Purpose of the Position

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional service-oriented team, working on extending and maintaining our Affiliate Marketing platform. Your responsibilities include writing clean, secure, and well-tested code, following best-practice guidelines, and collaborating with the team to operate and enhance assigned parts of the platform.

You will have a significant impact in terms of efficiency, problem-solving, and mentoring colleagues. Additionally, you will work closely with the product owner and team members to translate user needs into technical solutions. The Team

Required

• At least 6 years of hands‑on Java experience in commercial software engineering roles

Purpose of Position

As Information Security Risk Specialist (f/m/d) you will own and drive Awin’s global Information Security Risk Management capability end-to-end, ensuring the business not only understands its risks but takes measurable action to reduce them. Key Tasks

• Lead enterprise-wide risk identification and assessment across strategic initiatives, technology, and third parties. Ensure risks are prioritised and clearly articulated in business terms (financial, regulatory, reputational) to enable effective decision-making. Drive risk remediation to closure, holding risk owners accountable for delivery and escalating where progress stalls. Ensure risk management is embedded in cross-functional initiatives and considered as part of key business decisions.
• Own and maintain the Information Security Risk Register, ensuring it reflects true risk exposure, progress, and outcomes, not just status updates. Facilitate risk reviews that are focused on decisions, accountability, and measurable progress.
• Define, embed, and maintain the organisation’s risk appetite, ensuring it is actively used in both business and technology decision-making. Establish and track KPIs that measure real improvements in risk posture, not just activity.
• Provide clear, opinionated, and actionable risk insights to senior management and the board. Act as the bridge between technical and business teams, ensuring risks are clearly understood and acted upon.
• Confidently challenge and influence stakeholders to ensure risks are neither understated nor inappropriately accepted.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer — Foundations, Reliability & Architecture to join the AI Platform Team and help define, build, and operate the shared platform capabilities that other teams will use to develop AI-powered products.

In this role, you will work on the technical foundations of AI development at Awin: shared services, internal APIs and SDKs, architecture patterns, observability, runtime reliability, and production readiness. You will help shape the platformʼs golden path and make sure it is scalable, supportable, and easy for other teams to adopt.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and evolve shared AI platform capabilities used by multiple teams
• Define and improve platform architecture, technical standards, and recommended patterns for AI development
•  Build and maintain reusable internal APIs, SDKs, templates, and reference implementations

About the role

We are looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer - Security & Governance to join the AI Platform Team and help define and implement the guardrails, privacy patterns, governance mechanisms, and safe defaults that allow AI adoption to scale responsibly across Awin.

In this role, you will work on the safety and control layer of AI development: AI security patterns, privacy and PII handling guidance, provider and model governance, reusable guardrails, and lightweight readiness mechanisms that improve safety without creating unnecessary process.

This role is best suited to someone who combines strong engineering judgment with real practical experience in security, governance, privacy, or compliance for AI-powered systems. We care more about evidence of sound decision-making and pragmatic implementation than about titles or years in a specific niche.

What youʼll do

• Define and improve practical guardrails and safe defaults for AI-powered systems
• Help shape Awinʼs approach to privacy, PII handling, and data-safe patterns for AI workflows
• Contribute to approved provider and model guidance, including practical validation and usage expectations
• Work with engineers to translate policy, risk, and governance needs into reusable platform patterns and engineering controls
• Help define production-ready expectations for AI systems from a safety, governance, and risk perspective
• Contribute to readiness checks, automated validations, and scalable governance mechanisms that reduce reliance on manual approval processes
• Help improve logging, tracing, and observability practices so AI systems are auditable and safer to operate
• Partner closely with Security, Legal, Architecture, and product engineering teams to ensure standards are practical and proportionate
• Support teams in understanding AI-specific risks such as unsafe outputs, provider misuse, privacy exposure, and poor trace hygiene
• Write clear documentation, patterns, and guidance that help teams apply standards consistently
• Contribute to strong engineering practices across the team through clean code, testing, and collaboration 
• Mentor others and help raise the teamʼs overall maturity in AI safety, governance, and privacy-aware engineering

