernetes product and engineering teams, identifying opportunities for product enhancement and collaborating with engineers to implement your suggestions.
- Offer valuable insights on product features, functionality, and performance, contributing regularly to discussions about product strategy and architecture.
- Conduct periodic technical reviews and assessments of customer workloads, pinpointing opportunities for workload optimization and suggesting suitable solutions.
- Stay informed of the latest developments and trends in Kubernetes, cloud computing and infrastructure, sharing your thought leadership with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Lead the prototyping and initiation of research and development efforts for emerging products and solutions, delivering prototypes and key insights for internal consumption.
- Represent CoreWeave at conferences and industry events, with occasional travel as required.
Who You Are:
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of proven experience as a Solutions Architect, engineer, researcher, or technical account manager in cloud infrastructure, focusing on building distributed systems or HPC/cloud services, with an expertise focused on AI/ML inference
- Fluency in cloud computing concepts, architecture, and technologies with hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions
- Proven track record with building customer relationships, communicating clearly and the ability to break down complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Deep expertise with NVIDIA GPUs typically used in AI/ML applications and associated technologies such as Infiniband and NVIDIA Collective Communications Library (NCCL)
- Demonstrated experience with running large scale Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) training and inference workloads on technologies such as Slurm and Kubernetes. You understand integration points between cloud solutions and enterprise IT
Preferred:
- Code contributions to open-source inference frameworks
- Experience with scripting and automation related to AI/ML workloads
- Experience with building solutions across multi-cloud environments
- Client or customer-facing publications/talks on latency, optimization, or advanced model-server architectures

About the Role:
As a Manager of Bare Metal Support Engineering, you'll be at the center of ensuring our dedicated infrastructure remains stable, reliable, and performant. You’ll lead daily support operations, triage incidents, drive escalations, and ensure that hardware is monitored, maintained, and delivered effectively for our clients. You'll oversee a team of experienced Systems Operations Engineers and help build a new team focused on our Bare Metal support model. This role balances tactical execution with operational maturity, working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to scale processes as we grow.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a skilled team responsible for maintaining and optimizing physical infrastructure across multiple client environments.
- Build, develop, and lead a dedicated Infrastructure Support team focused on supporting key infrastructure, handling escalations, and ensuring smooth hardware operations.
- Oversee the resolution of infrastructure-related incidents, escalation management, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Improve support processes to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime, ensuring the infrastructure meets client expectations.
- Work closely with product, infrastructure, and other teams to ensure seamless delivery of infrastructure resources.
- Manage client communication during escalations and issue resolution to ensure transparency and client satisfaction.
- Mentor team members, developing their skills to manage and maintain critical infrastructure effectively.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience leading teams responsible for infrastructure support, data center operations, or physical compute environments.
- Hands-on experience with Linux system administration and command-line tools.
- Familiarity with hardware-level diagnostics, troubleshooting, and replacement (servers, power, cabling, etc.).
- Experience working with high-performance rack-scale hardware, including CPU and GPU-based compute nodes.
- Understanding of GPU infrastructure (e.g., NVIDIA A100/H100s, PCIe/NVLink, liquid cooling) or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to HPC environments.
- Proven track record in incident and escalation management, with direct ownership of client or production-impacting issues.
- Experience managing ticket-based workflows (Jira, Zendesk, etc.) in a high-urgency technical environment.
- Comfortable interpreting and acting on metrics (MTTR, SLOs, backlog, ticket trends) to drive operational improvements.
- Skilled in managing scheduling, shift coverage, and team logistics in 24/7 or hybrid support models.
- Travel up to 30% annually
Preferred:
- Experience managing infrastructure support teams in high-growth or rapidly evolving environments.
- Proven ability to develop and implement operational processes that scale with business needs.
- Strong familiarity with server and GPU hardware lifecycle management: deployment, maintenance, thermal/power concerns, RMA coordination, and decommissioning.
- Demonstrated success in coaching and growing technical teams through training, mentorship, and performance development.
- Skilled in both developing and interpreting metrics to drive accountability, continuous improvement, and executive visibility.
- Familiarity with AI/ML workloads, cluster utilization patterns, or the infrastructure needs of GPU-heavy clients is a plus.
