The Opportunity at Altana

We are looking for a sharp, hands-on Director of Accounting to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will lead a mighty accounting team, manage and quarterback the monthly closing process, streamline our internal accounting processes end-to-end including procure-to-pay and quote-to-cash. You will work cross-functionally with teams across the company and be a key driver of financial accuracy, reporting transparency, process efficiency, and operational scale. Your Role

NetSuite Administration & Month – End Close Optimization

• Serve as the internal NetSuite subject matter expert, managing workflows, saved searches, and reporting.
• Partner with IT and Finance leadership to support system upgrades, integrations, and new module implementations as the Company scales.
• Ensure data integrity and build scalable processes that grow with the business and accelerate month-end close accuracy and utility.
• Lead the identification of control gaps and work cross-functionally to remediate findings and strengthen control environment.
• Streamline allocations across verticals and transaction types through a systematic and automated process. 

Team Leadership

• Embed AI solutions into workflows on a regular basis. 
• Manage and develop a lean, high-performing accounting team, setting clear priorities and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Adapt quickly to shifting business needs and lead the team through change with clarity and confidence.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external and internal auditors, coordinating requests, preparing documentation, and managing timelines to ensure smooth audit cycles.

Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

• Own the P2P cycle from vendor onboarding and purchase order management through invoice processing and payment execution.
• Partner closely with Procurement, Operations, and Legal to streamline approval workflows and ensure policy compliance.
• Identify and implement process improvements that reduce cycle times and increase visibility across the P2P function.

Quote-to-Cash

• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and support a seamless customer experience.
• Automate our billing process by supporting the integration from our CRM to our ERP and billing system.
• Administer the customer billing system implementation, ensuring invoices are accurate, timely, and aligned with contract terms.
• Maintain billing system configurations, user access, and documentation.

You Have

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management or team lead role.
• Deep, direct expertise with NetSuite (3+ years preferred; report customization, scripting, and saved search experience strongly preferred).
• Experience leading a monthly close process and managing multiple stakeholders on the accounting team and cross functionally to hit close deadlines.
• Proven experience owning procure-to-pay workflows in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience managing or administering a customer billing system.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly.
• Strong communicator who can translate financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience with Tools such as Navan, Tipalti, and / or Floqast preferred. 
• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.

The Opportunity at Altana

We’re looking for a dedicated Customer Success Manager (CSM) who will have the opportunity to drive adoption and impact across Altana’s product network. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of enterprise customers, focusing on onboarding, activation, and steady-state success once accounts are live. You will play a key role in onboarding customer suppliers to the Altana network and supporting operational deliverables for strategic customers.

As a CSM, you will be a critical partner in product enablement, user management, and support, serving as the operational backbone for user adoption across the broader customer portfolio. You will act as the day-to-day champion for users—guiding them in effectively leveraging the Altana Product Network, conducting regular check-ins, and ensuring customers consistently realize value from the platform.

You Will

• Drive Supplier Onboarding: Lead the outreach and onboarding process for our customers' suppliers, ensuring they successfully join the product network and understand how to share data and collaborate within the platform.
• Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of customers, owning regular check-ins and adoption reviews to ensure health and satisfaction.

About You

Altana's mission is to fix globalization. PLM systems know what a product is designed to be. ERP systems know what was ordered and built. Trade and logistics systems know what was shipped and declared. In theory, these should tell a coherent story. In practice, the products these systems model diverge, lack granularity or were stylized in a way that makes the changing face of globalization break down.  The as-designed BOM, the as-sourced BOM, and the as-built BOM diverge — silently, constantly — and nobody finds out until a shipment is held, an audit is triggered, or a forced labor allegation surfaces three tiers deep in a supply chain no one has fully mapped.

What You'll Do

Reimagine the Product Data Lifecycle

• Own the product vision for how Altana's Product Passports serve as the connective tissue between PLM, ERP, and trade compliance systems — replacing the fragmented, snapshot-in-time data handoffs that define enterprise product data today.
• Define how the as-designed, as-sourced, and as-built views of a bill of materials are reconciled and maintained over time — and what it means for trade compliance when they diverge.
• Design the workflows that allow enterprises to propagate product changes — new suppliers, substitute components, revised country-of-origin determinations — continuously across their commercial documents, classifications, and regulatory filings.