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience working on production systems
• Practical experience in security, governance, privacy, compliance, or risk-related engineering work
• Clear hands-on experience applying those controls to AI- or LLM-powered systems
• Strong understanding of AI-specific risks, including privacy exposure, PII handling, unsafe outputs, provider/model risk, and misuse or abuse patterns
• Experience translating policy or risk requirements into practical engineering controls, patterns, or defaults
• Good understanding of how to make AI systems observable, auditable, and safer to operate in production
• Ability to work effectively with engineers, architects, and non-engineering stakeholders such as Security or Legal
• Good practical experience with Python and/or JavaScript / TypeScript
• Comfortable working across the lifecycle of a platform capability, from design and implementation to rollout and iteration
• Good understanding of information security and how to design solutions with security in mind
• Comfortable applying unit testing, continuous integration, and continuous deploymentStrong communication skills, both synchronous and asynchronous
• Comfortable working through ambiguity and helping shape standards where the right balance between safety and speed is still evolving

We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help us build the next generation of AI-native products at Awin. The features you'll work on are used directly by advertisers, publishers and partner managers across our global ecosystem to grow and run their affiliate programs things like conversational AI experiences, intelligent automation and decision-support tools built on top of Large Language Models and agent-based architectures.

This is a senior product engineering role where you will own real problems end-to-end, make architecture decisions the team builds on and balance technical depth with the realities of shipping software to customers. What You'll Do

• Design, build and operate customer-facing AI features end-to-end, from conversational experiences to intelligent automation.
• Architect agent-based systems: multi-step reasoning, tool execution, sub-agent orchestration, state management and streaming, structured outputs, persistent memory and human-in-the-loop approval flows.
• Decide how the system grounds, retrieves and constructs context.
• Pick the right pattern (retrieval, structured tools, agentic flows) for each problem and be able to defend the choice.
• Treat prompt and context engineering as first-class engineering work.
• Own AI quality. Build evaluation datasets, regression tests for prompts and agents and the debugging discipline needed to get to root cause across model outputs, retrieval and tool calls.
•  Make AI production-ready: observability, tracing, reliability, cost, latency and the safety controls that protect against hallucination, prompt injection and context leakage.
• Make and explain the trade-offs between accuracy, latency, cost and safety within engineering and product partners. Partner within Product Trio to shape what we build, not just how we build it.
• Turn ambiguous product ideas into concrete technical designs and influence roadmap with what the technology actually makes possible.
• Mentor engineers around you, contribute to design reviews and our hiring bar and raise the standard for what production-ready AI means inside the team.

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production systems.
• Strong Python and backend system design.
• Real, hands-on experience building and running production LLM-based systems not just prototypes.
• Deep experience with agent-based architectures using frameworks such as LangGraph, the Deep Agents or equivalents with multi-step reasoning, tool use, sub-agent orchestration, state and streaming.
• Strong working knowledge of retrieval and context construction (RAG, embeddings, chunking, ranking) and good judgement about when to use those patterns inside an agentic system.
• A solid track record of evaluating and debugging AI systems: structured evals, regression tests and tracing or observability with tools such as LangSmith or similar.
• Familiarity with emerging agent orchestration standards (MCP or similar). Experience with vector databases and hybrid retrieval.
• A clear understanding of LLM failure modes like prompt injection, content safety, context leakage  and how to mitigate them in real systems.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, API design and cloud-native architectures on AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway).
• Confident with PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker and modern CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions.
• A collaborative engineer who's comfortable working in a Scrum team alongside Product, UX and cross functional teams.

As Information Security Risk Manager (f/m/d) you will own and drive Awin’s global Information Security Risk Management capability end-to-end, ensuring the business not only understands its risks but takes measurable action to reduce them. Ensure risks are prioritised and clearly articulated in business terms (financial, regulatory, reputational) to enable effective decision-making. Drive risk remediation to closure, holding risk owners accountable for delivery and escalating where progress stalls. Ensure risk management is embedded in cross-functional initiatives and considered as part of key business decisions.
• Own and maintain the Information Security Risk Register, ensuring it reflects true risk exposure, progress, and outcomes, not just status updates. Facilitate risk reviews that are focused on decisions, accountability, and measurable progress.
• Define, embed, and maintain the organisation’s risk appetite, ensuring it is actively used in both business and technology decision-making. Establish and track KPIs that measure real improvements in risk posture, not just activity.
• Provide clear, opinionated, and actionable risk insights to senior management and the board. Act as the bridge between technical and business teams, ensuring risks are clearly understood and acted upon.
• Confidently challenge and influence stakeholders to ensure risks are neither understated nor inappropriately accepted.

• As the most senior member of the team, mentor and develop GRC team members, building capability in risk management and assurance.
