We are seeking a Home Developer to join our Foster Care and Adoption Program. As a Home Developer, you will Shine Hope as you are responsible for the coordination and implementation of recruiting families to become Buckner foster parents and promoting Buckner Foster Care services to the community. You will also provide an ongoing assessment of the prospective families. The role will also provide monitoring and development of the licensed foster parents. What you'll do:

• Coordinate and implement the recruitment of foster parents for the Foster Care program. Recruit foster homes by writing letters, placing ads and giving presentations; take inquiries from potential foster families.
• Recruit and develop foster homes; participate in public relations assignments directed for purposes of educating the community about resource need within the region of service.
• Timely and accurately complete the required licensing, assessment, and support processes to ensure that families meet Licensing Standards and are appropriately prepared to care for children; make recommendations for utilization; introduce new families to field/adoptive staff for future utilization; amend individual licenses relative to caps, city, age ranges, etc. and renew licenses at required intervals.
• Maintain a supportive relationship with foster care resources, which includes identifying on-going training and support needs; assisting in obtaining such services along with other team members; coordinating, with assistance from other team members; providing support and strengthening Department relationships with foster parents; monitoring licensed foster or adoptive homes as required to ensure the home is in compliance with Licensing Standards and assisting families in resolving compliance issues.
• Work with foster parent in coordinating visits with placing agency and/or family for family visits and contact. Assist foster parents with transportation for family visits and other necessary appointments.
• Assist foster parents with age-appropriate therapeutic and leisure activities.
• Consult with TDFPS staff with recommendations about the selection of foster family resources that best meet the needs of the children, which includes recommendations for support services to maintain the resource.
• Conduct investigations relative to complaints about licensed foster /adoptive homes in accordance with the TDFPS; identify issues and assist families in developing corrective action plans; and make recommendations for licensing enforcement when appropriate.
• Participate in regional needs assessment process by identifying and prioritizing foster / adoptive care needs at the local level.
• Provide / maintain reports, statistics, records and documentation of activities on a monthly basis or as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.
• Requires extensive knowledge of modern methods and techniques required for specialized training programs.
• Requires working knowledge of the administration of training programs and knowledge of available literature in the social work field.

We are seeking a Family Coach/Case Manager to join our Family Hope Center. As a Family Coach, you will Shine Hope on our program participants as you interview individual clients and families in order to assess their physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs. You will provide family coaching, also known as case management services to Family Hope Center clients and assist individuals and families with issues such as poverty, drug addiction, child and spousal abuse, and homelessness. You will also organize support groups, help clients obtain community services, refer patients to other community agencies, and collaborate with civic, religious, and business groups to combat social problems through community programs. What you'll do:

• Create, develop, and implement Family Hope Center programs in alignment with approved core programs and the Family Strengthening Framework to enhance the delivery of services that meet the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of individuals/families as outlined in each person’s plan of service.
• Assist with the design and coordination of supportive services for families in accordance with program goals and objectives.
• Assist eligible program participants with out-of-home placement or placement in respite care with family and/or friends when necessary.
• Timely and accurately compile and analyze intake and referral information to make an assessment of clients/families’ needs; complete the enrollment process. Timely and accurately complete all necessary enrollment and assessment paperwork.
• Provide case management services including, but not limited to, reviewing, evaluating, and updating individualized service plans, case notes, financial distributions, and referrals.
• Coordinate services for group and individual therapy for assigned families/clients as appropriate. Provide counseling for crisis intervention as appropriate.
• Assist program participants with accessing community resources, including, but not limited to, assisting with program enrollments and other services.
• Develop professional relationships with institutions and agencies that provide education, job training, living skills training, employment services, housing, and child care services in order to coordinate services for program participants.
• Analyze program needs; develop, modify, and implement changes in the program to meet changing needs of clients.
• Create and manage schedule of events and classes. Coordinate and facilitate meetings and trainings for clients and groups, including, but not limited to, Substance Abuse, Parent Education, Conflict Resolution, and Anger Management.

 What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or other related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years prior related case management experience working with at risk children and families required.
• Requires proficient working knowledge of and/or work experience using community resources.
• Requires ability to read, write, and speak in English professionally.

We are seeking a Part-Time Children's Program Aide to join our Family Hope Center.  The Children’s Program Aide serves in a strategic function at Buckner Children and Family Services and is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of all children programs inc. What you'll do:

• Provide an environment that is growth producing and which stimulates self-confidence and trust and a respect of people.
• Remain attentive to the physical, emotional, spiritual, and academic growth of the children under supervision.
• Ensure that the environment is age appropriate, culturally sensitive and allows for children’s personal expression.
• Participate with youth in character development/enhancement activities and service learning projects.
• Maintain a positive attitude and approach when working with the children, parents, guests and coworkers.
• Report to supervisor any special needs or problems of individual children.
• Support the program in place for the children in care and have a regularly scheduled daily plan, which includes elements of recreation, responsibility and spirituality.
• Implement appropriate discipline and supervision of the youth in accordance with Buckner policy, regulatory requirements and standards, and the needs of the children.
• Maintain facility in a clean and orderly manner. Report needed repairs to immediate supervisor.
• Maintain an awareness of the needs of children with an openness and flexibility for creative program changes when necessary. Implement program changes as directed.
• Maintain records, daily report sheets and incident reports and other documentation as necessary.
• Assist with paperwork, bulletin boards, and other documentation as required to develop and enhance the skills of the children in care.
• Assist youth with homework, arts, and crafts projects and implement recreation activities. 
• Report immediately any suspected child abuse/neglect to the Supervisor.
• Provide safe transportation for children in van or other Buckner vehicle as required.
• Assist with cleaning duties as appropriate, including, but not limited to, wiping down tables and emptying trash.
• Assist with menu planning and preparation and the delivery of snack and/or meal items.
• Attend and participate in meeting and in-service training, including CPR and First Aid training

 What you’ll bring:

• High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) required.
• Requires current CPR and First Aid certifications; must attend CPR, First Aid and restraint training as required.