Close the Gap Between Product and Trade

• Own the product vision for how structured product data flows from a SKU definition through a commercial invoice, advance ship notice, and customs entry — automatically, accurately, and with full audit trail.
• Identify where manual, error-prone processes (data re-entry between systems, BOM-to-invoice reconciliation, HTS classification at the line-item level) can be automated, validated, or eliminated entirely through a well-modeled product identity.
• Build the case — with data, customer evidence, and working prototypes — for prioritizing the integrations and automations that unlock the most compliance value.

Turn Systems Expertise into Product Requirements

• Translate your firsthand experience with PLM implementations, ERP configurations, and the broken handoffs between them into concrete product features your engineering partners can build.
• Define how Altana captures the product model — components, materials, suppliers, origin determinations — in a way that is rich enough to support trade compliance, flexible enough to reflect real-world manufacturing variance, and structured enough to be machine-readable.
• Serve as the internal authority on how enterprise product data is created, versioned, and consumed across the supply chain lifecycle, keeping product decisions grounded in operational reality.

Build Collaboratively with AI

• Use AI tools to prototype workflows, generate explanations, and rapidly test ideas with customers and engineers — before a single line of production code is written.
• Think creatively about where AI can eliminate friction at the PLM-ERP-trade interface: extracting structured BOMs from unstructured documents, reconciling as-designed vs. as-built discrepancies, recommending classifications from component-level data, or flagging origin risks before a shipment is tendered.
• Champion a culture of "show, don't tell" — use demos, mockups, and AI-assisted visualizations to align stakeholders and accelerate decision-making.

Partner Across the Ecosystem

• Engage directly with enterprise product engineers, trade compliance teams, procurement leaders, and ERP/PLM administrators to deeply understand their workflows, pain points, and workarounds.
• Work with government-facing product teams to ensure the enterprise product data model is designed as the complement to CBP's enforcement and facilitation tools — so that what an importer knows about a product is what regulators need to see.
• Collaborate with engineering on API design and data schemas that connect PLM platforms, ERP systems, logistics networks, and Altana's Product Passport layer in ways that feel seamless — not like another integration project.

You have spent 5+ years working with PLM and ERP systems in an enterprise manufacturing, sourcing, or trade compliance context — not as a software vendor, but as someone who had to make them work together. You've traced a component through a multi-level BOM, watched the as-sourced reality diverge from the as-designed spec, and dealt with the downstream consequences in procurement, manufacturing, and customs.

You understand the full product-to-shipment data chain. You know the difference between a SKU, a BOM line, a purchase order, a commercial invoice, an advance ship notice, and a customs entry — and you understand precisely how data integrity breaks down at each handoff. You've seen what happens when an ERP item master doesn't match what's actually being shipped, and you know why that matters for trade compliance.

You're a systems thinker. You don't just know the configurations — you understand why the architecture works the way it does, where the seams fail under real-world conditions, and what a genuinely better version would look like. You're frustrated by friction that has been normalized and energized by the opportunity to fix it at scale.

You're tech-enabled and AI-curious. You don't need to write code, but you're comfortable talking to engineers about data structures, API design, and integration architecture. You use AI tools actively in your own work — to draft, prototype, analyze, and explain. You're excited about what automation and machine learning make possible at the intersection of enterprise product data and global trade compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with PLM and/or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Teamcenter, Windchill, Arena, or equivalent) in a manufacturing, sourcing, or trade compliance context
• Deep familiarity with bill of materials structures — multi-level, configurable, and as-built variants — and how they are created, maintained, and consumed across the product lifecycle
• Working knowledge of how product data flows into commercial documents: commercial invoices, packing lists, advance ship notices, and customs entries
• Experience with the PLM-ERP integration layer — item master synchronization, BOM transfer, ECO/ECN workflows, and the failure modes that emerge at each handoff
• Familiarity with trade compliance data requirements and how traditional PLM and ERP systems breakdown when interacting with fright and customs.
• Experience with data modeling, integration architecture, or enterprise system implementation is a strong plus

About the Role

You will be the founding BI Engineer at Altana, responsible for building the analytical infrastructure that enables data-driven decision-making across the entire company. This is not a reporting role that sits downstream of decisions already made—it is a foundational engineering role that will define how Altana understands its own business, customers, and products.

You will own the full stack from data modeling and pipeline orchestration through semantic layers, dashboards, and self-service tooling. You will partner directly with engineering, product, go-to-market, and finance leadership to translate ambiguous business questions into reliable, well-modeled data products. Because you are the first hire in this function, you will also set the technical direction, tooling choices, and quality standards that future BI engineers will inherit.

What You Will Do

Build the BI Foundation

• Design and implement a scalable analytics data warehouse (or lakehouse) layer on top of Altana’s existing data infrastructure.
• Define the canonical dimensional model: facts, dimensions, conformed keys, and slowly changing dimensions for core business entities (customers, transactions, subscriptions, product usage, pipeline).
• Stand up and own the transformation layer (e.g., dbt) with version control, CI/CD testing, and documentation standards from day one.
• Establish a semantic/metrics layer so that “revenue,” “active customer,” and “retention” mean exactly one thing company-wide.

Deliver Insight at Scale

• Build and maintain executive dashboards covering SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, GRR, expansion/contraction, logo churn), product engagement, and operational health.
• Create self-service datasets and exploration environments so that PMs, GTM leads, and finance can answer their own questions without filing a ticket.
• Own data quality monitoring, alerting, and incident response for the BI layer.

Partner Across the Business

• Act as the embedded analytics thought partner for engineering leadership, product, sales, CS, and finance—translating business context into data requirements and vice versa.
• Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in the data; surface them before anyone asks.
• Drive alignment on KPI definitions, measurement methodology, and reporting cadences.

Set the Technical Direction

• Evaluate and recommend the BI tooling stack (visualization, orchestration, cataloging, observability) with an eye toward total cost of ownership and long-term maintainability while re-using infrastructure and tooling already part of the larger stack.
• Write the playbook: style guides, naming conventions, PR review standards, and on-call expectations for the BI function.
• Hire, mentor, and grow the BI team as demand scales.

Qualifications

Must-Haves

• 7+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering, BI engineering, or a closely related data discipline.
• Deep fluency in SQL and at least one transformation framework (dbt strongly preferred).
• Strong dimensional modeling skills: star/snowflake schemas, conformed dimensions, incremental loading patterns.
• Production experience operating a modern lakehouse stack (e.g., Snowflake/BigQuery/ Databricks),  including transformation tooling (dbt or DLT) and a BI layer (Looker, Tableau, or Sigma).
• Track record of defining and shipping company-wide KPI frameworks and executive dashboards.
• Comfort working in ambiguity: you have built a BI function (or a significant new workstream within one) from scratch before.
• Excellent communication skills—you can explain a data model to an engineer and a retention curve to a CRO with equal clarity.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Python for data pipelines, scripting, or lightweight ML/statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with SaaS business models and metrics (ARR, NRR, logo vs. dollar churn, cohort analysis).
• Exposure to supply chain, trade compliance, or government contracting domains.
• Experience with data cataloging or governance tools (e.g., Atlan, DataHub, Monte Carlo).
• Prior experience as the first or founding analytics hire at a growth-stage company.

The Role: Principal Product Manager Supply Chain Intelligence

When a new tariff hits, a regulation changes, or a geopolitical crisis reshapes supply chains, companies scramble to understand their exposure and what to do next. Supply chains are vast, opaque, and shaped by complex regulations. The data needed to act is scattered across systems and buried in value chains that span dozens of countries and hundreds of suppliers.  Altana maps these supply chains into a global network, giving companies multi-tier visibility they've never had before.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

You will own turning that visibility into prioritized action for importers, logistics service providers, and compliance teams. Help users answer questions like: 

• What's the impact of a new tariff on my business?
• How do I ensure my supply chain is free from forced labor?

The Role: Principal Product Manager, Customer Data Platform

As the Principal Product Manager for Customer Data Platform, you will be the owner defining strategy/product vision through feature definition and roadmap prioritization. US Salary Range and Benefits

$190,000- $245,000 USD

The salary range, to the extent specified for this role, is a good faith statement of the minimum and maximum levels of the annual based salary for the position.  The base salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on a wide range of compensation factors, including, but not limited to, work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Altana's total compensation package. The Opportunity at Altana

We are seeking a high-leverage Chief of Staff (CoS) to serve as a strategic partner and extension of our CEO. This is a high accountability role designed for a leader who can operate elbow-to-elbow with our executive team while remaining unafraid to get deep into the weeds of execution.

The primary mission of the CoS is to drive must-win initiatives and ensure organizational scalability as we navigate complex environments. You will be the architect of our operating system. Designing the cadences, decision forums, and accountability mechanisms that allow Altana to run on systems rather than just personalities.

You Will

• Executive & Board Governance: Own the Executive Team management process, including drafting agendas, managing 1:1 follow-ups, gathering feedback, and holding leaders accountable to commitments.
• Government Affairs & Ecosystem Strategy: Act as a key liaison in our external efforts, leveraging a deep understanding of federal government structures to drive strategic business development and community work.
• Company-Wide Planning: Lead the translation of high-level strategy into actionable goals and OKRs. You will own the alignment, tracking, and measurement of these metrics across the company.
• De-bottlenecking Execution: Identify areas where the organization is experiencing execution lag and intervene to resolve friction, acting as a "functional pinch-hitter" when temporary capacity gaps arise.
• Initiative Ownership: Take full ownership of 1–2 high-priority, cross-functional initiatives at a time—specifically those that lack a natural home within existing departments.
• CEO Leverage: Serve as the primary filter for the CEO’s time, distinguishing signal from noise and ruthlessly prioritizing the few initiatives that truly move the needle.

You Have

• Federal Government Expertise: Significant experience working within, or very close to, the U.S. Federal Government. You must possess a sophisticated "playbook" for how to navigate and get things done within federal agencies and the broader public sector arena.
• Internal Operations Leadership: Proven track record in highly cross-functional roles such as Business Operations, Chief of Staff, or Revenue/Marketing Operations. You have experience building systems for scale.
• Professional Services Background: Background in Management Consulting, Investment Banking, or Venture Capital is highly preferred.
• Strategic Maturity: Experience operating at a senior level, with the confidence to challenge senior executives and the humility to handle menial tasks if they accelerate the company.

The Engineering team is responsible for building out the platforms, API’s, services, workflows, and logical architectures for bringing this vision to life.  We are creating a platform fundamentally driven by AI, which scales to a massive trove of data, and a diverse customer base; it is a complex system that will stretch engineering in many directions.  You’ll work closely with our Data Scientists on projects to analyze and observe world-scale datasets, write code that can scale to produce never-before-seen insights, and construct APIs to deliver our product vision.

Your Responsibilities 

• Ingest product requirements, define technical requirements, and design practical, iterative technology designs that achieve our product and technical goals.
• Work with your product manager to develop implementation plans against our technical product roadmaps.
• Personally maintain, develop, and deploy our customer facing workflows to create and  support our overall product architecture.
• Analyze and propose technical solutions to invent, enable, and enhance our product offerings.
• Be responsible for automating, testing, and deploying your own and your team’s work.
• Review the code and technical designs authored by your team members, and hold a high bar for quality.
• Mentor developers and help them level up their skills.
• Be responsible for the technical excellence of day-to-day work of a team of engineers and ensure that the team’s deliverables are maturing along the defined roadmap.
• Drive technical decision-making and problem-solving across the team, ensuring solutions are efficient, scalable, and maintainable.
• Identify technical and operational gaps for the team and create plans and work items to address them.
• Serve as the domain expert for a portion of the product surface area, while holding a firm technical understanding for other areas as well.
• Cooperate with team leads and managers in order to keep the team focused on outcomes while delivering sustainable and consistent code.

About You

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of real-world professional experience writing back end or data-driven software in demanding environments.
• You’ve deployed production code and services to cloud-hosted environments.
• You have demonstrated experience delivering incremental releases from proof-of-concept to MVP to production.
• Self-starter with demonstrated experience working on large, complex problems.
• You care deeply about engineering excellence, clean code, and knowledge-sharing.
• You have experience with taking over codebases and making them your own, carrying forward with new feature development.
• You are a master of prioritizing and picking your area of focus intentionally
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading other engineers on complex projects.

Nice to have, but not required

• Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience using workflow orchestration technologies like Temporal
